Stuart’s Glass & Screen

Highest recommendations!!! I only learned of Stuart’s yesterday morning as I was calling around to find out about repairing 14 aged and yellowed plastic (in place of glass) windows in the California Room of my in-​laws mobile home. Stuart told me I needed Mylar not plastic from Home Depot. and He said he could do them at his shop but it might take two or three days. Fine by me. The price was good. So I brought them in and they were done this morning before 8am. Less than 24 hours! The new windows really make the CA Rm snap. They are tight, with no wrinkles. The mylar looks like clear glass. He and his team did really nice work.
While he worked on the Mylar windows, I was trying to replace a screen in the same CA rm. Could not for the life of me figure out how to take the screen frame out to re-​screen. I asked Stuart about it. He told me he had seen that kind many times. The screen frame is part of the support for the CA rm. The windows must be re-​screened in place from the outside with a ladder.
Sounded daunting to me. But Stuart gave me a couple of instructions (start with the top, let the screen hang like a drape, do the bottom next and then the sides). He offered to sell me the screening material and loan me a professional grade tool to put the spline in.
I bought the screen borrowed the tool and did what Stuart told me to do. The screen came out beautifully!
In meantime I asked him about the mirror in the master bath room. He told me how to replace it. He even threw in some mirror mastic to help attach it to the wall and instructed me how to apply the mastic. Now there is a beautiful new bigger mirror in the bathroom.
Twenty four hours ago, I was stuck with a bunch of repairs I had no idea of how I would get done or even who to hire to get them done. Now just a day later, the California room looks better than it has in years and the master bath has a sparkling new mirror (with smoothed edges. the one I took out had not had the edges smoothed. Cut my hand. So much easier to put in a Stuart’s mirror with edges that dont cut your hand and Stuart’s mirror was thicker and more substantial. It feels and looks like a high class mirror)

Stuart’s prices and workmanship are great but his advice is even better.
His shop is a little hard to find, down an alley off Industrial but well worth going there. I am just sorry that I did not know about him earlier.

Hopefully I can get across how perfect my experience with this company was from beginning to end– seriously.
After several visits, I ordered two pieces of specialty glass for a decorative divide and a shelf. (I will update with pics as our contractor is almost ready to install) I almost fell over when the price was almost ½ of what another local glass company had quoted!
Through out the process, the owner and everyone that works there were very patient with me. I really didn’t expect much because I knew my order was fairly small and they have «bigger» customers to get to. However, they made me feel my project was just as important, they offered samples I brought home, never pushed me, & never seemed annoyed with my indecisiveness! In fact, when I got impatient with myself and wanted to just order, the owner was very straight forward & pointed me in the right direction so my glass would be perfect! I appreciate that because he could have just accepted my little minimum order & been on to the next larger order. Instead he took time to explain & made sure we were all comfortable with the final outcome.

Why can’t every business operate this well?
Stuart’s Glass & Screen sets the new standard as far as I’m concerned. We needed insulated glass in two windows replaced as part of a bathroom remodel. I called Stuart and he suggested that I visit his shop to look at the different types of glass that were available. Went to his shop and looked through the glass samples — so many it was hard to decide, but there were a few completed windows that I could look at to get a better idea of what my windows would look like when they were finished. Stuart and his staff helped me make my decision, and we scheduled a time for someone to come out to the house to measure. Angel came by the next day, and the order was placed. A couple days later I got a call from Stuart to let me know my windows were ready for installation. Unfortunately, he was TOO speedy and had to wait for installation until the other contractors were finished with their work in the house. Once we were ready, Angel came by for installation and did an absolute meticulous job of replacing the bathroom windows. When he was finished the windows looked fantastic and the bathroom was immaculate. Friendly, professional service, great price, and fast turn-​around gives this place 5 stars… but the staff at Stuart’s Glass & Screen — in particular, Stuart and Angel — are what really make this the place to go to for glass and screen repairs.

What a nice person. I was so pleased that I did business here. Stuart treated me so well and is very professional, service oriented. I was there to have a piece of glass cut for a window so I could replace it. He had the right color glass and I was able to get it on a Saturday so I didn’t have to miss work. Glass was perfect and he even had given me installation instruction.
I was happy to spend my money there.
I highly recommend this business!

I went to Stuarts this morning & The only reason these guys don’t get 10 stars is that Unilocal doesn’t have a 10 star grading system. I met with Stuart about a problem with a travel trailer window & needed some screens redone, Hello… I had customer service like Nordstrom and actually better.
I can not say enough on how nice it was to get the quality work and more than fair prices.

I’m selling my house and I needed some fast window service. I found this company on a google search and placed a call. Unfortunately I’m not in Stuarts service area but Stuart spent about 20 minutes on the phone with me going over my inspection before I sell. He told me what exactly parts I needed and gave me a reference to a local company to Scripps Ranch. He also told me the price should not be more that $ 400 to replace the balancers on 5 windows. I called the other company and they quoted me a price much higher. So I called Stuart back and he put me in touch with Angel which is one of his repair guys. Angel called and arranged to survey the problem. He returned a few days later and fixed all 5 windows. Angel was very professional, took pride in his work and very tidy. I can’t think this business enough for the work they provided. I would recommend this place over any other for window services.

This is a great company! Stewart came to my house to fix a window pane and a screen. He was fast and also very informative. Both look like new and I am so glad I called him to make the repairs. This is a small company with honesty and integrity. I will surly call him next time I’m in need for window and screen repair.

Stuart’s is the place to go if you need work, The other glass company (named after the town) was 4x the price. Stuarts:$ 230 Other company $ 900. Work was done in a matter of hours and a job very well done. I’ll definitely be using Stuart’s for all my glazing and screen needs after this pleasant experience. Definitely the «A» team.

Stuart just left my house, he did a great job, and he knows the area! Professional, fast, friendly service. I had a double pain Low E window that some little brat shot a hole through. Stuart came out, gave me a great qoute, said he had to order the window, we scheduled the install for today. He was on time called ahead to make sure I was home. Window is in all clean no mess, gone as quick as he showed up and I’m on with me day. Thank you Stuart!

Unfortunately I did not have an opportunity to work with Stuart because he is not in our area but he generously spent 20 minutes on the phone helping me find someone near me to help with glass and screen repair. Only kind people with integrity take that time.

Today was the second time we’ve done business with Stuart’s Glass & Screen. Both times Stuart provided us EXCELLENT service regarding our window repairs. He clearly explained our options and even coached me to make some of the repairs myself! Great price and superb service!

It is really nice to work with people that REALLY know their business. Stuart is one of those. They really try to stick to Escondido, which I think is a very smart business plan, I have used Stuarts 3x and have been very impressed each and every time.

Price was right, service was top notch! Placed the order on a Monday, window replaced on Wednesday that same week! And most important, I wasn’t able to be there as I was out of town, Stuart himself did the installation and treated my wife like a gentleman. The woman who answered the phone and took the order was wonderful as well. I’d give them 7 stars if I could!

Amazing service and nice people! I called at 9:00 am this morning. I spoke to Stewart he is the owner. He sent Angle out by 2:00 and had my slider door replaced. Such nice people I just love doing business with company’s that are nice. I called around all morning and no one else could come out for at least 2 to 3 day due to they would have to order the glass. Stewart had it in stock. Plus the big Plus is that he was $ 100 CHEAPER!!!

Called to get a quote lady was nice at first till I told her what city I live in hmm it’s in north county!!! Not far from where your located!!! But that’s fine because you lost business!!! Hahahahahaa and an angel with glass wings got business and you didn’t! And a referral because word of mouth is HUGE!!! Maybe helpful hint be nicer and don’t be like oh here is a number of someone closer and maybe don’t advertise that you serve north county because really you don’t! And that’s false advertising! If I could give no stars I would! Unprofessional and lazy from what it seems!!!

Stuart and his staff are so friendly and helpful! Our glass sliding door shattered and we needed someone to fix it ASAP. Stuart came right away and fixed the glass, no problem. He was so kind and friendly. My husband and I had a nice time chatting with him while he worked. Companies like this are rare these days. I definitely recommend them for any glass repairs you may need.

My son decided that he wanted to see what the inside of a rock looked like, so naturally he threw it against the ground and it ricocheted and broke our rear glass door. My wife contacted the first place she could find online (Coughlin Windows & Doors) and they referred her to Stuart’s.
She had a pleasant experience with the woman on the phone, and someone was supposed to arrive at 5:30pm to assess the damage. Stuart showed up right when I got home from work around 4:15pm and got right to work. I told him that I could take care of the clean up, so he ran back to his shop to get the replacement glass while I did that. He got back within an hour and put the glass on almost as quickly as my son shattered it, and even knocked some money off of the bill for me cleaning up.
Stuart is super friendly and professional, and I would highly recommend him/​his company for any of your glass replacement/​repair needs.

Stuart’s Glass is TERRIFIC! I contacted a few other glass shops before talking with Stuart’s for a price on a simple 60×36 polished edge mirror for my remodeled bathroom. The other shops were almost twice the cost for the same mirror installation. In addition, the lead time from measurement to install was only one day — you can’t beat that. They are very knowledgeable and ask the right questions to make sure you are getting the product and service that is best for the application. I will definitely use them again for projects at my home and will recommend them to my friends and neighbors.

Stuart’s Glass did an amazing job and were very honest with pricing & the steps to the job. Stuart answered all my questions and even gave me excellent money savings tips on the phone. He not only beat out 3 other companies’ quotes and customer service to replace my glass sliding door, but he even recommended other competitors to do more price comparisons if I wanted. I found Stuart and Angel to be very genuine, which is rare to come across in when dealing with businesses. I strongly recommend this company.
