Pleats Dry Cleaning & Fine Tailoring

This is one of the greatest company’s ever, they actually pick your clothes from your house or business twice a week while dropping off the previous pick up. Awesome! They have actually made a special pick up and expedited the delivery for me when I was going out of town on a business trip. Great service!

Such a great Dry Cleaner and Tailor. Every time I go in there, I always get greeted with a smile and a hello!
Pleats are always consistent with their service and I can always expected amazing service and quality! I would recommend to use them if you are in need of an exceptional dry cleaner or tailor.

They do a great job. Most of the time they can have my clothes cleaned in 2 – 3 days. I have never been unhappy with the services that are provided and the staff is amazing. Great customer service.

So far so good. Owner Lou was professional, delivered the clothing on time and I never looked better. I will update in a few months, but it’s a great start.

I am writing another review after Paulette asked me to drop the issue of not having our clothes all week. We were never compensated and we never received a call from the owner after leaving 3 messages for them. Paulette can hide behind Unilocal and comment but couldnt call me. I called after she left the message and Lou called back and immediately blamed us for leaving a bad review and not letting them handle the situation. He could of called at the time of the incident and not let his driver Bob handle it since it wasnt Bob’s fault. He said he is small business and the review I left any good customer wouldnt leave. He asked why my husband didnt call so I put him on and he was very defensive as well as a jerk to him. Lou obviously doesnt know what good customer service is and lost a long time customer he inherited when he purchased Continental Cleaners of San Marcos.
Pleats removed the comment from my earlier post and asked us to not be a customer!
A simple phone call and delivery of clothes would of not escalated this issue!

What can I say, they do a good job.
So I’ve been going to the same shop for a few years for all my dry cleaning. The branding has changed and the people have also changed but the quality has stayed consistent throughout so there is nothing to complain on that side. They do deliver and pick up from you but I’ve never used that service.

I’ve been taking my husband’s work shirts and pants to Pleats for over a year now and have been meaning to write a review. Bottom line — they never disappoint. Clothes are always delivered crisp and on time as promised. I occasionally will have a dress or silk blouse cleaned; delicate items always come back good as new. I would definitely recommend Pleats if you’re looking for a dry cleaner that actually cares!

This place is awesome! Fair prices, great alterations, friendly staff and were quick on their services… won’t go anywhere else now!

I have used this dry cleaner for years and have watched as it has changed its name as well as owners. In its current incarnation I have used it perhaps a dozen times in the past year. The last two experiences were very disappointing. First, the shoulder pads in a jacket were totally ruined, twisted and I will need a professional to help me replace them. Second, was a silk top that I probably ruined myself with salad dressing spots in a couple of places but thought I’d give it to the «experts» to clean — well, they scrubbed and scrubbed (need I say more?) on this delicate grey silk top leaving larger marks than the salad dressing spots.
When I voiced my displeasure and asked to speak to the manager, I got attitude along with «call the number on the business card». I did, got an answering machine but a telephone call shortly thereafter. I was told to bring the items in to the store and they would be looked at to see if there was something that could be done. Well, I’m not too inclined to do that — more of an inconvenience and most likely nothing will come of it, so I am looking for another (good) dry cleaner, which I am beginning to realize is not attainable.
Might have to start taking my clothes to Margaret’s Cleaners in Del Mar or La Jolla. I understand they are the best in San Diego County. It may be worth it, because good clothes aren’t cheap and taking them to a just so or mediocre cleaners is like throwing money away.

This place is great. I brought my pants here after another dry cleaning place in town insisted on putting creases into my pants and then telling me they couldn’t remove them (who does that??). Pleats fixed everything. I met the owner today when I went to pick up my pants, and she went through my items individually to make sure I was happy with the work. I very much appreciate that little extra attention to detail and they friendly service. Recommended this place to my family, and we will all be using this place from now on.

Pleats reminds me of a corporate franchise with all the slick logos, branding, and website. Everything is modernized inside this tiny location. They have a slick computerized POS and an advanced shirt delivery systems. This is not that old school Asian dry cleaner that you’re probably used to. Interesting enough, this «franchise» only consists of two locations. A lot of money has gone into pleats… How is their service?
The morning lady is as perky as a cup of 7-​eleven coffee from next door. She was very friendly and accommodating. I needed a suit to be altered to a smaller size and she was able to measure me right there.
My shits and suit was cleaned and altered to my satisfaction. I guess the prices are higher but the service was complete and it’s conveniently located.

Terrible. We have used them for 6 – 9 months. 1 white mens shirt was lost, they tried making up for it by giving me someone else green shirt. Then a $ 50 credit. Ok, so things happen. So we kept going back. Ask repeatedly to have buttons fixed. Not fixed. Shirts come back with odd smell, and press marks.

I have been going to Pleats for a few years now and never had a problem. All of the employees and the owner are very friendly and always remember who you are. I had never had a problem with deadlines and if I needed something rushed, they always did their best to accommodate me. I had reviewed their San Marcos location which is where I started going. Now that they have a location in Escondido, it makes it even better for me since I live in Escondido. Great place!

LOVE, love Pleats. Easy & affordable dry cleaning and the only place I go to get tailoring done. Other cleaners can only do patch up jobs {poorly} but they do true tailoring!

We have been using Pleats for years. My wife had her wedding dress altered there as well, and it was fantastic. I use them for alterations and dry cleaning. I love the pick up and drop off service, but often go to the storefront anyways. 5 stars.

Wish I could give no stars. My review is not for the service but for the marketing ploy of someone stating they placed a bag on my front door, and then continuing to return to my home and demanding $ 10.00 for this bag I never saw. The angry man stated they were just starting their store and decided to leave bags at potential customers homes from Friday to Monday. Who does this? Who would leave their property on someones front door without the knowledge or approval of the home owner. This man has returned 6 times, the next time I am calling the police. I have reported the company and this man to my HOA.

We lived in Escondido and used Pleats for all of our dry cleaning services… they are good people who always do a great job. We moved to the Rancho Bernardo area and signed up for their dry cleaning pick up and delivery service about 6 months ago and we couldn’t be happier… it’s actually more convenient now than when we lived right next to them. One less thing to worry about. I would recommend their services to anyone looking for a more convenient way to handle their dry cleaning needs at a great price
