This place is not kid friendly at all. They wouldn’t make a plain hamburger for my child, and when I talked to the owner he refused as well. His take was that the cook designed the burgers on the menu, and it would be «corporate» to modify it for my kid, and would offend the chefs creation. Not sure exactly what that means. Plan 9 offers up a great selection of brewskies, so much so it can be hard to make up one’s mind! Our group tried Tricerahops by Ninkasi/8.0%, Liefmans Cuvee-Brut/6.0%, Societe The Apprentice/7.5% and finally the AleSmith San Diego Pale Ale .394/​6.0%.
After having a Society for the first time, I couldn’t get away without having another. Stellar stuff.
All of the above beer selections were priced at about $ 7 per pour. Bottled beers are offered as well but i didn’t look to see what the selection was.
Drinking partners for the evening had a «side order» of french fries and Falafel bites. According to them, the falafel was just ok, and the fries were, well french fries with a pleasant seasoning. I initially wanted to get a basket of french fires when i smelled them via a waitress passing our table to serve others. But when I looked at the menu the price made my head spin in the direction of «nope, not today.» Can’t find myself paying $ 14 for a basket of fries.
Anyhow, service was very prompt, everyone sporting smiles and supporting other staff with the tables. The place was at 90% capacity on this friday night. As a result, the ambiance was a little on the loud side which one will notice when leaving the place. I find this to be a good thing in an establishment such as this.
We will definitely return to enjoy mo beer and take a closer look at the menu. My only critique would be the food prices. If they could be lowered just a bit, it might knock someone like me who is sitting on the fence to the greener side of chowing down. Specials are offered now and then according to their FB site so maybe we will shoot for one of those nights.

Had a girls night here, we ordered a few appetizers and drinks. Place was super noisy, so loud that it was hard to hear the person next to me talk, let alone anyone down the table. There was a private party going on so the servers and cook staff were pulling double duty and some of our plates took a minute to get to the table. Our waitress was sweet though and the food was pretty good.
We had both the chicken and duck wings, stuffed jalapeños, (careful, these are SPICY) chips and guac and falafel. The falafel lacked seasoning but everything else was great. A fun way to spend our r Saturday evening.

Nice place to go and have a beer.
I would recommend you come here when in Rome.
I believe this place will be around for some time to come.

Came for lunch on a weekday and had the daily lunch special for $ 7.50 which consisted of a ½ BLT and a House Salad (there are other selections you can substitute, yet I’m only sharing with you my experience0.
The BLT was excellent. Hearty yes. Savory yes. Big yes — even for a «half» sandwhich portion. Think of a pork butt style piece of pork shaved and carefully portioned for a sandwhich on a multi grain old style chewy yet crunch/​crispy toasted old style bread. Very tasty and hearty. Almost too much for my work day.
Sample sized tasters of beers can start at $ 2 per 4 ounce tasting.
Cool beertender/​bartender named Curtis was professional and friendly. Knowledegeable and passionate about his craft.
