Julie Early did my hair for many years– she also does my brothers’ hair and my mom’s hair– and in the interest of full disclosure, she is a family friend. Her studio isn’t anything fancy but it gets the job done, and you certainly can’t beat her prices anywhere with the quality of work she does.
She’s always done a good job with color– my partial weaves came out looking great, and my mom’s always look good too– and she is very attentive to detail and extremely careful when cutting hair. She doesn’t offer every service– for instance, I know she does not do updos or frosted tips– so you may want to give her a call to discuss your specific needs.
I docked her a star because Julie’s availability is kind of limited– it’s better to book far in advance. I ended up leaving Julie’s shop because I prefer to make last-​minute appointments rather than book ahead– I don’t know until the week of when I want my hair done.
