Mossy Nissan Escondido

First off, I do not work for Mossy nor do I have family or friends working for Mossy.
My wife and I have purchased Nissan cars through Mossy for the past 25+ years and other than our dearly departed trade-​in 2001 Maxima which we had from birth (never a major repair), we have had 5 other Nissan’s that were used as trade-​ins with each new purchase.
We have NEVER be overrun by hungry salespeople, we have NEVER been pushed into a deal that we didn’t want and we NEVER were made to feel uncomfortable with decisions. We have always been treated as a customer and not a sale. We have always been treated as if we were customers purchasing a Rolls Royce.
I have purchased cars previously though other dealers and I meet a lot of people in my line of work and I have dealt with and heard the nightmares dealing with the «Dealer & Car Salespeople». Not the case with Mossy Escondido!
Look, they are smart, trained, knowledgeable and professional. They want you to be happy so you come back when you need another car and that is good business because they will take care of you.
This weekend I took my 2013 Sentra in for service, I typically put on 20k miles a year and it was about time for breaks, tires and a little TLC. While waiting the manager asked if I would be interested in lowering my monthly payment and get 0.9% interest rate. Now I wasn’t in the market for another car especially since I was so upside down with what I owed hitting the lottery wouldn’t have helped much, not to mention my interest rate was 6.19%.
Well I did let the good deals get the best of me and was helped by a young man who I thought was in his early 20’s (I have 2 kids, well adults, 26 and 30), turned out this young man, Cody McLeod was not only knowledgeable, he was polite, courteous, he listened to what I was looking to do, he was truly sympathetic with my financial situation and he is only 19! So, age is just a number and I will be going back to Cody for my next deal and my next deal until I am no longer allowed to drive! If you are looking for your next car, GO ASK FOR CODY McLEOD!
But wait, I was there for service… OK so we have all heard the stories about going to the dealer for repairs or maintenance, we heard it’s best to stay away and go to a local repair place. WRONG!!! When dealing with Mossy Escondido, you get Service Representatives like Ron Garner. Ron is awesome! Look, I am not rolling in money and like everyone else things are tight. So the fear of getting just an oil change will lead into other repairs, not the case with Ron and Mossy Escondido. You get only what your car needs and the pricing is very reasonable and competitive. How many times do we look for $ 9.95 oil changes that really you don’t know what you’re getting. I got a maintenance booklet in the mail from Mossy for Oil Changes, Tire rotation, free wipers, repair discounts, I never paid anything that was ridiculous. I took my car in for an oil change and they were slammed, busy, full capacity with oil changes etc, but not only do they get you done quickly, they do it right! And even though they were busy they still took the time to look at something I was questioning.
I can obviously go on and since it’s Father’s Day I need to take a nap, lol, so if you are reading this than you are interested in going to Mossy for your next car or truck. Well Cody will take care of your needs with your next vehicle and Ron will take care of the maintenance. Your car will always be new!

Bought a used car for my daughter today and Bijan was a fantastic salesman. No pressure, patient with my daughter trying out the car and helped to make the deal one that I could feel good about.

My girlfriend and I came in at the tail end of memorial day weekend with intent to buy a relatively cheap travel car, and, after spending the better part of an afternoon there, I traded in my 2001 Civic for a brand new Sentra. Not only did the sales team provide an amazing atmosphere of pressure free friendliness and patience despite the huge amount of time we spent there, they offered an amazing deal on the car, giving me a generous value for my trade in and a great discount on an comprehensive warranty. The sales team was excellent. We mainly spoke with Will and Chris, who were both extremely helpful, and Eric, the finance manager, who was more than happy to fully explain any and all parts of the agreement I was unclear about.

I have just purchased a Nissan Rogue from Nissan Escondido. My experience was incredibly good… I have been to 7 other dealerships and this was by far the best experience. Roland Rimando was the sales consultant that helped me and he was knowledgable, patient and a pleasure to deal with!

I recently bought a used 2015 Nissan Frontier and had a good experience working with Ray McHone. He knew the Nissan product well. He made good recommendations as we discussed buying a new or a newer used truck. I had seen the truck that interested me on line. Truth be told, I liked the color of this blue truck and the fact that it had only 4,000 mile on it. I did my homework and had a figure in mind that I would be comfortable paying in addition to trading in my 2006 Nissan Frontier Nismo. I had taken my 2006 to CarMax and had their written appraisal with me. Ray and I worked through a fairly pleasant used car negotiation. Let’s be honest, if you want to get a good deal (or at least feel you got a good deal) you have to put in some time and effort and understand this will take some time. Free up some hours and understand that the salesman does have to answer to the manager. The manager of the day for my transaction was Tom and we went four or five rounds of me wanting what CarMax had offered for my truck from Mossy and Tom doing his job suggesting I take my truck there, get the money form them, come back and buy the truck I wanted. I ultimately stuck to the price I wanted for my truck and Ray brought me a couple of prices for the 2015 truck from Tom which I rejected 4or 5 times.
LET’S NOT FORGET RAY. Ray was caught in the middle and remained friendly, making positive suggestions, being the messenger between Tom and I and getting no for an answer over and over again. The deal stalled and I ended up leaving the dealership to visit my bank to check my finances. I forgot to bring my checkbook to the dealership-​Jeez! Money in order and a little over an hour gone by, I decided to call Ray and make another offer. The offer was for the amount of money I wanted for my trade in and a few bucks more than what I’d last offered when I left the dealership. Ray spoke to the manager and the deal was on. I went back to Mossy with funds. The truck was waiting for me, clean and ready to go. Ray ran me through more of the features of the truck and made sure to answer all of my questions.
Bottom Line —
Ray hung in there and worked well with me. He remained friendly and showed great patience when the deal looked like it wasn’t going to happen. I would be glad to work with Ray again! I also felt that I got a good deal for my trade in and the price I paid for the truck I bought. I will do business with Mossy Escondido again!

This review is specifically for Ramez. He is a good guy who will treat you right. I bought a used car from him and love it. My mom and dad bought a new one from him and like theirs too. Go see him for your next car. Good cars. Good prices. Good service.

After the longest week of my life, first purchasing through Pacific Nissan (WARNING; first car buyers beware!!!). Having to cancel the deal due to false representation of the contract we signed & agreed to, empty promises, & a sleazy finance department. I was desperate to find a car, in my price range, & fast.
Mossy Nissan not only found me the same exact car I fell in love with (Nissan Rouge) but it was more affordable, 2 years younger, half the miles of the previous car that I had just purchased. & in the color I ACTUALLY wanted! My Mossy Nissan team, Will, Jorge, Eric, & the hilarious finance team… We’re attentive, understanding, generous, friendly, & determined to find me the perfect car!

I had been vigorously car shopping for a week or so and had narrowed my potential purchase down to two vehicles: a Nissan Rogue or Hyundai Tucson. Mossy Nissan had a bottom of the line 2016 Rogue for 20.2k listed online so I decided to made a visit. I went there to purchase a vehicle. They claimed it was listed with incorrect options but that they would honor the price. But they came in 2−3k less than other dealerships on my trade in claiming that they couldn’t offer me more because they’d be too in the hole after giving me a good deal (basically, I needed to make up the difference for their incorrect listing). Understandable enough, I’m reasonable. However, what I didn’t understand was why they tried to give me a loan at 5.99% after everyone else offered me 1.9−2.9 (750 – 800 credit). All of this wasn’t a huge deal, after all, I was at a dealership. I was ready to walk away because clearly the numbers weren’t going to be where I wanted them. Then the sales manager asked me to go over to him; he didn’t want to come sit by me to talk, instead he wanted me to go to him and stand at the counter while he aggressively insulted me. I explained to him that it looked like the numbers weren’t going to add up in my favor and explained that I came to Mossy because Mossy VW took such amazing care of me when I purchased my GTI after returning a leased car with dents, dinged rims, and 60k miles more than I was allowed. The sales manager began to say things like «that’s why you owe so much on your car, they added those charges to your current loan», «people aren’t stupid, they know what a car is worth» (when I mentioned I might consider selling my meticulously clean and well maintained car as a private party before purchasing since their offer was so low), «do you want to buy a car or not?»… Etc … All in a very nasty tone. I was appalled by his arrogance and condescending comments. I walked out. There is no way I would ever do business with someone who treats customers so poorly. It is hard to put into words how rudely I was treated. I would like to add that the floor sales man was VERY kind, helpful, and possibly the most polite salesman we encountered all week; I wish I could have given him a sale, I really do.
Although the sales manager at Mossy Nissan implied that Mossy VW didn’t do me any favors, this is far from accurate… Mossy VW took a lease return that I should have owed 8k+ on, sold me a $ 32k car, I extended the comprehensive warranty to 100k, added GAP coverage, put only $ 500 down, and my total loan with taxes and fees and everything was only for 32k… They worked a miracle for me. I did a 72 mo loan and only 2 yrs has elapsed which is why I’m in the hole (my fault not the dealers fault). I’m sad that my experience with Mossy Nissan ruined the Mossy name for me, especially after my family purchased their last three vehicles through their dealerships.

Where do I begin? I’ll walk through the entire experience.
A few months ago, I met Chris Chrostowski (Sales Consultant) when I was helping my friend purchase pre-​owned vehicle from their lot. After a great experience, I told Chris that when I was ready to buy a car, I’d return to his dealership and work with by name. Before making my way to dealership, I decided to appraise my vehicle via the Nissan website (fairly straightforward, very easy to use). Once done with that, I received an email from Zack Bilbrey, (Internet Sales Manager) informing me of some purchasing options, and assuring me that I would be able to work with Chris. Once I get to the dealership, both Chris and Zack greet me and reassure that a favorable deal will get done. Midway through the process, I am introduced to Nick Dubiel (General Sales Manager). In accordance with the others, Nick made sure that I was able to get a good deal with low interest and reasonable payments. He was friendly, attentive, and was committed to go out of his way to accommodate. Lastly there was Eric ZuWalick, the Finance Manager. Probably the most reassuring things about Eric was the fact that he was clear in his communication with me and he made me completely aware of all extended protection options that were available to me. He took his time explaining everything to me and answered all of my questions.
I understand this a bit of a lengthy read, but these 4 completely deserve it. I expect this kind of service from an individual when I make significant purchases like this, but to see everyone try so hard for me and for them all to be on the same page like that is truly unique. I felt like I’ve known them all for years. With that said, whatever you guys are doing over at Mossy Nissan Escondido, keep it up! I’ve been apart of a few car purchases, but none of them stack to up to this experience.

As always great customer service. Just picked up our third vehicle. Went to other dealerships only to be disappointed. Everyone else makes it about themselves not the customer.
My husband and I worked with Dallas. He was very knowledgeable about every make and model. Answered every question we had. He matched us up with the perfect truck. Also worked with our budget. I would definitely refer my friends and family to him.
Overall this dealership has made customer satisfaction their top priority.

I love going to this location for service. It is great to come here in the afternoon because you’re in and out of there within an hour if you’re getting an oil change or tire rotation. So it is awesome, just to spend an hour of your day. Love the fast service. Also, making an appointment helps a lot.
While you’re waiting, there is a lot of staff walking around and they are so nice and friendly. A big shoutout to Jesus. He took really good care of me of providing me with fast and friendly service.

I was beyond impressed with my experience at Nissan Escondido, I always get nervous purchasing cars because it’s really hard to find a trusting sales rep who you don’t think is going to scam you out of your money. Luckily I can fully say that my experience here was A+ service!
If you’re in need of finding a car I highly recommend you seek out Edgar! He is by far the friendliest, honest sales person I’ve encountered. I told him I wanted a «fun» car and the first car he showed me was absolutely perfect. I initially wanted a white car but he showed me a silver Sentra and it ended up looking even cuter than the white model so I ultimately ended up with a silver car. He also recommended services and features based on my needs, and not based on what he needed to meet his sales goals. I felt very confident that he had my best interests in mind, which was very refreshing.
While everyone else was very professional and polite at Mossy, Edgar really stood out as a rising star. And I highly recommend you seek him in you’re in the market for a new car.

Couple years ago I bought and qualify for two Cars. is really super happy about that however there’s a few things that are upsetting about this purchase experience. #1 only to eventually that my car does not have cruise control come on that’s a big deal tell your clients who travel a lot which I did tell you that there’s no cruise control on this vehicle that I was buying I got a ticket within the first year — apparently cruise control is an optional feature. #2 both of my cars do not have an emergency tire because that’s optional. I love Nissans but come on no cruise control or emergency spare tire.

I came here yesterday, 1÷25÷16, to get my 2015 Nissan Pathfinder serviced for the 10k miles service. I booked an appointment through their website for the 10k service. When I got there, I was greeted by Ron, who set me up with everything and told me what services they would be doing. He informed me that the service I signed up online was for conventional oil but I wanted synthetic to match what was already in the car when I bought it. He told me the prices for both. I ended up deciding to get the synthetic oil. He told me that would be more than what I was expecting to pay, but he was really nice and friendly. I asked him if there were any coupons for oil changes. He said there weren’t but offered to give me $ 20 off of the service I chose to go with.
I chose to wait for my car to be serviced. They have a waiting area inside that has a TV and some magazines to read. They have free wifi as well so that was nice. The entire service only took about 45 minutes to complete. I got there around 3:45PM and left around 4:30PM.
I was satisfied with the overall service. They did a courtesy car wash so that was good since my car needed a wash. Ron did an excellent job and the next time I need to service my car, I will schedule it with him.

I went tho this place to trade in my 2013 Nissan Leaf with 2015 Altima. Met the sales associate name Brian Hernandez. Without any doubt, he is one of the most pleasant person I’ve ever met. He performed outstanding customer service, very helpful for my needed. I’m very picky person, and he is the best sales person I’m dealing with. (I changed car every 2 – 3 years thus I’m dealing with several sales people). There’s a lots of struggling circumstances to get the car I want, but he handled very well.
Although I got the car, we still keep in touch as friend. That’s how good he is. He keeps monitoring about the car, and above all, he cares about my family too. Brian Hernandez is the best sales associate I’ve known.

Per the sale contract, the first oil change is complimentary regardless of make, yet an employee didn’t think so and let me have it behind the glass thinking I couldn’t hear him. Also the hood of the vehicle was slammed shut without taking the stand down, destroying the stand and damaging the mounts. In addition the USB port doesn’t work. When I brought this up, rep said they don’t mess with electrical on non-​nissan cars and that he couldn’t fix it, look at it, or offer any kind of advice for that matter.
I have yet to hear back from customer service despite multiple attempts at contacting them; it has been two months. You may or may not have a good experience, I certainly didn’t.
