I have been using this vet since 2006. The staff has always been wonderful and compassionate. Dr Kit is wonderful with my 3 dogs. I recently had to put down my love of my life yorkie of 14 years. She was patient and understanding and gave him the best care until the end. I recommend this location to anyone who want the love and care that their pets truly deserve.

Dr. Meuller is rude and she talks so fast that you can hardly keep up with her. She acted irritated when I stated my pet had the same problem before and what the cause was. When I tried to ask a question about the many tests she wanted to run she rudely told me the nurse would be back in with various treatment options and I could chose whatever I wanted and walked out of the room. She wanted to test for everything under the sun at an outrageous cost instead of trying to eliminate the most likely cause of the problem first. I felt it was all about how much money she could get instead of providing quality pet care. Never again.

Three words, Overpriced, long wait; this place will up charge you for every single thing. The doctor was rude and belittled me because I am a younger customer. My family has been coming here for 20 years and it has really gone down hill.
If you have money and time and patients to spare this is the place for you, otherwise I’d pass.

I have nothing but great things to say about this animal hospital. They spayed my cat Lynx, gave her an exam, medication, removed stitches and checked her over for FREE through their Helping Paws Military Program. The staff were all friendly and helped assure me that my fur baby Lynx would be taken care of and she was. I can’t say thank you enough!

I just want to let everyone know this Hospital has a great friendly staff and the facility is clean. They greeted me at the door, and my Big Boy Goliath who is often skittish of people took right to the staff. The service was incredible and would highly recommend this Hospital to anyone looking for a Hospital with great staff and who loves all animals.

Mohnacky Animal Hospital is a great place! They take care of our pets and us. I never have concerns when I need something done, they are the first place I call! Not only do they do an outstanding job with their in house care, they also call and check up on the pet afterwards. Definitely worth the trip to Escondido for this kind of care and service!

I took my puppy here for her first vet check and boarding! I must say, everyone here is so nice and very knowledgeable about animals! We met Dr. Kit and she was possibly the friendliest person I had ever met! I know that my puppy loves EVERYONE… but I had never seen her so calm with a person before! I need to learn her secret because I would love to have have days my hyper, ADD pup is calm! But seriously, the exam went by quickly, although the wait was a bit long. But I guess whether you’re going in for a human check up or an animal check up, it’s the same thing.
I also tried out their boarding and they definitely took great care of my puppy. I got a text and a picture of my puppy and some feedback on her day. I also dropped off some toys for her to help her remember us, and the staff actually cleaned the toys afterwards! That was so sweet of them! I will definitely do this again. Oh, and did I mention that their boarding is REALLY affordable!
Great care, great service, and friendly personnel make this a place I want to keep bringing my puppy to! Thank you Mohnacky Animal Hospital! My puppy will be back to get spayed soon! Which I am confident she will be cared for in the best way possible!

I am so sorry to respond negatively, but my baby Wendy was with Dr. Anderson for 7 years, she has many medical issues, I found out Dr. Anderson left, no one in the office would tell me where he was, I googled him :-) then I asked to have her records transferred, staff from Mohnacky called me at home and I gave them the ok to transfer, 4 days later I need to refill seizure meds, and Mohnacky wants signatures from me and Dr. Anderson to release records,
I am very sad, I have been going to Mohnacky 13 years.

My Diesel (ACD). Is 7 months old and he’s been coming here since 6 weeks old. The vets/​nurses/​staff are fantastic! Diesel loves coming here and adores everyone. Everyone is always so nice and willing to help out your needs no matter what. They truly care about your pet! Diesel just got neutered and I wasn’t worried at all because I knew he was in great hands! I 100% recommend this place!

I have been taking my dog to Mohnacky since I first adopted her four years ago. Recently I was told she needed surgery on both knees. I didn’t have the money to pay for the surgeries so I asked the public to help. San Diego help in more ways then I could ever dream of and my dog (Amber) had her first knee surgery yesterday and it went great! Mohnacky Animal hospital also helped with the cost and the surgeon donated his time and I couldn’t be happier. I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Mohnacky himself which was a pleasure, he is a very nice caring man who truly cares for the well being of animals. I have included a link about my sweet dog Amber! My lab Laura Lou had surgery here for her knee. They actually checked her in on the day of her consultation and did the surgery the very next morning. The staff is so friendly! They also have a Helping Paws program that assists military families. We were lucky enough to get accepted into the program. Thank you so much!

I took my two terrier mixes there for a San Diego County Dept. of Animal Services «One Stop Clinic», rabies shots for $ 6 per dog and paperwork to apply/​renew the licenses. I was a new client and most likely not a returning one since I live in Warner Springs and their clinic is too far (although the closest for this service grrrr). Anyway… for the $ 6 per dog rabies shot I also also got courtesy exams for my dogs… by Dr. Mueller… very nice and honest (about one dog being too heavy…) If I lived closer (it was 120+ miles round trip…) I would make this vet my regular vet. Their waiting area was a bit tight for my terrierist pack but they moved us into an exam room to keep the peace. The whole staff was very nice, professional and awesome. I rarely review businesses… but I felt the need to here.

I have been bringing my dogs here for years they do such a great job very personable and great with animals give lots of options for treatment.

I was looking for a new place to take my cat for her checkups and what really caught my eye about Mohnacky was that they had a feline friendly practice.
They had a separate entrance and examination area just for cats, which I think is amazing.
Dr. Behm and all the Vet Techs are meticulous and you can tell they all really care about the wellfare of their furry patients.
They are knowledgeable open, friendly and very easy to work with. The communication is wonderful and they keep you updated every step of the way.

In January after a horrible experience with an emergency vet right down the street, I brought my 5 year old boxer Darla to Mohnacky, her normal care providers, for the severe bite wounds she had from an attack a few nights before.
If you’ve endured bite wounds before, you know that it can be a lengthy and tedious healing process. After her first surgery with her stitching and drainage, it failed and her wounds re-​opened creating an even bigger wound than before. I didnt have the funds to pay for another surgery. Luckily, the vets here told me about a grass roots way to help heal the skin and allow it to connect back together. The wounds were in such a horrible and vulnerable spot, I was incredibly concerned. To avoid spending a few more thousands of dollars, they suggested an at home treatment plan called sugar packing which used sugar, benadine and diluted hyrdrogen peroxide to help aid in Darla’s recovery.
What an amazing plan they gave me because 2 months later, Darla is back to her silly running self again! If you’re enduring any kind of sickness or injury with your pet, BRING THEM HERE! Their warmth, honesty, genuine care for animals shines and with their trusted guidance your animal will heal in no time! Thank you so much Mohnacky!

I have to say everyone here is so nice. The last few times I have worked with Joshua. He is so pleasant to talk to on the phone. When you are dealing with your dog (s) it can be stressful and expensive. I love coming in to this vet and have been coming for over seven years. They are great people who do truly care about your pet. Dr. Behm is wonderful and takes the time to answer any and all questions.

Have been taking car of our dogs for 13 years. First our Cali and now our Jet. Great group of people. Very caring. Easy to get appointments. Prices are reasonable Easy off highway access Highly recommend

Stop. Stop right here. Do not even think about bringing your fur child here.
First visit, they recommended that I make an appointment as it was a one doctor day. Cool, I get that. But telling me that it’s just going to be «a few more minutes» after getting checked into a room should never translate into 45. Just to see the doctor for a little more than 5 minutes at which point we had to wait another hour or so (again, «a few more minutes» being re-​iterated at 15 minute intervals) causing me to miss my final exam. I had repeatedly asked them for an educated time frame considering that I had class in Oceanside and very sweetly was told each time «not much longer». Thanks. Turns out my puppy had parasites in her lower intestines which they went ahead and prescribed medication for. Medication worked great, she was never in pain but I definitely noticed a difference which is great. What’s not so great was the very vague instructions and complete neglect to mention the potential side effects of the damn medication. In return for asking questions about the medication, I was given consistent interruption with quick explanations that had nothing to do with the question I would like to have asked. Before we left, Joshie told us that he wanted us to follow back up in a week. Ok, fine.
2^nd visit. God to honest awful. Wait time was significantly better. But as a result, our experience would have been better in a Vietnam brothel. They spent the better part of our visit petting and cooing at my puppy before taking her away for vaccinations I was neither informed of nor consented to. When I asked what they were charging me for they said it was for vaccinations. This is where the issue is. My puppy has already been given the vaccinations. During this visit, I provided them with additional paperwork with her vaccination records specifically showing she had already been vaccinated. Their justification? Mohnacky hospital didn’t have those records in their system and Joshie wasn’t there to physically administer them so they’re not real… you’re joking, right? Questioning him made it worse because I then received the most insincere and generic apology I have ever had the displeasure of hearing in my life that I obviously didn’t understand what was going on. He then tried to backtrack and say he understood my situation of why I was confused (EXCUSE ME, I’M NOT CONFUSED I JUST WANT TO UNDERSTAND WHAT GIVES YOU THE RIGHT TO STICK A NEEDLE IN MY PUPPY THAT YOU HAD NOT PREVIOUSLY INFORMED ME YOU WERE GOING TO DO FOR VACCINATIONS SHE HAS ALREADY RECEIVED) saying the he remembered my puppy’s upper respiratory infection… She came in for parasites in her lower intestines but nice try asshole, especially since you’re the one that helped us out the first time. When I corrected him, he again reverted back to how her vaccination papers weren’t valid while incessantly interrupting me when I continued to try to get my initial questions through. Keep in mind, this is 2 visits where I have had none of my questions answered but my money was still taken. Their prices are ridiculous by the way and I don’t appreciate paying for a service I was no where near requesting or priorly informed of.
Don’t waste your time here. This was an impressively horrible experience. Sticking with Dr. Young at Discovery Valleys Clinic in San Marcos. He has assisted my other dog there multiple times and he has always taken the time and patience needed to fully attend to us.

I received a call after my appointment (on Saturday) and an office assistant offered to make it up to me. The Director at Mohnacky reached out to me today (Monday) to make the same offer of my service being free.
She sincerely apologized and she said I would be all taken care of it I schedule with them. I have scheduled for my first kitten’s wellness exam for Saturday afternoon and I hope for a much better experience! I am really surprised they made two phone calls to really reach out and make everything better. The Director, Jo, explained it is not their practice to have anyone wait longer than 15 minutes and that she was horrified when she heard about the experience that had happened.
So far, that has really turned things around and I hope for a better experience this weekend.

I’ve been to this vet off and on over the last three years. I don’t like how quick they are to get you off the phone and will never talk about prices of service. I liked the Dr. I saw, can’t remember his name. He didn’t pressure me into doing the services he recommended. I didn’t think it was necessary to do surgery on my new puppy because it had a problem with her eye duct producing more tears then necessary. A little wet eyes doesn’t bother me. On other visits they were unable to diagnose the problem. My dog was having random seizures. They gave a quote for a teeth cleaning which was excessive. $ 500 to clean and pull 2 baby teeth, which fell out a couple months later.
I liked the staff and the Dr.‘s. He would show me on the iPad different things relating to my dogs health and I didn’t feel rushed.
