Anyone can put a 4.5 Stars on their website, obviously it wasn’t customers at this place in my opinion. I had my truck in over a 7 day period off and on including two stays overnight trying to have the engine tuned and an oil change. The engine runs worst now than when I took it in! Also don’t waist your time trying to setup an appointment, it took 8 hours before they even looked at it. I finally gave up and took it to a Nilsson service dealer to get it fixed. All I ended up with at this place was a $ 450.00 oil change.

Oil change… they always treat me right. They’ve done my breaks and fixed something on my rear tire. Happy with every time come. Make an appointment cuz that helps if there’s a long wait. Thanks guys.

Mechanic Mike did my front brake job on my 2011 Honda Accord in September. The front brake pads were replaced for a very competitive price. I went to another garage for the rear brakes and they told me my front rotors were not turned properly and it would affect the system. Two months later I had the second mechanic fix the problem and my brakes no longer groan or chatter.

Got an Alignment and fixed an exhaust leak. Reasonable pricing. Fast and reliable. Will come back for sure. Thanks guys!!!

Mike, Awesome job! Thank you for your professional, friendly, quick, and honest service at a reasonable price. Our Honda Pilot needed the timing belt, water pump, steering pump & reservoir replaced and no one else could complete the job within the time frame in which we needed the work completed; but you came through for us. You kept your word regarding price and when the vehicle would be repaired. You even arranged to have me picked up from home and brought me to the shop to get my SUV. I wish we had known about you sooner. We’re bringing all of our vehicles to you from now on!

Just moved to the local Escondido area and was fortunate enough to find Mechanic Mike’s. Let me just say the service was outstanding, the fees extremely reasonable and the quality of work, top notch. I usually do not leave reviews on businesses, however, this shop is a ‘hidden gem’ in San Diego and thus far I have had Mike work on my shocks, tire alignment, mount and balance new tires, oil change, etc. I am happy to write this review, because the quality and care shown to me and my vehicle is unmatched. I highly recommend this business.

I run a business involving driving around 100 miles daily. These guys always get me in and out when it comes to oil changes and other maintenance needs. Had my private vehicle here also for serious brake issues and I’m glad how my wallet was treated. Thanks gentlemen.

On Friday, February 27 I took my 2002 Toyota Corolla to Mechanic Mike’s It was running fine, but the check engine light had come on so something needed to be addressed. The diagnosis was the O2 sensor and around noon I gave the go ahead to replace it. It was expected that my car would be ready by the close of the day, however it wasn’t done until about 3:00 pm on Saturday, February 28. (2 full days in the shop) – cost $ 360
I returned my car (per the warranty) on Monday evening March 9 because I was experiencing severe power loss on acceleration from a stop, and popping noises from the engine. On Wednesday the diagnosis was damaged fuel injectors that needed to be replaced. Relying on the shop’s expertise, I gave the okay to replace them. I picked up my car on Thursday morning, March 12 (2 full days in the shop) Cost $ 820
On Tuesday, March 24 I again began experiencing power loss and popping sounds upon acceleration. I returned the car a third time on Wednesday, March 25. I checked on the status of the car on Thursday, March 26 and again Friday morning March 27. At that time Mechanic Mike’s still did not have an idea of what might be wrong. At the close of the day, the problem still had not been determined. I picked up my car. (3 full days in the shop)
On Saturday, March 28 I took the car to Toyota Escondido. It was determined that the O2 sensor installed by Mechanic Mike’s was defective and needed to be replaced. I had that done and have had no problems with my car since. The technician also said that was highly unlikely that there had been a problem with the injectors.
The facts are that I took my car to Mechanic Mike’s and it was running fine, but that after 3 visits, 7 days in the shop and approximately $ 1200 later I had a car that was unsafe and unfit to drive. It cost me an additional $ 430 to get it back on the road.
I won’t be going back.
