Great NY style pizza! After moving to Escondido I was bummed being so far from Brooklyn Boyz pizza in Oceanside, and Il Forno made a new place in my pizza lovin heart. The Soho pizza is fantastic and their classic cheese and pepperoni is great too. They have a decent selection of beer and wine.

I had heard great things about this pizza place and was eager to try on my upcoming lunch break. I Came for lunch but the place was Closed at 2pm until 3:30pm on a Friday afternoon… I’ll be back to update my review!

So I work at the hospital and when I went in I ordered the special 2 slices and a soda for like 7 bucks. So they lady in front of my ordered one of the last two pieces of the pizza I wanted. So instead of making a new pizza right away, they gave me the last piece that had been sitting even though I asked them if I could just have 2 pieces from a fresh pie. Also ordered a house salad, no onions (allergy) and the guy that took my order put onions on it. I literally touched it with my fingers, to verify it was onions, and he took the salad back and just took the onions off that i JUST touched and put them back in the little bin with all the other onions that would be put on a salad later. Also, one tomato, one peppercini, and no croutons which it’s supposed to come with. I asked if they could please add some croutons, and the guy (new guy that told me he just started like a hour previous) put his bare, unwashed hand (cuz he just delivered some food to patrons) and in the container with the croutons and grabbed a handful and put them on my salad. I just starred at him. I can’t believe they wouldn’t 1. give me two fresh slices from a new pie they ended up making because I had to wait for my second slice from that pie and 2. they unsanitary with my salad stuff, 3. and had no regard for my onion allergy. Like he should have made me a new salad, added more than one stupid tomato, used tongs or gloves when dressing the salad, Oh how about actually giving me a glass for my soda. This was all ridiculous and could have been easily corrected. One good point, the fresh pizza slice was actually pretty good, but overall experienced sucked.

Our waitor was very friendly but the pizza was okay. We ordered an antipasto salad which cost $ 16 and it was basically a big bowl of lettuce with some salami. I am from the East Coast and was shocked at how much they charged for very little variety, it also had pickled cauliflower inside of it (random!). This place had potential to be good but the owner is stand-​offish and it is confusing because they have a quick sit down in the front and then a random huge room in the back which makes you feel like you are in a dungeon. If I were the owner I would run things very differently because it is a great location but it needs better food, better environment, and nicer staff. The only thing good about this place is that they were nice to my kids and gave them garlic bread and olives while they waited.

The pizza is pretty good but the antipasto salad is a waste of money. $ 16 for some lettuce and a few pieces of deli meat with hardly any dressing on top. Only good for pizza and beer.

Terrible customer service, owner I presume got in face when I requested parmesan cheese, Pizza flat tasting, not even hot, antipasto awful, cheapest ingredients, too much vinegar. What a mess this place is. Not even a hello when we entered, or a thank you when we left. I called back to complain to no avail. Don’t waste your money on this dump! I didn’t complain in person as he was confrontational over the cheese issue, no class, no insight on dealing with the public. Beside my New Jersey was getting worked up, no need for fisticuffs over a rotten pizza. Stay away from this joint!

We went and had the Margherita basil pizza and added ricotta cheese… BOMB PIZZA! We also had the Caprese salad and that too was very good. I gave it four stars due to the price of the beer… we had two medium beers and they were $ 11 each.$ 22 for TWO BEERS! That was just plain wrong. I will go back because the food was excellent but I won’t drink any beer for sure… the beer price sort of makes it a to go only spot for me since I want beer or wine with my italian food. I can buy a 12 pack cheaper than two beers here. Hopefully they rethink their pricing on beverages. So go here and try the good it’s outstanding… but no beer! Unless you have $$ to burn. All in all it’s great for food!

Best chicken parm sandwhich ever and my fiancé said his pizza was great! Super nice spot and they keep it so clean! Staff was fast and friendly :) we’ll be back!

Best pizza in Esco!!! If you like the New York pizza style, that is… which is our favorite!

I’ve ordered pizza here a few times I’d say it’s decent. it’s close to my house and usually pretty fast so I decided to try it again, I called and asked if they had a bbq chicken pizza as I have seen some great looking ones in there photos on Unilocal he said yes although when I got home I had paid 14 $ for small imitation bbq chicken not like the photos at all so I was pretty disappointed, and the customer service is extremely lacking not sure I’ll be back.

We went in but the owner was so rude that we walked out. It’s as though he doesn’t want business. Weird for a restaurant owner.

Wanted to love this place but it was awful. Came here because of the 4 stars but will never be back. Salad tasted sour/​like poison (think it was the type of lettuce), cups had water in them and smelled moldy so we had to get new ones, plastic utensils were in a dirty container so I had to wipe them all off AND then to top it all off both of our calzones were undercooked (cheese wasn’t melted and ricotta was actually cold)!
Staff was nice and owner brought my daughter a slice of pizza while she waited even longer to have her calzone heated more. Then he brought her a cannoli, which was nothing to write home about, but nonetheless a nice gesture.
Hope this was an off day for them but we won’t be back to find out.

Delicious pizza! Hubby and I got half white (soho) pizza and half red sauce with meatball. We both enjoys our halves. The white Soho pizza was DELICIOUS and the ricotta cheese was so yummy. We also got an order of the garlic knots. They were good– not amazing. But we were there for the pizza anyway :)

Awesome Italian place super close to work, right at the end of Grand, great food and parking… There is even a patio in the and an event room. I got a meatball sandwich today, the owner is really attentive and helpful. Great specials too!

Hand down my favorite pizza in Escondido and I know my pizza! Congrats to the team you do an amazing job that is appreciated. Perfect for all situations, if you went here and had a bad time I would be very surprised!

Great gluten free pizza and tasty salads. The patio area is very spacious and nice. Service could have been a bit quicker but overall a great experience!

We went to Escondido for the Friday night car show and had Haus of Pizza beforehand. We ordered simply, one pepperoni pizza and a salad.
Unfortunately my whole family agrees that their pizza isn’t great. They didn’t like the sauce or the crust. I’m the lone dissenter in that I thought it was pretty good. The salad was fine, albeit simple.
The price was right and the employees were super kind and friendly. Fine but overall forgettable experience.
