The name has been changed And it’s not very retail-designed. More like a giant lot full of plants you have to discover yourself… at least it was on my visit. There was a staffer there, but she was helping out a landscaper the entire time. They also weren’t selling things like soil, fertilizers, etc. Just plants. Which is fine. I might have given another star if they had more edibles, from veggies and herbs to fruit trees. They had some, but not anything too unique. That said, you might score some bargains when it comes to stuff they do stock.

Stopped here today because El Plantio down the street was closed. This place is great and has an excellent selection of fruit trees, palms, grasses and countless other selections. The prices were so much cheaper than Home Depot and other places I’ve visited. The service was mediocre and their vegetable selections left much to be desired but I would definitely come back here for many of my garden and planting needs. If you know what you want and don’t want to spend a lot of money, this is your place!

My husband and I have been going to this ‘Delightful’ nursery for our gardening/plant needs since moving to Escondido 2 years ago. Sharon and Jose the owners and operators of the nursery are simply the best! You can tell they love what they do and they LOVE their nursery. They have a great variety and selection of plants and tress. If they don’t have what you are looking for — trust me they will find it for you. Great business, great people, great prices and for all these reasons we will only go to them for our nursery needs:)
