Not enough value is put on Honesty when it comes to doing business with people. All German Auto once again has managed to exceed the status quo for such a Virtue. I refuse to go back to the Dealer for any and all repairs needed for my car. Thank you for your service and care.

I recently took my 2015 BMW m235i for some performance upgrades to these guys and all i can say is wow. They were prompt and friendly, they didn’t gouge me because of the car i drive, and boy does the car run better. i worked with Fred and he was more then courteous the entire time answering any and all questions i had! i will definitely be back!

I was having serious problems with my M3 and went to these guys thinking might be a good indy shop that would put quality work up and above treating customers like just $$$ signs.
to my dismay, they replaced a clutch for $ 4000 and never resolved the problem, went back to them and just got the classic run about, oh, you need to learn to drive an SMG properly. it is just the way the car works.
I am glad to report that I have found another indy shop in escondido that does a far better job than these guys do. and all the problem that I was having were electrical and glad to report has been resolved.
So moral of the story, if you want regular maintenance go to these guys, nothing beyond, they are no different than the stealership.

This review is way overdue. I’ve used All German Auto for over 10+ years and four cars. Interestingly my first experience sucked. AGA installed a new blower fan which turned out to have had a broken piece in it. I had to take it to the dealership for diagnosis and repair. Upon learning this, Martin, the owner of AGA, promptly took responsibility and reimbursed the cost I incurred at the dealership. I still remember him saying something like, «We’re not perfect, but we’ll make things right.» Indeed, and that is reassuring.
Since that time, I’ve had nothing but good experiences. Troy is an excellent service manager that’s helped me out with a number of car issues. He listens well and recognizes that his recommendations have to bring good value to the car owner, not selling something unnecessary. Anthony, who does their car sales, is also great. They have a vehicle location service that bids for you at car auctions, and although I didn’t ultimately buy a car through them, will consider it in the future.
Kudos to All German Auto.

I had four tires shipped here by the Tire Rack for mounting and balancing. I was happy with the quick turn around, good price and good service overall. The Tire Rack price was $ 25.00 per tire and All German Auto honored that price and completed the work the same day the tires arrived at their shop. They also disposed of the old tires at no additional charge and provided a high quality balance and valve stems. I am a happy camper!

Unfortunately, customer service is a lost art. It’s great to know of a company that understands this vital business principle and puts it into practice in such an efficient manner.
Recently had my BMW X5 serviced at All German Auto; the repair work and excellent customer service and was impressive. Fred is top-​notch and went the extra mile to ensure my satisfaction and successfully made every effort to assist me and my wife and guarantee our repeat business.
Fred is the prime example of excellence in customer service, such a rare commodity today. His courtesy, patience and attention to detail build long-​lasting customer relations and give a welcome sense of appreciation. It doesn’t matter if you have terrible credit, zero down payment, or a million dollars to your name. He is all about making people feel like they matter.
It can take a little time for him to find the EXACT car you want but that time it will be worth the wait in savings for you. So get on his radar early so he can find you the best car at the very best price. David is the epitome of integrity, an automobile mastermind, best in the business. I wouldn’t even consider buying anything with a motor on it unless David was a part of it.
One more thing… ironically, when he makes somebody’s life a little brighter, HE is the one who feels blessed. When I talked with him and saw how he helped people, I kept asking him, «Who ARRRE you???».

I highly recommend this place. It may be a little pricey but that’s because the work they do lasts and it is done correctly the first time. I have a 2003 330i, I’ve had my car worked on a couple times here, Troy usually helps me, nicest guy ever. I was even a little worried about a ticking sound in my car before I went on a road trip and they checked it out for me and made sure I didn’t have any damaging service engine lights on and showed me where the rattling was coming from because it was easy to see, and they were so nice about it. This kind of service definitely makes me want to continue to take all of my bmws here for life. Great place over all.

Worked with Steve when I had my Mercedes E320. Always honest about what repairs were important and what could wait. Exceptional value and great work. Highly reccomend them for repairs on any German made vehicle. Actually better service than most dealers and definitely better priced! I understand they now do all makes of cars… may have to revisit them when I need service for my new car.

Very professional and prompt! ALWAYS beat competitors prices for all of my 2012 BMW 335i repairs. The staff are all very knowledgable and courteous, but I recommend Fred as an advisor.

I usually leave car maintenance appointments for my husband to handle since I’ve heard stories about some places taking advantage of people (usually women) who aren’t as mechanically inclined. But on Veterans Day, I had promised to take my kiddo to Legoland, hubby had to work, and I had gotten the top off coolant message on my GL the day before. All German Auto was recommended by my car enthusiast friend who’s in a BMW club. It was on the way so I called first thing in the morning — before their posted business hours. I talked to Fred who was very polite and friendly. He said to just come in and he would check it out. And as long as there wasn’t a leak, it would take about 10 minutes. I didn’t need an appointment. The lobby/​showroom looked like a high end car dealership. Fred was paged and came out to meet me. I mentioned that I’d been getting a message about correcting the tire pressure also. It seemed like less than 10 minutes later my car was topped off and tires checked (turned out the sensors were being squirrelly because of the cold weather). As he handed back my keys, I asked him what I owed and he said, «Nothing.» I was shocked! Who does anything for free these days? They’ve earned our business for sure on future scheduled services! Thank you for getting us on our way so quickly AGA!

I’ve always had hesitations about car services because of «trust issues…»
I have no idea about anything under the hood and have been having trouble with my car (check engine light) and I finally don’t feel like I’m being taken advantage of or doing more than necessary.
Fred went above and beyond to help with my car services. The first time I came in he threw some extra oil since I was low and this time I’m having a oil change.
I’ve been here twice and each time it’s such a joy to visit All German Auto, they are friendly and personable.
They are also very affordable and have a great waiting area with great selections for drinks.
Overall, it’s is a honest, thorough place for your European car needs.

Took my 2007 328i wagon I for a steering lock warning light. They replaced my steering column for a great price. Looking in the forums and 7 years ago folks were getting job done at the dealer for more then what this cost me! Car was done fast and they washed it twice, once Friday when it was done and again Monday when I was able to pick up! Troy kept me informed. Will return!

Just bought my second car from AGA in 4 years. And once again we purchased a late model used car (BMW 328I) in OUTSTANDING condition at a very, very, reasonable price. Could not be happier. AGA had all the previous service records and made sure it was ready to go when I picked it up. Of course, I also utilize the services of AGA for the maintenance of the MB GL 350 and have had only professional, prompt, and courteous personnel assist me.
I highly recommend AGA for the purchase of a high quality used vehicle and/​or the repair of any German model vehicle you may own.

We got our valve seals changed on a 740iL for an unexpectedly low price — as they make a «kit» other mechanics can buy to perform the same for less then a normal valve stem job. Frankly we saved many thousands for the job and I’m satisfied with the work. I waited a few months before posting to ensure their work held true — and it has. I dropped off the car after hours + picked up after hours too… so our dealings were strictly over the phone… all the more reason I am pleased how things turned out. Thanks!

I’ve been taking my BMW X5 to All German Auto for about a year now, and recently we started taking my wife’s BMW 3-​series there as well. Our local BMW dealer was just getting too expensive, and it seemed they were having trouble with some simple things (they needed to call in their «electrical expert» to figure out why I was getting a «side light» warning message on my dashboard — it was just that the «angel eye» headlights were out Easily diagnosed by spending 10 seconds in a Google search).
Based on the recommendation of a colleague at work, I called Troy at All German Auto when my car needed a major repair (white smoke from the exhaust when accelerating). BMW of Vista estimated nearly $ 10k (though they came down considerably when I said I’d have to look elsewhere), but Troy told me All German Auto had developed a tool that let them do the repair without having to pull the entire engine out (standard procedure in the official BMW repair manual). This meant the labor cost was WAY lower — with a total of about 65% less than what the BMW dealer had quoted. I’ve been going to Troy ever since.
I appreciate their thoroughness, especially by letting me know that, while they’ve got things taken apart to do one repair, it would be a good time to take a look at some other things that might need attention — so they don’t have to do the tear-​down all over again at some point in the future. It can make the immediate bill higher, but it makes sense in the long run. Troy tells me what’s needed, and gives me an idea of what should be done sooner rather than later, versus what can wait a while.
We did have one job that went a bit sideways, and I have to say that Troy really stepped up to make things right, including arranging for my car to be picked up at home, because the timing was such that I couldn’t take it in myself. He even had it dropped off when everything was fixed. He then called a few days later to make sure I was happy.
I have to say that the only thing I miss about taking my car to the BMW dealer is the free BMW loaner car. With AGA, you get a great rate on a basic car at nearby Enterprise. And they’ll pick you up and drop you off. In any case, the amount of money I’m saving on the actual repair work is more than enough (many times over) to pay for a rental car.
In the showroom, and when I call, Tanya at the front desk is always a pleasure to chat with. Very friendly and efficient. Great crew at All German Auto. We’re very happy with their service and I’ve referred friends and colleagues there as well.

If you want the best BMW repair and tuner shop in Southern California, you found it.
All German Auto (AGA) is the best place to go and get professional and insightful work done on your car.
I personally am just about finished with owning a BMW. It has broken my heart and my wallet over many years, but there is nothing more relieving that talking to people who know your car and BMWs enough to help you out and not break your wallet. Did you know they make special tools for BMW and other shops to service cars faster and cheaper?
Be sure to watch the cool videos of Martin online and check out their cool products. I personally don’t like cars… I love cars, and I’m not kidding when I say I should have bought my car with AGA in the first place with their car buying service.
With BMW, you gotta love it or leave it. If you are gonna love it, you better call All German Auto. If I knew about All German Auto when I first started driving BMW, I wouldn’t feel so bittersweet about being an owner.

P. S. Rent a car from Enterprise when you drop your car off. They are awesome, they pick you up, and you get a great deal. ;-)

Stay away for anything more than an oil change and DO NOT TRUST their «recommendations» for needed repairs.
Recently brought my Mercedes 320 wagon in for a routine oil change. I had the major 100,000 miles service done by my longtime Mercedes mechanic and friend in Los Angeles 6 months prior to this.
All German did my oil change and then handed me a list of needed repairs totaling close to $ 5,000. Even gave me a scare about my flex disc being close to breaking and various leaks and the car being somewhat unsafe to drive. Mind you, I hadn’t seen any signs of leaks prior to that or had any issues.
I almost left the car with them to perform the repairs because I was so spooked but thank God I thought about it and decided to call my old trusted mechanic who was surprised since he had not seen signs of anything wrong when he did the major service and told me to bring the car up to him in LA. I did and he and his most trusted Mercedes guys gave the car a complete inspection and found 1 thing wrong. A minor transmission shaft seal leak developing which they took care of for under $ 400. No other problems. This was in January of 2015 and the car has been going strong with no issues. The only good thing about All German Auto is the employees are very polite. Even as they try to squeeze customers for unnecessary work. SHAMEFUL.

I got my maintenance done here on my Toyota RAV4. My SUV runs so much better now. I don’t know anything about fixing cars and they didn’t take advantage of me, the price was very fair.
Great people all around. Front desk was super helpful from the moment i walked in. The technicians are very smart and did a thorough job. I will be coming here for all my Auto needs in the future. Thanks AGA!

As a frequent poster/​admin to many Bimmerfest forums I can honestly say Martin and his team set the bar super high for Indy BMW shops! They are the best at developing parts and repair processes that both innovative and provide high quality with a TRUE value pricing approach!
As a nervous owner of the infamous BMW 4.4L N62 engine car I know this first hand! Not sure what I am talking about? Google it, check out the huge amount of threads (Bimmerfest) out there on this widely used motor in many 2004 – 2008 BMW 5, 6, 7 and X5’s. This motor is plagued with problems… the 2 big one’s…value stem seal failure (white smoke at idle, P0941,2 error codes) and the coolant pipe going bad under the manifold. Both cost a ton to fix at the stealerships! These guys can do both repairs for WAY less because of the tools, parts and processes they have developed!
