Agree with previous reviews. Absolutely awful. They installed a thermostat that needed calibration and refused to do anything about it. The technician took off while I was on the phone with the boss trying to figure out a solution and the boss just said there is nothing wrong and hang up on me.
I later called the manufacture of the thermostat and found out that it was a really simple thing to fix. They could even walk me through over the phone it should have been really easy thing for the technician. The way he and his boss acted was absolutely unprofessional.
Stay away from them! It also makes me wonder doesn’t the Old republican warranty company read Unilocal reviews before they contract out their work?

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! This company was sent out by First American Home Buyers Warranty to check on my central AC that was not working. The technician (extremely rude) spoke no english! How am I supposed to explain what is wrong with the AC if he can’t understand me. When I explained to him what the issue was, he went straight for the thermostat (cutting my wife off), and said «This is problem». We explained to him that it was working, and it was the compressor causing issues. He said it wasn’t and LITERALLY RIPPED IT OUT OF THE WALL!!! And of course, along came the paint as well. The then replaced it with the lowest brand and model available, even though ours was state of the art. He then removed two air filters out (not sure from where) put them on my carpet, and said he was going to look at the compressor outside. He then walked back in the house, told my wife «ok. You paint here» and walked out of the house with his tools and drove off!!!
When I called to complain to a supervisor, he was on vacation (of course) and wouldn’t be back until 8 days later. So now, they expect me to be without AC (it’s June) for those days, and have a walled with ripped paint!

Worst service ever. Tried to say my check was never received from first service. Took two months and multiple technicians to get it right. Very unorganized, extremely incompetent, and absolutely unreliable. I hate that my warranty company uses them… never again!

American Home Shield sent them when my washing machine stopped working. «Mike» was the technician — they came out, properly diagnosed the issue and ordered the part. Part took about a week to come in (fairly average on that score but nothing the appliance companies can control) Seems like people on here are mad about that — nothing appliance or warranty companies can do in that regard. Anyways — Mike was on time, knowledgable, friendly, diagnosed the problem accurately, just came out and showed me exactly what was wrong — fixed it right the first time. I have a lot of laundry built up and I’m happily taking care of that issue NOW! Good experience — and it’s a long shot with appliance companies!

I noticed all the bad reviews and it concerned me when AHS assigned them to fix my dryer, but my experience was very positive, They gave me the normal dreaded 4 hour window. My window was from 11 to 3 and Vladimir called me at 11:03 and told me he was on his way, he arrived at 11:20. He was very nice, informative, and had my dryer fixed in 30 minutes. I hope I don’t have things break again, but that’s unrealistic, so when the next thing breaks I would like to get them to come fix it also.

Worst company ever worked with. Unilocal should really introduce negative star ratings for company like this. Never will I work with them, nor buy home warranty insurance from the company contracting them.
I have a rental property, the problem was the water heater pilot did not stay. It was covered by home warranty. They came twice and could not fix it. When it finally came to the point of suggesting to replace the water heater, this company came up with a proposal with additional $ 420 cost that won’t be covered by insurance.
I ended up taking the cash option from the insurance company and hire another contractor who only charged $ 50 for the extra cost.
For every visit, the insurance company tells me the technician would call me 30 minutes ahead, which never happened after the first visit. As the owner of the house, I was hoping to meet the technician to go over the details, but the technician just go directly there to work with the tenant. I had no clue whether the technician even showed up for the 4 hour window to begin with!

This is the worst company I’ve ever encountered and they haven’t even come to my house to service my washer yet! I was given an apt and a 3 hour window… So I arranged my work schedule around it. They never showed up and they never called so when I called them, a lady with a thick accent picked up and pretty much blamed it on a computer glitch. I told her this was unacceptable and I had arranged my day’s schedule around this appointment and why weren’t we notified? She then proceeded to raise her voice and yell at me like it was my fault. «I said I’m sorry, what more do you want from me? I can’t talk to you, let me talk to your husband.» I can’t believe a company like his even has any customers. I hope they go out of business!

I only wish that I could have given a lower score than 1! Waited almost 3 months and they still never fixed my dryer that was not heating up. The first time the rude serviceman came he turned on the dryer for thirty seconds and said there was nothing wrong with it and left. The second time they never looked at the dryer and said parts were ordered. After waiting almost a month the rude serviceman showed up and asked what’s the problem as if he didn’t even know why he was there. He turned the dryer on for one minute and said the vent was clogged and basically it wasn’t his problem I wasn’t covered. Oh by the way the parts he showed with had nothing to do with the heater problem. I’ve been an American Home Shield customer for 25 plus years and this was definitely the worst service ever. AHS READ THE REVIEWS AND DROP THESE CLOWNS!

This company deserves a negative five star rating. It is the worst contractor in San Diego county.
SHAME ON YOU AMERICAN HOME SHIELD!
Our refrigerator stopped working and we contacted American Home Shield, who assigned A-​AALL to service it. We were told that part needed to be ordered, and that it would take five to six days for it to come in. Nearly two weeks later we had heard nothing from them so we contacted AHS. We were informed that the part was never ordered. A-​AALL FORGOT TO ORDER THE PART NECESSARY TO REPAIR THE REFRIGERATOR. We waited another week for the part to come in. As of today we have been three weeks without a refrigerator. The dispatcher at A-​AALL called to let me know that even though the part was not in, they were making appointments for the NEXT WEEK in case it does come in. By that time we will have been without a refrigerator for a month. I brought all of this to her attention and demanded that it be completed this week, as it is their fault that it is still not repaired. SHE LAUGHED.

First American contracted A-​AALL Services to come out and fix our heater. After multiple visits and technicians replacing the same parts (pressure switch twice) and trying to tell us we needed to replace parts that weren’t broken, we finally got to switch to A+ Heating Cooling & electric and that has been a much better experience.

DO NOT EVER WORK WITH THEM!!!
my fridge broke (SUNDAY 10 – 4), took them one week to have tech available to come out. he came out (Sat 10 – 10), told me needed a new part, which will take 3 – 5 business days.
5 days later (friday 10 – 16) part did not come in…
2 WEEKS later, part came in, he showed up (Friday 10 – 23), its the wrong part. Re-​orders the part.
I followed up 3 days later (Wed 10 – 28); was told the part will be here on THURSDAY.
Called Thursday, no part.
Called FRIDAY (10 – 30), said according to tracking, it should be in NEXT WEEK (11 – 5)
so once again, their idea of 3 – 5 days is really 2 weeks.
and who knows if its going to be the correct part, or right diagnose!!!

I had an issue with our dryer making a loud screeching noise while in use. We had arranged for A-​AALL Services to come and repair the dryer. They came in to fix the dryer and had told us that they replaced the problematic part. We tried out the dryer after they «fixed» it and found that the noise was worse than before. It was then that A-​AALL Services told us that the part was actually not replaced, but repaired. They told us that they would have to order the part and replace it to fix the problem. This whole process of ordering the part took 3 WEEKS. During that time, they kept telling us that the part was expected to arrive the next day and so on. After some of our own research, we discovered that the part was very common and could be purchased locally. What frustrated us was their disorganization and inability to give us definitive answers. We went back and forth with many phone conversations and they did not seem to care about the lack of timeliness with this repair. It would have been better, if they told us from the beginning that this would take 3 weeks, so that we could have made other arrangements with our growing pile of laundry. I feel that this vendor’s poor business sense and ethics contributed to this terrible experience. Furthermore, their Unilocal reviews were horrible. It’s very disappointing that American Home Shield would use and recommend a vendor with a bad reputation. There needs to be better vetting of your vendors.

First American Warranty sent these guys to fix a heater. Had to replace it and Ararat (technician) was awesome. Honest and sincere about what work needed to be done. Very glad he was the one to do the work. Professional job and super sincere individual. Huge thanks Ararat!

Before I begin, A-​ALL Service was selected by my home warranty company (1^st American). I’m a big Unilocaler, and let’s just say, I was very very nervous about having this company service my AC.
I reported my claim to the insurance company on Wednesday, and received a call from A-​All customer service rep Friday morning. They had a Sunday spot and I jumped all over it. Come Sunday, I received a call from Matt letting me know he was on his way. Within 15 min he arrived. He immediately got to work. He advised me that the AC motor broke and must be replaced. He didn’t have the part with him, and before he could do anything, they needed to get an approval from 1^st American. I followed up with 1^st American & A-​AAll service and the order was approved. It’s now Saturday; Matt returned with the part and the AC is back to running properly.
Overall, I was satisfied with the service I received from A-​AALL service, and very happy with Matt. If I were to call them again, I will ask for Matt.

First American sent them out over two years ago. They replaced an AC condenser. They complained about the set up of our furnace but never gave the Home Warrany co the info. Our AC still doesn’t work. There is a slow leak that no one wants to detect and repair apparently. They gave us no paperwork. I am having lots of problems with the new company First American sent out. I think it may be the First American Home protection warranty that is the problem but who knows.

This is THE WORST company you can hire to repair your appliances. I went through American Home Shield, and A-​AALL came up with EVERY EXCUSE in the book as to why my appliance worked fine. What ever you do, DO NOT HIRE this company!

Service tech showed up in old beaten up van with plain clothes. He wouldn’t listen to me regarding the problem with my dishwasher. I told him the spring wouldn’t open up the dispenser. After he took the whole thing apart, I’m told I didn’t maintain it properly so the repair won’t be covered. Mind you, I run the Finish dishwasher cleaner in it monthly. He put it back together but now IT WON’T WORK AT ALL. IT WONT TURN ON! Now I’m left to purchase a new dishwasher. So upset and disappointed in this company. Feeling cheated…

This company was selected by my home warranty (Old Republic) not me to inspect and possibly repair a leak on my roof coming from or near the exhaust pipe from my wall furnace. The service person arrives smelling just awful, talking on his ear piece and talking to me at the same time. Clearly unprofessional from the beginning.
I explain my situation, he listens, then gets a ladder to walk onto the roof. Looks at the exhaust pipe and says my pipe is «too short» and the rain water is splashing from the roof into the pipe. Huh???
Then he says he has to submit a quote for repair back to my insurance company. The insurance company calls back and says $ 400 to replace the exhaust pipe.
Well, I called my HVAC guys, Airmaxx. They found a pin hole leak after pouring water on various locations in and around the exhaust pipe and fixed everything in less than an hour.
What a joke. Never use this company ever again!

Awful company. Twice they did not show up in the four hour window they gave us. They do not return calls, do not answer their phones and hung up on me. They never fixed the problem and took my deductible for my home warranty.
NEVER USE THIS COMPANY THEY SUCK

Our home warrant company, First American Home Warranty, set up an appointment with A-​aall Services to have our stove looked at as it was not working properly. We were told the technician would be out between 11 am and 3 pm on Saturday. By 2:45 pm there was no technician or phone call from the company. They technician finally called at 2:55 saying he was on his way. He eventually arrive at 3:45 pm.
He diagnosed the problem of the burners not working and discovered that the tubes that feed the gas to the burners were broken and the clips to hold in the igniter needed to be replaced.
He had no idea on how to find the age of the stove or any other information from it.
He also told my husband that he didn’t think the gas tubes could be replaced and that he would have to go back to the office and see if they could be ordered. He said that he would send his report to the Home Warranty Company and to us as well. He said First American should get it on Monday.
He informed my husband that the stove top was unusable, but that we could still use the oven.
Upon talking to First American Home Warranty, they said the technician’s report said we broke the stove and that not even the oven was safe to use, completely opposite of what he told my husband in person! This change of story caused our stove claim to be denied by First American.
My husband also said that the technician was completely disinterested and condescending when dealing with him. I hate to think how he would have been if I was there to deal with him instead of my husband.
