Hagedorn Appliances

Bought a refrigerator at Hagedorn, thinking it would be better to patronize a local small business. A year later, the refrigerator leaked. Called Hagedorn for repair and they sent the repairman out. He «fixed» it with a piece of styrofoam and some heat resistant tape. He spent 10 minutes doing this and charged $ 75.00! We live within 3 miles of Hagedorn, so he didn’t spend a long time on the road and almost no gas. We will never shop there again.

Horrible customer service! I scheduled a fridge repair with them for a rental house. This morning I called to confirm the time and was told I was not on the schedule. They said they had left a message for my tenant and she had never called back and the earliest they can get me in was next Tuesday! First, if they couldn’t get ahold of her, they should have called ME back. I was the one who scheduled it, I was the one paying for it, I am the owner. Second, my renter doesn’t have voicemail. So there was NO way they «left a message» for her. Liars. I received no apology, no sympathy no remorse from them at all. (It turns out they also have one of the highest service call rates in town).
I will NEVER use them again for any of my 16 rental houses! Again, horrible.

Came home from vacation to find out everything in the freezer was thawed and the refrigerator was not very cold. Did not want to call the big box people because everything is outsourced and I’ve heard a lot of complaints/​My neighbor said they always use Hagedorn Appliances and they are local. They came out the next day and thankfully it was only a relay switch. So grateful for Tony’s kindness and the fast service. Thanks again!

I woke up to find my 11 year old fridge melting. A friend recommended I call Hagedorn’s. So I did. I told Dan, the repair tech. It’s an old fridge so we would either replace or fix if possible. Since it was unexpected I was hoping for fix. Lol. And sure enough Dan fixed it. He did a great job. He checked all the components and knew right away that it was a relay switch. He even gave great advice on what to look for when we do need to replace the old fridge. Absolutely worth it! It was like having my Dad come out and fix it which was great. Thank you Hagedorn’s!

I was a little hesitant to try Hagedorn’s based on some negative reviews here, but I wanted to support a local business and I know they have supported local schools so I gave them a try. I am so glad I did. Their prices are the same as the big box stores, but the service is far superior. The sales staff was knowledgeable, friendly and ready to help without making me feel like the only fish in a shark tank. I never felt any pressure. In fact, instead of immediately showing me a new microwave, the salesman suggested that my old one may be under warranty and before he was finished talking, another staff member had the manufacture info ready for me.
On another occasion, I had a Hagedorn service tech come to my home to look at a problem I was having with a dryer I had recently purchased from them. The tech was on time, courteous, and very informative. He identified the problem, fixed it, told me how to maintain things and covered the entire visit under warranty even though technically the problem wasn’t even on their end.
I trust Hagedorn’s and I’ll be shopping there from now on.

our experience at Hagedorns was absolutely horrible. I would recommend to never purchase any appliances or products from this store. we cancelled an order for a dishwasher and it has been 3 weeks and we still do not have our refund. we have been lied to several times and that the check couldn’t be mailed because of no mail service during the week. again, I would recommend to never walk into that store.

Just went in ready to buy all new appliances. I was the only customer in the store and not acknowledged by either of the 2 employees. I walked around a couple times thinking someone would ask to help me. Never happened. They lost a big sale because of lack of customer service.

Great customer service, very knowledgeable staff. If you need appliance’s this is a great place to go.

Bought a Refrigerator two weeks ago. Been buying appliances from them since 1972, never had any problems before this. Sale time all went well. Needed delivery next day they said OK. Asked for delivery after 2:00 they said OK. Next morning independent contractor calls and says will be there between 1:30 and 4:30. I said cant be there until 2:00 as requested he says «I can’t guarantee». Stated that was what I requested he replies «I can’t guarantee». He shows up about 2:30. Dis-​assembles old refrigerator first. Then comes in and says new refrigerator has broken door, he cannot deliver. Asked them to remove old refrigerator. He says cannot, no room on truck. Called salesperson, he says can get new one by Wed or Thursday of next week. Offers temporary replacement, I say don’t need if I get it as stated. Call next Wednesday to get status. Put on hold for 15 minutes, hang up. Call again an hour later, talk to shipping they say will find out and call back. No call back happens! Call again 2 hours later, only one salesperson, he was very helpful by checking and callilng back. He calls back and says it will be delivered on Thursday, expect a call around 9:30.No call happens. I call at 11, talk to shipping (same person that did not return my call from day before). Says he will check and call back, he does. Says it was my fault that I had specified the wrong phone number (I did not, and the number on the paper was used by them last week when they called). I said get the refrigerator in my house by this eveining. Left message with my sales person complaining about the problems and asked him to call me. He has never called. Fridge arrived, I am happy, but may never use Hagedorn again.
