Country Hearth Inns & Suites

If I could leave less than one star, I would. Expensive for nothing. Bathtub icky, small room, one plate of food items out for «breakfast». One lady was nice but the owner was creepy. Would not stay there again. Absolutely nothing «Country Hearth» about the place. Dreary, run down and spooky.

This was one of the worst motel experiences I have ever had. We were supposed to be able to check in at 4, but at 4:45 our room was still not ready. When we returned to the room, the floor was still dirty. My husband searched for the tv remote and could not locate it until he laid down to go to sleep. It was under the sheets and mattress pad. The air conditioner ran all night but didn’t cool the room sufficiently. There was a car air freshener stuck in the air conditioner. The shower had one basic temperature (lava) and the floor panels creaked whenever you walked on them. I will not be returning.

If it weren’t for Angie at the front desk, I wouldn’t bother writing a review. She was the only good thing about this place!
The man, I assume is a manager, was rude and unaccommodating. He lied to my face about not having any rooms available for early check in, but changed his story three times before allowing us into the room. Inside the room was a musty smell and dead bugs. He also charged us extra for a fifth person which was fine with me. I immediately went down to tell them about the insects, where I decided to get a refund due to the terrible customer service (except Angie, who was so kind and friendly).
The man not only encouraged us to cancel the reservation, but also told us that we would never be able to find a hotel that would fit five people, and that we would get into trouble.
I type this now from my room at the Courtyard Marriott that’s double the size, has a sofa bed as well, and had NO problem with five of us in the room. And for nearly the SAME price. I want to support locally owned businesses but if you’re going to treat me like trash then don’t expect any business from me. I highly recommend against staying here unless they change management. Make Angie in charge!

for a rate of $ 45 a night. It is the worst hotel I have ever seen. I can’t believe anyone would ever stay here although there were plenty of people obviously doing so while loudly enjoying beverages out of a paper bag in the parking lot. The room was dirty. It smelled. I sat down for a brief moment on one of the beds and observed a very saggy and uncomfortable mattress. I would complain about the dated décor but after we found a turd on the bathroom floor, it doesn’t seem important. We couldn’t leave the joint fast enough. We spent 15 minutes in that place and that was too long. AVOID this hotel like the plague!

I had a horrible experience with the room. I reserved the room online. The pictures looked nice so I decided to try it out.
Upon arrival the lobby smelled of mildew and smoke. The receptionist was cordial. The pool was closed due to lack of inspection. I get my key and open the room door and the non smoking room wreaked of cigarettes and marijuana. There was gum on the floor, mildew in the bathroom. The pillows were yellow with stains. The door had a 3 inch gap on the side and bottom.
I walked directly back to the lobby and got my money back and drove a bit further south to the Microtel and had a good night.
I will not frequent a Country Hearth again due to this mishap.

I stayed here @ the Country Hearth Inn for one night on Saturday, May 3, 2014. I was in town for the 2014 16^th annual Cincinnati Flying Pig marathon. Prices for hotel rooms in downtown Cincinnati were more than what my budget could handle, so I looked into the surrounding areas in Kentucky, while having it close to the I-​71/​75 and came across the Country Hearth Inn in Erlannger, KY. Even though it was one night, the hotel itself could be compared to a motel 6 or a Super 8, based on its rates and physical appeal. While it was priced right at $ 60/​night, it could have been a little better, as far as comfort, but it fit my needs. While the ambiance of the room felt dated and dingy, it was adequate and clean for the most part.
The Country Hearth Inn in Erlanger, KY is located at 599 Donaldson Highway in Erlanger, KY. They do have private parking and they take credit cards for payment. They have electronic key doors, but the system on the room door seemed to be dated and clearly not state of the art. The check in process was nice, especially when the lady at the counter’s eyes lite up when she saw my drivers license. It’s not every day that you have a guest with a Hawaii driver’s license. It was fun. The lobby area was pleasant to look at, although it was small. I’m not sure if they had additional amenities, since I was just there for a cheap bed. The check out process was fast and expedient as well, especially at 4am. I rushed in, told him my room number, handed my keycard to the guy. He said «okay» and I was on my way. It was fast and cool.
The overall experience was good and adequate. The cheapness of the stay was good and the bed was comfortable. I stayed in room #114 with two double beds. I also had 2 other friends with me, so we split the room for an even cheaper deal. While the room itself was clean, the only thing that was a problem was that the television didn’t work, even when we plugged it back in. It wasn’t a big deal though. Just a little bit disappointed. I would recommend this property, if you like the smaller properties like this. While its not the Hilton, it’s very budget friendly for those traveling to Cincinnati, Louisville, or wherever your travels takes you.
