Awesome cupcakes. I have yet to have a bad cupcake from Scratch and I can be picky with baked goods. The bakery itself is charming and so are the employees. The one downfall is the cupcakes are a little pricey. But if your in the downtown Ephrata area and have a sweet tooth stop in for a delicious cupcake and a hot cup of coffee! Enjoy

Of course the cupcakes are delicious, but I usually come for soup and sandwiches for lunch! It’s a great place to bring the kids sinceas there’s a playroom downstairs. A perfect mom meetup or lunch spot for professionals alike. Owners are local and super friendly. Follow their Facebook page for great promos like free cupcakes and daily specials. A great addition to Ephrata main st.

Scratch made the cupcakes for my wedding, and they were PERFECT. Everyone raved about them, and I know more than a few guests who went back for seconds, and then thirds to take home with them in the wee hours of the morning. I feel like I’m blowing a big secret here (Scratch, please don’t listen to this) but the cupcakes were also insanely affordable. The staff was willing to decorate them however I wanted, but the cupcakes themselves were so stunning I just had our florist add a few fresh flowers to the cupcake tower and that was that! If you’re getting married in Lancaster, you need to check out this bakery. They’ll treat you (and your guests) right.

The cupcakes & cakes are fabulous-​not too sweet, just perfect & moist. Would love it if they were slightly bigger. Some of the workers could use a lesson in customer service. Just check your cupcake orders to make sure that they are correct.

After passing Scratch for months I stopped in and picked up a cookies and cream cupcake for myself, a peanut butter and chocolate one for my boyfriend, and an oat and apple «pupcake» for our dog. All of us loved the cupcakes! The cake is super moist and the icing was absolutely delicious, Ollie dog seemed to love his treat too! Paired their equally tasty coffee, Scratch’s cupcakes are worth the trip to Ephrata!

We had the Blonde, Moca Latte, Snickers, and the Cookies and Cream cupcakes. I had the snickers and it was delicious. The caramel and peanuts with the chocolate was almost like eating a real snickers bar! Oh and they have doggie great cupcake for your four legged furry friend.
