This is a very odd place. I’d driven past it and thought(for the longest time) it was closed and only the shell remained. Then I found out it was actually more of a commercial kitchen with a closed storefront. «Then» one day(as I was driving past it again) it looked open! I had to stop and turn around, and yes – it was open. But the next day when I went back, it was closed again and the sign in the window said they were open sometimes and closed sometimes and in general just that they were open when they felt like it and closed up when they felt like it. Which I figured was okay for a, I hoped, artisan bakery. They have great windows and their storefront looks great. Unfortunately, it’s actually just their furniture, windows and shelving that looks great. The day I managed to get there when the doors were open was like walking into the twilight zone. No one was inside. There were tables with no people and shelves with no food, and shelves with random strange food that didn’t look like it was made there. And on one side of the huge cavernous space, there was a little table of what looked like farmer’s market scones. And commercial looking baked goods. And a small glass case(very pretty!) of croissants and stuff. Again, very pricey. And a sign. «If we’re not out front, come find us in the back) and a long, echoing hallway with what looked like a huge warehouse with an industrial operation. And two people that looked(since they were so far away) like ants. So…they’re only open when they feel like it, don’t bother to staff the front, have stuff that looks like it came from Costco via the farmer’s market«baked good» stands, they’re pricey, and I have to walk down a long hall, yell for service and wait for someone to meander over to «help» me? Plus they only take cash to «keep their costs down»?? Hello? They sure aren’t spending anything on customer service. I think they should black out the windows and expand their operation into the front which would make more sense. I left, not that they cared. I found out that they make baked goods for other places. Maybe they should stick to that.
