Warning !!! Don’t shop here. Poor customer service. I was in there Monday to by a few items. About $ 25-​$ 30. The Employee had placed a wrong price on the swiss cheese. It was off by $ 4 less. But they «the acting manager» refused to honor the price that was placed on it by there now employee. I was told it was a mistake. I said not the customers fault and they should honor that price. She kept saying they were not a big chair store. I said it has nothing to do with that, it’s about customer service. She refused. It’s a place of commerce, Any professional business If they made a mistake they would have to honor that price and make sure next time it wont happen. But no. The «bigger supermarket would have sucked it up and honored that price. «So they didnt loose $ 4, but my $ 30 sale. And My self as a customer. I normally shop there about every 10 – 12 days and spend $ 30 – 35, that’s about $ 60 – 70 dollars about a month about $ 840 – 850 a year more on holidays .All for THEIR price mistake of $ 4. There are other places to shop that look after the customer. Like Carluccios in Marbaro, Ravioli fair in old bridge, Pastosa in manalapan
If you shop here buyer be ware, watch your prices and expiration dates, also the deli .When you ask for a certain amount it seems to always be slightly higher, but it adds up. You should also read other reviews. When there’s a problem the customer looses, poor service.

Used to go to the Matawan store, but this one is closer and they are both GREAT !

While certainly a step up from Top Tomato, the prepared foods are hit and miss. If buying dressings you must be very cognizant of expiration dates. Fruits & produce are OK, not spectacular. Cold cut counter while clean and neat, the salads tend to be disappointing, and the roast beef is hardly ever rare. The staff behind the cold cut counter are fabulous & very accommodating. This is no Delicious Orchards or Fairway, but neither are their prices. I love the fact that they carry milk in glass bottles. I wish they had rotisserie chickens which were decent & natural. Operative words, being decent & natural. The ones that they have do not look appealing at all. Baked goods are to sweet & disappointing. The baker might want to take a part time job at Alfonso’s on Staten Island to get some pointers.

I love Livotti’s. You have great prices on your Boars Head Deli meats. Your prepared foods are always fresh and delicious and your cut of meats is outstanding. I do feel that your meats are a little pricey, but they are great quality. The produce is always in abundance and fresh and I love the bakery! I do wish there was more of an abundance of the Sunday sauce meats on Sundays — seems to run out too quickly. This is one of my favorite places to shop!

From the minute you walk into Livotis is a great experience. It is like going to a families home. On the weeks there is usually an amazing singer who sings Italian melodies. Every item is fresh from the fruit to the meat to the unbelievable deli — don’t get discouraged by the line — because those workers are very fast and friendly. You can always try ask to taste anything you would like to try. Always fresh bread coming out of the oven. The bakery is the only one I will go to if I have to go over someone’s home or having guests over. All this as well as great prices too. Always someone to help with anything you need or any request you have

Items are always fresh with good variety and availability. The prices cannot be beat for the quality of food that you get.

This is a hidden gem in Marlboro Plaza. For weeks I would see the signs for it and see it nestled in the corner. Finally, I decided to venture in. The first time I went in it was a Saturday evening and quite empty. I initially was a bit turned off because I saw a lot of employees hanging around socializing. It made me feel uncomfortable to have them lurking where I wanted to browse meats.
I walked away with nothing on that trip but decided to give it another chance because some of the foods looked promising. It appears I had gone into the store that first time at an off hour, because it is hopping on Sunday afternoon! No time for any employees to socialize at all.
On Sundays in addition to the crowd (which in my head was hopefully an indicator that the food was good), there is live music. I perused more comfortably this time and chose some grilled chicken that was packages by the salad area. It was very delicious and of good quality, I could tell.
I tried a few more products on a subsequent visit and found the food in general to definitely be of good quality. The packages roasted plum tomatoes (also in the salad area) are absolutely incredible. The prepared salads are large and appetizing. There is a nice array of gluten free options, too.
The only product I was not too fond of was the meatball. I found it to be rather dry. The other con was that not every employee takes an interest in the customers. I’ve found this with a cashier. The bakery and deli and salad department has more friendly employees.
Other than that, I really like Livoti’s a lot. To me, it warrants 5 stars because the quality of the foods is acceptable to me (a girl who can spot bad chicken that has had antibiotics and hormones when she tastes it). There are unique prepared items that go above and beyond even Wegman’s. I would also shop here for prepared foods rather than at Whole Foods across the street. There is even a reward program where you can accumulate points for every visit.

Bought a eggplant parmigiana and it was excellent! Will definitely go back for more. This place has a wide assortment of veggies and deli is great.

Tried Livoti’s for the first time and everything I tried was delicious! Really surprised by the extensive bakery and prepared food selection. If you haven’t tried them yet, do yourself a favor and stop in and don’t forget to try the Italian bread!

Fresh fish, delicious pastries, great customer service. I am always happy with my visits here. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Great place and highly recommended

WORST MANAGER/​OWNER EVER !!! I have been going there., forever, first aberdeen now marlboro. I had a ad for ²⁄₉₉ cents rice balls potato croquettes. Went there on tuesday, told them I will try to make it in before they closed on friday for the 1 day sale. the guy said ok no problem. But I woke up early this morning, went there to purchase these so I did not have to worry about getting there late. I needed 12. total $ 6.00. The girl that greeted me was very nice and the guy at the deli counter was so happy fun .a pleasant experience until then. Some other man at the counter said he cant help me it was last weeks ad (and if you look at ad it is confusing) He happy guy said he will ask owner. The owner would not even come out to talk to me. when I was the only one in the store. He said NO. (over 6.00) He said we can make them a little cheaper but that is is. HE is the owner– he can give them for free if he wants. It was such an inconvenience and the owner couldnt speak to me. DISGUSTING. I left. cooling down– i called the owner. and he said still said no, OVER 6.00. l am in a customer serivice business also and you do not fight with a customer over 6 bucks. he was rude and nasty and hung up! never ever going there. livotis is ruined. they lost a very good paying customer over 6.00. it was the principle.

The octopus was weighed with chunks of ice. The guy thought I didn’t see it lol. The thing that really pissed me off was this happened 3 times in a row (every time I buy that octopus). I didn’t complain figuring he need to pocket the difference when the boss is not around. The guy is actually grabbing the octopus with big chunks of ice thinking I didn’t see it.

This place had really great tasting cakes but but we had an Italian cheese cake that after leaving the store cracked, we wanted to have something written on cake and they decided write with white icing on a white cake. Finally I wanted fresh cut soppressata and they told me that everything they had was already out!

Stay away from the produce… expirations… had to discard tomatoes that were just bought!!.
.the deli section not too bad. but kids behind counter a bit obnoxious.
seafood section so-so.ordered Delaware Bay oysters that were on sale and when we shucked them at home… found out why they were on sale. tiny crabs in each oyster!
Plenty of advertising… but quality is lacking.

I think they do have a very large selection in the store of various food. The bread area is too limited for me. The prices are fair I thought. We bought some items like fruits & veggies that were good. I loved their plain cheesecake we bought and thought that price was very fair $ 11.99. It was very creamy and not too heavy. I didn’t buy any pastry since the filling was a white cream instead of, a yellow custard which tastes better and more italian and real.. I bought the frozen macs which were on sale & they were good. Oh, I bought an eggplant stuffed bread which was too dry for me. We will be going back to try other items. Their meat section is varied and looked good. That will be the next item we try.

This place is a glorified Top Tomato.
I was EXTREMELY dissatisfied with every item I bought here with the exception of the 2 bags of Stacy’s Pita Chips and Livoti’s Guacamole. The zucchini pie was truly awful. Where is the zucchini? I left it on the table at my job hoping someone else would eat it… no one liked it. It was bland and had no zucchini in it!!! The butternut squash risotto was truly gross with fatty bits of prosciutto — another day of lunch tossed straight in the trash. Today the icing on the cake was the ravioli I bought… there was a small black hair in the ricotta of my ravioli — truly horrific — another lunch straight in the trash. I spent $ 48 that day. I should have placed $ 48 in the garbage. I’d never go back or recommend it to anyone. Even while shopping in the store I picked up items that were packaged DAYS prior… the salads were watery and looked inedible… Sorry Livoti’s — you deserve ZERO stars — I need my $ 48 back!!!
