In this fast paced market we needed a home inspection on short notice. Doug made time in his schedule to meet our deadline. The inspection report was detailed, professional, easy to navigate and Doug’s price was very reasonable. It helped us in understand what needed to be repaired so that we could make a realistic offer. In my experience, there is a difference between a business that provides a service to its customers vs. a business that is there to make a buck. After not getting the best vibe from another inspector I called, who quoted what seemed a high, house-sized-flat-rate price for a three bedroom condo, a contractor acquaintance of mine referred me to Doug. I spoke with Doug for some time to get a feel for his experience and knowledge, and having had several years of construction experience myself, felt confident of his ability. His demeanor was humble and attentive. I mentioned a few things I was concerned about with the place being built in 1974, which he noted, and he did a thorough, detailed job; finding things that I wouldn’t have thought to check. He did the inspection for a very reasonable price; way better than what I found in my research.
