Business Owner

Pema Chen is a National Board Certified Acupuncturist and Herbalist by the NCCAOM. She received her Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine from the world-​renowned Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, where she spent ¹⁄₃ of the 4 year program studying biomedical sciences.

She has completed clinical training at Beth Israel Continuum Cancer Center, where she treated patients in the Integrative Oncology Department. At Beth Israel, Pema participated in an on-​going clinical study on acupuncture for the treatment of xerostomia (dry mouth) due to radiation or surgery from head/​neck cancers. She helped patients maintain their health and emotional well-​being while they underwent chemotherapy and radiation therapy.

Pema has also completed clinical rotations at the Initiative for Women with Joint Diseases at NYU Langone Medical Center. At NYU, she had the opportunity to treat people with many debilitating illnesses, including orthopedic damage to body structures.
