Mountain VistaOB/GYN and Midwifery – Englewood

I went to Mountain Vista for missed period and pregnancy consultation. They did not do any pre-​auth with my insurance company and two months later my insurance company denied and I faced more than $ 800 bills. I asked them if any discount as I have always chosen them for female care, and the lady rejected my request. Money is valued more than customer relationship here.

I went to the Highlands Ranch office for my check-​up. All the staff were very friendly & helpful.
I’ve moved here from another Country where things are done differently so when I asked questions that might seem odd they were very good about not making me feel silly & giving me the information I was looking for. You can also print off the new patient forms at home and fill them out prior which is great & saves on waiting times.
The only thing I will mention is that I didn’t like being asked all the same questions in the consultation room as I’d already previously answered on the paperwork. When I had filled out the paperwork was a few days prior so I’d forgotten things like the date of my last period & had to sort of just guess when I was in the room.
The exam was also very different to what I’d experienced before. It’s not just a general pap-​smear here, there was a bit more to it which was a bit of a shock but not uncomfortable or anything, still very professional.

Would give ZERO stars if I could. I went here for my first OB doctors visit and asked at the desk when I checked in if they were sure they accepted my insurance. They told me yes. Turns out they don’t accept my insurance and want me to pay cash for the visit. Now 6 months later I have received a bill for over $ 500 for one office visit. BEWARE!!! Don’t get scammed like I did.

I am shocked to see that the rating for Mountain Vista has dropped since I checked it 9 months ago, so I feel the need to review about what an excellent experience I had with the midwives of Mountain Vista. When I found out I was pregnant in June, the ratings were much higher and very helpful in my choice to check into this practice. I’m so glad I did as Megan Leigh and Mary were both incredible throughout my pregnancy and I felt very comfortable having either woman there for the birth of my daughter.
As it ended up, Megan Leigh helped me birth my baby a few weeks ago. She was wonderful about making sure that the birth went as much according to my wishes as she could. I was able to use one of the birthing tub rooms at the hospital and it was so helpful in keeping me relaxed and comfortable. My husband and I decided to take hypnobirthing classes and Megan Leigh was knowledgeable and supportive of that method. I was able to give birth completely naturally, had no tearing, and didn’t need any pain medication afterwards.
I highly recommend these wonderful midwives!

I love this place. I just moved here from Florida and they have been handling my baby visits and they are very nice. They even remember me and my husbands names. It’s very friendly and professional.

Love these ladies. I’ve been going there for years. They really take the time to make you feel welcome.

Made an appointment in person 3 – 4 weeks in advance for a new IUD. Specifically spoke with the receptionist and a med assistant to discuss authorization. She advised a preauth was required for a new IUD. Preauth takes 24 hours so booking several weeks out was ideal, she said. Gave her all my insurance info, etc. Plenty of time to get it worked through. It was also ideal bc my work schedule is out of control and I office one hour away from this practice. I rescheduled meetings to make this appointment…
Had to take a half day off, arrived early to fill out all paperwork, etc. Advised upon being seated in exam room that they failed to get the preauth and I would have to make another appointment. Ha– absolutely absurd! They apologized and admitted error, but apologies do little if you are a busy professional and/​or a busy mom and under intense pressure. Reschedule? With the incompetents that can’t do BASIC and admittedly quick paperwork?
The intentionality of planning, talking to the MA, and my time was completely wasted. The least they could have done was to call me ahead and rescheduled– not force me to drive there take time off, etc. Basic courtesy. But they didn’t even bother to do that.
It does not matter how good your provider is (or might be) — if the lower level staff fail to perform, well, the entire practice will suffer and patient experience will be poor. Office culture will suffer. Ultimately, patient care suffers. I will not return.

Doctor Lewkowski is friendly, thorough and enjoyable to see. The office is convenient to visit, with no parking issues.
My only comment was the phone tag. But it was resolved. I felt like she cared about me and would work hard to find solutions and give her best care.

I had an awful experience this morning at this clinic.
I had an appointment at 8 am for my first prenatal visit. I got there and my last name was spelled wrong on all of the papers, even though I spelled it for the girl on the phone when I made the appointment.
I was called back for an ultrasound and the woman did not introduce herself to me, she didn’t really even speak to me except to ask me if I had been pregnant before, and when I said «no» she looked surprised and asked me again if I had ever been pregnant. I was excited to hear the baby’s heartbeat for the first time yet she did not have the microphone on so I didn’t hear it.
After the ultrasound I was lead back to the waiting room to wait to see the nurse practitioner. After about 15 minutes the girl behind the counter told me my appointment wasn’t until 9:45. I apparently was not told that the ultrasound and the doctor’s visit was two separate appointments and they were an hour and 45 minutes apart. That is a big deal when you are trying to plan your day.
I came back at 9:45 and was seen by the NP, who also did not introduce herself to me. I couldn’t even tell you her name. She was nice, but she made me feel like I was taking up her time. She did not tell me if any of the reports from the ultrasound were normal, I had to ask. She did not tell me the size of the baby, the heartbeat, nothing.
At the end of the appointment she opened the door and said, «congratulations» and I said, «Oh wait, are done? I have some questions.» She did come back in, but it was very obvious that I was taking up her time and she just wanted me out.
I would not recommend this clinic to anyone. Absolutely horrible experience.

I go the Lakewood office (which is almost 60 minutes away from my home), and I happily do it every year! Dr. Panter is worth the wait! She makes me feel as though I am her only patient — taking all the time I need to explain in as much detail as I want answers to my questions. The staff is VERY friendly and helpful and concerned. I just can’t say enough wonderful things about this office (except that I wish it were closer to my home)!

I was recently under the care of Dr. Moss for my pregnancy & delivery (I also saw two other docs at this office for brief check up appts). While selecting a doctor, because I am considered «high-​risk», I wanted to make sure that I would be taken extra-​care of, and my concerns would not be written off, but I would be listened to & every extra precaution would be taken during my pregnancy. I received better care than I ever could have asked for. Dr. Moss was always very thorough during my exams, talked about every test, every result, every option in detail. I never felt as though I was pulling teeth to get answers. He spent as much time in the room with me as needed until the appointment was complete, every question answered. I never EVER felt as though he didn’t have time or I was being rushed. He read my entire chart and history every visit, so that there was no stone un-​turned or bit of info missed from his care.
The ultrasound techs were personable & thorough.
Nurses/​MA staff are friendly and do their jobs quickly.
The office staff were courteous & available.
Scheduling was always a breeze & there were usually plenty of available slots to choose from.
After hours call center was EASY & the doctor called back within a few short minutes.
The office is right next to Swedish Medical Center, so the doctors are able to check in on labor and delivery patients without delay.
The office, waiting room, exam rooms & restrooms are clean & orderly.
There is complimentary valet parking… a HUGE plus for pregnant ladies!
I will continue my routine OB-​GYN care here.
