Howards Restaurant

This place is horrible. The waitress we had was overwhelmed with way to many customers. It took 20 minutes just to get drinks. Then she kept saying she would be back to get out order. This place is too expensive and you feel like your in a Piccadilly or cafeteria. We ended up just paying for our drinks and leaving. If I am going to pay $ 20 plus dollars for each person I would expect better service. There were other wait staff that were just hanging out doing nothing. Seems to me that the manager should have recognized the poor lady we had had too many people to take care of. The place wasn’t that busy either. I felt bad for our waitress.

Loved our night at Howard’s! Got their all you can eat fish fry and my son got their full rack of ribs. He said they were the best ribs he’d ever had. Fish was incredibly good and super filling for $ 15. Service was really good and even gave us tourist advice, since we were first timers visiting the area.

Bar is great, food is great. The restaurant is clean and inviting, menu is diverse but not overwhelming, bar choices are not lacking. One of my favorite places.

Good clean restaurant, atmosphere is neutral. reminded me of cafeteria seating with service.
The bar service is excellent, bar tenders very attentive and anxious to please. Menu was well varied. Everyone in our party found something they enjoyed, I had the fish and chips which was ok, I also had the salad bar which was pretty good even though the plates were really small.
The restaurant provides excellent value for what you get, reasonable food and drink that doesn’t break the bank

Another gem in the area! We were greeted and seated by an incredibly friendly hostess. The restaurant was super clean with a very unique atmosphere. Our waitress was super nice and service was Awesome! The drink menu was fun, salad bar was extremely nice and fresh and my meal was phenomenal at a reasonable price! Thank you for a very enjoyable dinner!

We had a fantastic lunch today at Howards Restaurant. Our Server was JJ EXCELLENT waitress. Our food was delicious my husband had a pastrami he said it was one of the best one made with homemade chips. I had the salad bar which included potato salad which is made like I make it with their ¼ lb cheeseburger for my entrée cooked to perfection! Of course we will be returning once again we find the people inviting and make you feel at home.

Great service at the bar. Nice fresh salad bar. Lobster tail cooked just right. Good wings. Good Burgers as well. Prices are acceptable, could be a few dollars less. Very good soup, I must say. Somebody is paying attention.

Excellent food and great service! There fish and chips are excellent and their patty melt was for sure a melt in your mouth delight! Will be back for their haddock fish fry on Wednesday! And I hear their lasagna is excellent!

Salad bar was well stocked. We were greeted by a friendly and competent hostess last Friday around 4 PM who showed us a table being served by Bethany
Bethany seemed well versed in the menu and bar offerings and did a great job
We had ribs and Mahi
Mahi was good, ribs seemed a little old or warmed up

My first time to Howard’s. I thought the inside looked nice/​new, yet the restaurant has a Panera/​Sweet Tomatoes look to it. Everyone was very nice. I didn’t have the salad bar, yet it looked pretty tasty. I had the Chopped Steak with onions, and it was AWESOME!!! It was like mixing a delicious burger patty, and a perfect meatloaf. I’d highly recommend it. I don’t live in E-​Wood, but if I make it back to Howard’s, I know what I’ll be ordering.

Great place, really good food. Very friendly staff, especially the hostess.
Try the Calamari appetizer, it is very good.
Crab stuffed lobster tail is excellent.
I’ll be back as often as I can living in Chicago.

Howards is a great restaurant. The food is good. The staff is friendly. I especially like the fish dishes. The albacore tuna is outstanding. My husband favorite is eggplant parmigiana.
The prices are good. The portions are very generous.
The restaurant décor is great. Large bar with bar menu available.

I think the big attraction here is the social bar atmosphere, as when I came in, the dining room was empty. Big salad bar, but not something for me, as many options are already mixed. Lettuce was watery (puddle in my plate when finished). Service was good. There is a frosted strip around the bar and in front of customers to keep their drinks cold. Not super effective, I’d rather have more ice IN my drink. Coconut shrimp appetizer was very good.

Convenient location, plenty of parking, clean establishment, good food and nice staff. They have a good selection on their menu and their salad bar is impressive. It’s loaded with pasta salads! Very tasty fries and loved the steak sandwich.

Great meal, good service. Have a great salad bar especially liked the broccoli slaw. Had the Atlantic cod with mango salsa. Cod was fat and flakey perfectly seasoned. Came with rice which was surprisingly good and broccoli that was also seasoned well. My father had the seafood bisque. It was above average. Also had a couple of their sweet tart tini. Nice little cocktail. My only complaint? And it seems to be common here I. Englewood, is water served in plastic glasses. What is with that?

Spectacular! Lynn and I were out for a late dinner after a loooong day. We just wanted some decent food and a fun, upbeat atmosphere. Well, we found it at Howard’s!
It was our first time eating here although we had seen a full parking lot every day for 2 weeks. Now we know why! Food was delicious, salad bar was creative and also delicious, (including gluten free) and the service was a 10!
Danny was our waiter and made us feel welcome and well taken care of. We will Definitely return to Howard’s! Wednesday nite is $ 10 off a bottle of wine night too, so we had a feast and the bill was just $ 50.
Ask about the new and beautiful Private Room for special occasions. It’s quite spectacular! We ate at the high-​top booths by the bar and loved watching all the activity around Howard’s.

I like Howards new restaurant for sure! It’s turned very modern inside. And TADA!!! It’s also home to Englewoods first ice bar! Wohoo! I like it alot!
The food was prepared very good as well! The salad bar has many unique twists to cold salads and all are very tasty with the exception of the German salad (very bland) to me! All the others however are awesome! The salad bar is included if you order an entrée so do yourself a favor, grab 2 plates and try them all out!
Ok main course ribs. Wow! So tender I didn’t even have to pick up the ribs! The meat just slid right off the bone so easily! So tasty and sauced just right! Great job by the kitchen crew! Someone actually knows how’s to prep ribs and by that I mean (meat falls off the bone) these can easily be overcooked and the meat very tough! I should also note the sides tasted great as well! And the dish presentation excellent!
The staff here is very friendly and sociable as well!
I’ll be back at Howards again for sure! Great job so far guys at the new location!

My first time at their new location — 70 N Indiana Ave (aka Route 776), Englewood, FL 44 223 (941.473.0171). The 12^th time for my friend at their new location!
The food was very good, one of the people in our party had the stuffed lobster tail and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our waitress was wonderful and cheerful! Seeing someone so happy and attentive made us all smile.
