I have been living in this house for 45 years and have been signed up with Home Smart since they first came into existence. Can’t recall the year!
Art C has been servicing my Heating and Air Conditioning System for many of these years. He is a very smart and very thorough individual.
He is also tenacious! When he encounters a problem he sticks with it until he solves it using all available resources… manufacturers, website, and etc.
I am extremely satisfied with both Home Smart and Art C!

Steve, Jared, James and Berto did an outstanding job installing our HVAC system with AC and a new water heater. They arrived on time, worked efficiently and seemed to have everything planned out in advance. It was a very smooth process and a great value for the products installed. We’ve been with the Homesmart program for years now. It seems like it’s getting more streamlined and better with age. Daniel was quick to process my request and get my appointment booked in a timely manner. We also had a washer repaired recently. Our pump went out. It was replaced quickly and I felt comfortable with our repair person assigned.

The service I received from Art, Jarrid and James was excellent And so much more than I expected. I am overly pleased with the work that was done. We thought we would be able to the job ourselves but after all the work they did, there’s absolutely no way we would have been able to do an excellent thorough job like they did. I would definitely recommend their service it was awesome and I’m so glad I have homesmart from xcel energy. Thank you guys once again!

I called to cancel 3 accounts since the properties sold. I am happy with the other accounts I have with Home Smart.

I have a kitchenaid side by side refrigerator model # kscs25fkss01 that will not dispense ice. Technician ‘Troy’ came out and determined that the control board part number 4 389 211 was bad. Reported that the board was no longer available. Troy left saying that the unit is not repairable. A quick search on internet found a oem (original equipment manufactured) item available from

) I spoke with a supervisor at xcel energy Mr. Michael Thomas. He said initially that xcel would not cover the part but after sending him a link to the site that I could buy the part and xcel would not warrant the oem part and that xcel would reimburse me for said item. Mr Thomas has not confirmed the verbal offer via email and I have received a letter from homesmart saying that coverage would no longer be provided on the refrigerator.
At this time I am not satisfied with xcel energy homesmart and believe it to be a potential fraud. I will repost results if different when and if xcel does something.

Michael T at Home Smart was absolutely wonderful in helping me resolve my account. I have had Home Smart since 2001 and have LOVED IT, because, being a single woman, I had no clue on replacing and repairing appliances. With Home Smart I replaced or repaired my air conditioner, my humidifier, my furnace, dishwasher, and refrigerator over the last 15 years. When I moved to a rental home, I didn’t need it anymore. I forgot to cancel the service and 18 months later I received a past due notice from Xcel. Michael T, was able to get one entire year credit back to my account. He went way out of his way to make this happen, and I could not have appreciated it more. Especially since my husband was just laid off of his job. I LOVE THIS SERVICE and have recommended it to many of my friends.

Colin was extremely helpful to me in understanding what was happening with my furnace, water heater, and the code issues I was likely to face when replacing them. He patiently and thoroughly answered every question I asked, and went so far as to get the code book from his van to show me the exact section that was relevant to my situation. Colin’s forewarning about what I was going to face wound up saving me a bunch of headaches with the permit inspection that followed. Colin really did me a solid with that service call, and I enthusiastically recommend him to others with furnace, hot water heater, or related code issues.

James V, Steven and Bryan D were very professional. Made sure my home was perfectly protected while installing the Hot Water Heater. They all worked together well. Fast, friendly and efficient.

These people are a nightmare to work with I would steer clear of them left my parents with a broken fridge for over two weeks. The guy Larry who handles I think everything is a jerk he seems to be to high on his high horse never ever again run run from these people

We had AC installed by HomeSmart from Xcel, and the team was great. Brad, Bryan and James were on time, did a great job, cleaned up and even fixed some wiring that a previous HVAC company sort of skipped over to make sure we could use the furnace, furnace fan and AC (instead of just the furnace and AC). Totally amazing insurance for service, repair and replacement. The water heater pilot light went out and even though the directions for lighting it were on the tank we were unsuccessful. Called the HomeSmart receptionist who scheduled a technician for the following morning. At 8:30 Jason P. rang the bell for service. Jason presented himself as a true professional. His uniform was clean and pressed topped off by a bright smile. Our four legged children were pleased with his kindness as well. Jason P. Lit the pilot light in record time. While he was completing the job he explained what our future needs might be if the water heater was to fail.

Decided on joining the HomeSmart Program because my dad has been a member for many years and he has always received top-​notch service.
I joined and they had a special where you get three months free and a free furnace and air conditioning check up.
Was very easy to make an appointment and I had to reschedule several times because of jury duty and it was very easy to make the changes. The customer service is superb (very friendly and quick).
On the day of the furnace check, our technician was Randy (so punctual, professional, knowledgeable, friendly and efficient). What a top-​notch technician!
He did a very thorough check of the furnace (he was there for 1 ½ hours). He noticed we had a very small leak and went ahead and replaced the entire pipe. My daughter asked how much it would cost and he said zero, zippo, nada! This would have usually cost around $ 200.
He gave my daughter a very comprehensive report and was very personable throughout the visit.
Will definitely ask for Randy when the weather gets warmer so he can do the air conditioning check up.

I have been using HomeSmart From Xcel Energy to maintain several of my appliances for years now, always with a good result. Today was no different as I had HomeSmart out to service my furnace for winter. The technician, Jason P. was extremely knowledgeable, professional and efficient. He checked everything on a long list of items required for a complete tune-​up and found the need to replace one small part. My furnace is 17 years old but I maintain it well, always having it checked completely each season, likewise with the A/​C. Jason was on time and got right to work and made sure he cleaned up after himself. Again, this was another one of several great experiences with HomeSmart From Xcel Energy. Hats off to Xcel and its staff.

Randy is very knowledgeable and was able to trouble shoot the problem with the AC not turning on. The solution was simple and he helped explain the issue.
