If you’re looking for hacks in law in Joisey, this firm is a great starting point.
These morons started calling me once a week for a $ 40 dollar debt to Border book stores. Yes, the bankrupt and defunct Border book stores. Apparently a musical group I once did some photography work for (that’s what I do, I’m a photographer) somehow owed Border forty bucks for something.
So the moronic skip tracer at Aron, Sadowsky & Marks finds my name associated with this group and starts called me. I explain to said idiot that I’m just a guy who once did a job for them. I don’t know where they are and I don’t frankly care. He tells me that unless I give him contact information, the debt is my problem. I feel certain this is an exact and accurate interpretation of debt collecting law. And yes, that is sarcasm.
Now seriously, assuming you’re a business and you want to pay someone to collect money for you, do you want to use a firm that is this outrageously stupid? If they’re willing to wasting time in a pointless and probably illegal effort as I have outlined, would you want them representing you for anything?
Let me also add that the only thing lower than people who don’t pay up are the scum that make a living trying to collect debts like this. Hey, I’m a small business owner. I hate it when I don’t get paid. But when that happens I don’t call my client’s orthodontist demanding money.
This is just my opinion based on my direct experience with a representative of Aron, Sadowsky & Marks. YMMV. This is not legal advice. I am not an attorney and if I were, I would stop practicing law so that I would not in any way be in the same category as these people. And yes, our shared humanity (such as theirs is) shames me.
Oh, and I want to congratulate partner Iris Sadowsky for winning the National Association of Professional Woman, Woman of the Year award. Obviously a well deserved award and proof that, uh, well, proof that award is a meaningless certificate and you’re pathetic for having that picture on the front page of your web site.
Now, go and find a real law firm.
