Seafood is always fresh! Lines are out the door for the holidays. Love the stuffed shrimp, stuffed mushrooms and any of the fish. I have never been disappointed.

Best fresh seafood around without a doubt. I see a number for reviews for Steve’s as a restaurant, which I don’t consider to be the case. It has great scallops, swordfish, and other fresh seafood which is why I come here. Have had their take-out clams and calamari, which are good as well.

Service is great– seafood is fresh. What more do you want from a seafood shop? But there is more. I ahve been making lobster bisque for years. I got this recipe in my 20’s, and am now– older. It is a really good recipe every year. 3 years ago I went to Steve’s to buy my lobster and he asked what I was making it for. When I told him he advized I put the shells in the broth with the vegetables at the start for extra flavor, and then remove prior to making the bisque creamy. In additon he gave me a tiny container of something I call lobster butter, I have no idea what he calls it, to add extra flavor to the bisque. This made the most amazing bisque ever! My family all noticed the improvement on soemthing already delicious. Since then when I order the lobster I ask they save the shells, and they do. And when I go to pick up I ask for the tiniest bit of the lobster thickener, and am obliged. These folks, besides selling really fresh seafood at resonable prices, are simply nice people too. And that’s why I return often.

The food was ok. However, the employees there are really bad. They don’t know how to deal with customers. I really hate this place because of them and I will not back again. Actually if I wanna eat sea food again, I gonna go to Big Y.

Fish and chips were ok, little pricey for what you got. Big Y is as good with better portions. As with many of my reviews this one loses a star for lousy customer service. I work hard for my money and appreciate businesses that treat me nicely or at least pretend to like their customers. Unfortunately I won’t return due to staff lousy attitude which this time appeared to be the owner of the place.

Steve’s has been around for at least as long as I’ve been coming to the area. I usually stop in every other trip for some freshly cooked seafood. There are only three chairs against a teeny counter for eating in, so I’ll take mine to go and eat in the hotel. This last time I met my friends S & L and ate in. I tried their hot lobster roll, which means lobster in warm butter on a hotdog bun. Small, especially in comparison to the cold beasts that were to come on this trip! Not a lot of lobster either. But cheap at under $ 10. I also tried the whole belly clam dinner — my first taste of whole bellies, and they were ‘good’. Not a lot of variety to this dish, served with fries. I’m glad I tried it, but I won’t need it again from them. L ordered the Cajun Tuna dinner, and I got to watch the woman worker pull a huge piece of the purplest tuna out of the seafood counter and walk it to the back. Oooh, this was going to be good! And it was! An inch thick, bigger than your hand, and perfectly, perfectly seasoned and cooked(still purple in the middle). Served with rice for $ 13. I’d get that! I’m recommending it too. Steady to-go business while we ate in.

I have been here a few times. I am a transplant to the east coast and love seafood. When you go to this place I would say stick to the raw stuff that they cook for you. The stuffed salmon is amazing. so is the stuffed shrimp. The hot lobster roll wasnt so great. My friend go the fishermans platter and it wasnt that good either. So i guess my review is, this place is reasonably priced, the people who work there are nice, the raw food they cook for you is wonderful, the fried food is average.

I struggled to figure out how to review this place. I’ve been a few times now. First off, call ahead with your order for prepared food — my first time(pre-menu at home) it took quite a while and it’s not the best looking place to wait in with no real place to just hang out. They have GIANT baklava and a similar dessert with phyllo and custard that I’m looking forward to trying. Tonight I got the scallops with fries and coleslaw… the coleslaw’s OK — mayo based, the fries are the softer steak variety which I like but if you like crispy, you may not. I got the broiled scallops but they had an unhealthy but tasty stuffing and lots of juices in the container which was great to dip the fries in. Food’s fine — not great but fine. I get a weird vibe when I’m in there… not sure how to explain it — almost like I’m in a different state or country.

This is the best place for fresh seafood North of Hartford. He’s been in business in Enfield for at least 20 years. You can buy the seafood fresh to bring home to cook yourself or they have take out. The take out is amazing. Right now they have hot lobster roll that is to die for. Only draw back is some dinners do not have sides. Check the menu and request the Cole Slaw.
