We knew this place had to be good when there was a 15 person line extending to the parking lot! However, the line went by extremely fast, orders were taken quickly, and the staff was very friendly. I only tried the cake batter ice cream, and it was delicious! Many people were ordering soft serves so I’ll be sure to try that next time.
The menu has lots of variety! Also, very reasonably priced. 2 ice creams for $ 5.

Fast service, despite a long line. I had a medium soft serve twist cone, my son had a large vanilla cone. Generous portion size, great flavor on the chocolate and vanilla. Fluffy texture, which I found pleasantly surprising. Prices were very reasonable. Cones seemed standard, but, were fresh and crisp.

I’ve been coming to Smyth’s for years and love it. I usually go for the small cone with peanut butter dip or a flavor blast with oreo and peanut butter cups, if I’m in an ice cream mood. This is the only place I know of that still does dips and it is amazing! If you’ve never had a dipped cone, I highly recommend it. Flavor blast has a good amount of toppings and you can mix them if you’d like, which I usually do.
They also have slushies and the best Italian ice you’ll ever have. Slushies are flavorful and really cheap. The Italian ice is honestly amazing. They make it themselves and the watermelon is so good. During the summer I go weekly just for the Italian ice.
Overall Smyth’s is delicious and very inexpensive. Definitely my favorite place in the area for a cold treat. The ladies who work there are also really nice and patient, even when they have a large line. Great place!

My favorite ice cream stand in Enfield. The soft serve is very fluffy, and I enjoy that light texture. Hard serve is also very good, especially the cookie dough and chocolate chip. The chocolate peanut butter sundae had the perfect balance of toppings, and the toasted almond is a nice alternative topping to sprinkles. Very fast service and its nice to see the owner on the premises.

Hands down my most favorite place for ice cream (and I have tried A LOT of places)!! Over the years I have probably tried almost everything on the extensive menu and have never been disappointed. My husband and I stop here about once every week or so for a treat and the service is always good, the ice cream delicious and you get a good value for your money. Smyths has been there for what seems like forever and there is a good reason for that!

My wife and my go to for local ice creamy goodness. We’re here about once a week from when they open (End of February /​beginning of March) until they close for the season (Late fall). It’s relatively inexpensive and always satisfying. My standard order fluctuates between milkshake and junior sundae with hot chocolate. My wife either orders a junior flavor blast or junior sundae. There are plenty of hard ice cream options as well as the standard soft serve flavors. She’s a life long resident of Enfield and has never been disappointed and I have been a resident of Enfield for 6 years and echo that.

great small ice cream shop at Enfiled. worth to try their milkshakes & ice-​cream cones. the simple vanilla cone with toasted almonds is my favorite.

Hands down the best ice cream stand I’ve been to around here. They have the best soft serve… so much creamier than other places. Cherry dip is killer (most other places have dip that tastes like plain wax), peanut butter sauce is decadent and they use real whipped cream! Plus, the staff seems to understand that getting ice cream or Italian ice should be a fun experience! Always nice, with fast service and seems like much higher quality ingredients than other stands!

Very good soft serve. Friendly, fast employees. Portions were huge… couldn’t finish! Nice spot to stop after hitting the malls.

THE perfect spot on a summers afternoon or evening to enjoy delicious soft serve ice cream. Ok. so its in a mini mall but its really really good. Their hot fudge sundae is truly delicious. they are never skimpy with the ice cream. the sauce or the whipped cream. My wife loves their caramel syrup. servers are extremely friendly. seem to enjoy their work. prices very reasonable. Place has been here forever and with good reason.

Smyth’s is open! Smyth’s is independently owned, a plus in my book, and the employees are always friendly and accommodating. I always think I’m going to try something new, but, alas, when I’m at the window I find my self ordering the usual Junior Peanut Butter Hot Fudge Sundae. Never disappointing, loaded with both sauces, whipped cream, and nuts. Yum.

I have been a fan of this location although I feel like there is not a lot of ways that you can mess up ice cream. They are cleaner than most, and more size for the money for some items. I feel like their soft serves sets apart but there is not a huge difference in soft serves. The brownies in the brownie sundae are big but i feel like more brownie in a brownie sundae isn’t a deal maker. Service has always been good, possibly the best of any ice cream places I have ever been to.

Some friends introduced us to Smyth’s and we’re so glad they did! I’m a big ice cream fan, and in particular at Smyth’s I have to go with the Butterfinger Mix-in…SO GOOD!

This is the best ice cream in ct. I am always blown away by the quality of their product. I can never eat a lot of ice cream by myself, so smyth’s is perfect for me. They offer a baby cone/​cup option. A must visit if you are in the area
