History

Established in 1992.

In First Person was established in 1992 by its Founder Otilia Arroyo a Certified Court Interpreter and Translator, While coordinating and training Interpreters to serve the Courts and General Litigation fields for Civil and Criminal matters serving State and Federal Courts with Professional Interpreting Services, now having a team of trained interpreters and Translators in over 15 languages.

Business Owner

Otilia Arroyo-​Sterling is a native of Puerto Rico came to the US at the age of 8 to New York where she quickly learned the English language and served as the Interpreter for Family and friends not knowing that being bilingual was an asset for her future Profession.

After 15 years of voluntary work interpreting with the Latino community she proceeded to establish In First Person contracting with Litigation Firms, Insurance Companies and State Courts while training and coordinating Interpreter Services.

In 1997 attended U-​Mass training Course «Introduction to Court Interpretation and Translation» and later was awarded Court Certification from the Consortium for State Courts via the CT Judicial Department.

Otilia Arroyo-​Sterling (In First Interpreting) holds vendor status with MA and CT, continues to contract with Law Firms, State and Federal Courts, Medical Associations and Insurance companies now with a network of interpreters and translators in over 15 languages.
