I came to this place with my small kids on Sunday afternoon. What a disappointment. No donuts making or cider (I guess you have to come here early morning to see them on live). Sure the cinder tastes good but $ 10 for a gallon? Really? The donuts were okay The seating area was SO sad with literally just chairs and tables– looked like a community center in a bad neighborhood. I feel like this place used to be a great place to bring a family but they stopped trying because they can make money anyways. So sad. Go to Applegate Orchard in Owego instead. So much better with half the price.

i used to love this place but i’m kinda over it. the prices are getting too high when there’s other places around here that are pretty much just as good. the make their own cider out of other people’s apples, and while it’s decent cider, Russell’s out in Brackney/​Choconut has been producing way better cider out of their own apples. the donuts here are only good when they’re fresh and have a little bit of crispness to them, and when you’re there on the weekends they amp up production so you may be getting donuts that lose a little bit of that texture, and there’s really not much to the flavor of the donuts. the plain cake donuts at Manni’s on the south side have a better flavor, and i’ve been super impressed with the donuts i’ve been getting lately at Russell’s, i think those may be the best around. Cider Mill still makes really good candy apples, but their cookies and pies are just ok, and the pies definitely aren’t made from scratch. they come in frozen and they just reheat them, so why not just go to a grocery store and buy a frozen pie and heat it up yourself for less money? this is a good place for a visit once or twice per year, but i no longer feel the need to be a regular here.

Whenever I’m back in the tri-​cities area, I always stop by in the fall. The cider press beckons me as does their over priced gallons and donuts.
Yes, their products are expensive. But they are made fresh! As a kid, I loved watching the apples being crushed and the donuts being flipped. And you’ve never truly eaten a candy apple until you’ve had one from the Cider Mill. They even come in blue and purple!
Please stop by and support this local business! I have yet to find fall donuts and cider as good as what you can find here!

Oh, Cider Mill, you beautiful, beautiful place. I get really excited when this place opens up for the season. It means I have to buy as many half gallons of cider possible.
And what’s fill is that they’re always making slightly different batches of cider. There’s a chalk board in the store that lists the types of apples they used in the batch.
Also, I haven’t had an apple cider doughnut in forever, but I remember them being ridiculously good.
In addition, if you walk around the back of the store up the ramp, you can see how they make cider and doughnuts if someone happens to be making it at that time.
Outside of the store, there are pumpkins, apples, and other various fall produce for sale.
Basically, if you’re in the area, you need to stop by and buy something. And then you’ll be hooked.

When I come up here to visit my girlfriends family we will try to remember to make a trip to the Cider Mill.
The Cider is wonderful, the donuts are simple, classic flavors that are very delicious. These are cake batter style donuts, and so damn good.
This time around we picked up a ½ of very berry pie. Really enjoyed the homemade taste and delicious flavor.
Definitely recommend this place to someone visiting the area. Just be careful and don’t stuff yourself too much!

I have been going to the cider mill for years but their ridiculous prices do not match the product they provide…$ 9 for a gallon of cider is more than twice as much as Wegmans cider costs; although the quality and taste of the cider is better than Wegmans, it is certainly not twice as good; and almost $ 9 for a dozen plain donuts??? I used to enjoy their cinnamon donuts but apparently $ 9 a dozen doesnt leave them with the profit to add hardly any cinnamon, so bad I thought they were plain sugar…

I thought I didn’t like apple cider – boy was I wrong. It doesn’t get better or fresher than this! And the doughnuts are so fresh they’re still crispy on the outside. Yes, there are only three flavors on the weekends, but when your PLAIN donut is this good it’s not a problem, LOL. This is fall in upstate!

I’ve been going to the Cider Mill since I was a kid, and even though I don’t live in the area anymore, I make sure to swing by during the fall when I’m in town. It’s actually dinner and a show, as you can go around back to the theater for local productions, the kind that gets you right up in the action. There’s the less literal show as well, when you can go up and watch either cider or donuts being made. The weekend is only the «classic» donuts, powdered sugar, cinnamon, and plain. I’ll admit that I’ve never had any of the non-​classic donuts, but the sugar one, especially fresh (I mean like right off the tray; it is worth noting that you can keep the ones you take home for a few days if you seal them up right away and are careful), is one of the best things I’ve ever consumed and why would I even want anything else. I will agree with a previous Unilocaler that they need to add apple cider donuts to the menu, but honestly, everything else is kinda perfect. Once you get into true apple season, I highly recommend browsing around outside in the bins of different apple varieties.

I live in cleveland, but I always make plans to get candy apples when they are in season, especially the blue and red ones!
They have gone up a little bit in the last few years, but I only have 2 a year so it is okay.

I really missed home my senior year of college, especially the fall foliage that is so unique to the Hudson Valley. Many of my friends were feeling particularly nostalgic that fall so we decided to do something autumnal to lift our spirits. One weekend we went to the Cider Mill-​it came highly recommended by locals everywhere. I had no idea how much it would improve my mood!
I LOVE that you can see the whole cider making process-it’s magical. Even without a tour it’s fun to just walk through and watch the machines at work. I also really enjoyed their extensive list of donuts. The one disappointment was that they did not have apple cider donuts; I mean it’s called the Cider Mill, why not? This is a staple of every farm in the Hudson Valley so I was pretty disappointed. Their other donuts are still very good though-​but start making those cider donuts!
They also have a lot of different varieties of apples that I haven’t seen in many other places so that was cool. It is also very kid friendly. Lots of little ones running around and just in general having a good time! It’s a nice weekend excursion in the fall and a great place to just relax and enjoy the great outdoors as the seasons change.

«It’s like drinking an apple off the tree.» Possibly the best cider and doughnut combo. Traditionally crowded on the weekends. It is really cool to see what combo of apples are used in that days cider. All the cider is fresh. You can actually see it going from apples to cider, and buy that cider. It has to be kept cold since there are no preservatives. On the weekends they just have 3 types of doughnuts… powdered, cinnamon and plain. During the week they have Chocolate, Chocolate Peanut, Vanilla, Coconut, Maple, & Maple Walnut. They also have 6 types of candied apples. You can watch them make the cider and doughnuts. Outside they have pies and crafts and other foods. Before Halloween, they have pumpkins. They also put on plays. I have never attended a play, but I heard they are very good.
Drink it cold… drink it hot. Perfect at any temp.
If you are reading this because you are in the area, please do not miss it.

The donuts are unbeatable, the people are friendly and helpful, and with the selection of apples they would have to be; there are so many that it would be hard to find your way around the different types without help from the staff. The only thing that gives me pause is that both the cider, and the strawberry-​rhubarb pie I got there, were VERY sweet, with the cider almost tasting like apple juice and the pie losing a lot of the tart quality that makes that particular variety great. But it would be five stars if I’d gone in knowing that about the recipes!

You watch them wash, mash and boil the apple cider. And their apples are fresh! They take non rotten apples to make the cider! (Which is probably why the cider tastes so great).
You get to watch them press pristine apples into frothy sugary liquid, and eat the donuts out of the deep fryer. Its like a child’s dream at the end of the tour. Candied apples, donuts of all kinds, sweet sweet cider, and frisbee sized cookies!
We bought a dozen donuts. And half a gallon of their apple cider.
Their apple cider is refreshing and opened my eyes to a whole new world! Apple cider never tasted so good.

If you love Apples, Cider and fresh homemade Donuts then the Cider Mill in Endicott, NY is the place to go. I grew up in the area and every fall time I use to go there and get Candy Apples and freshly squeezed Apple Cider. They have 6 different flavors of candy apples, Blueberry, Grape, and Cherry are some examples. My favorite was the Blueberry !! They also made fresh Donuts daily. I loved just the plain flavor. On Halloween night, the Cider Mill would give out free Candy Apples to trick or treaters who showed up in costume. It was lot’s of fun !! Prices are reasonable. However the only down fall for Cider Mill fans is that it is open seasonally, in the Fall. The rest of the year it is used as a theater for plays. But in early September it’s back to pressing Apples and powdering sugar on the Donuts. I was back in Endicott this past fall and of course I had to stop in a but a variety of Candy Apples to go. This is a historical place for those who grew up in the area. I highly recommend the Cider Mill or anyone who wants to experience a taste of Fall.

I’m not sure how long the Cider Mill has been around, but it seems like I remember that big red barn having been there my whole life. It truly is an Endicott landmark. I am usually there on their opening day in August every season.
It’s all about the donuts!
The plain are my personal favorite… crunchy on the outside and at their absolute best when they are still hot! During the week they also have frosted donuts. While I think they use the leftover day-​olds for these, the maple frosted are my second favorite and I typically cannot pass them up.
Yes, they also have good cider, too.
and…pies, candied apples, cheese, apples of umpteen different varieties, cookies, seasonal décor… mums, gourds, pumpkins, etc… If you have kids it’s fun to time your visit when they are pressing cider and making donuts.
AND…if you ever get the chance to see a show in the playhouse… they’re always great.

Autumn really begins in the Southern Tier with a visit to the Cider Mill. Frolic amongst the pumpkins, watch the cider being pressed, and witness cider doughnuts being kneaded, cut, and fried seconds before you stuff them in your face!
Outside: apples of almost every variety imaginable, pumpkins in various sizes, and other assorted gourds.
Inside the huge barnlike structure: huge hunks of cheddar cheese, fresh pressed apple cider in every size from pint to gallon, colorful candy apples (which I avoid as the flavors are too artificial– I’d rather an old fashioned caramel apple) and my personal favorite, the cider doughnuts. Doughnuts are available in powder, cinnamon, and plain, and while they are best consumed before even leaving the premises, kept in a paper bag they will keep for a few days. I will neither confirm nor disconfirm scooping up sugar and cinnamon from the bottom of the bag and shoving it in my mouth. Cookies are also available, more stunning in size than taste– literally the size of dinner plates!
I love the Cider Mill and young and old alike in the Binghamton area can be found here on a fall day enjoying the treats! No foliage, but those doughnuts…

I love to go to the Cider Mill! I have been going there every fall for as long as I can remember.
The second you open the door blown away with the aroma of freshly pressed cider and donuts. The aroma is heavenly! I suggest getting a gallon of cider and some cinnamon donuts this is my favorite combo.
The Cider Mill is not only known for their cider and donuts but, their tasty candied apples. The candied apples come in too many flavors to count and one bite will make you feel like a kid again. My two favorite flavors are cinnamon and raspberry.
If you call the Cider Mill ahead of time you can ask them what time they will be pressing cider. It’s a neat thing for the kids to see. When combined with a trip to Jackson’s Pumpkin Farm. It is a great outing for the kids. It will be a memory that they won’t forget soon. Make it a family tradition.
