I went for a facial let’s just say it was more of h2o and rub with a towel. It was her first day back from work from years and no knowledge of anything. I’d rather go. Sephora and get a face mask than that facial. Never again

So, after emailing Zone Spa about the fact that we were ripped off and did not receive the full value of the services we paid for, I never got an email back, an offer to credit us the balance of the time if we were to come back. I received a thank you from Tamara who said sorry about my friend not getting what we paid for. They try to sign you up for a massage club while you are there. I would not trust that they would give me the full value of that either. Clearly, this establishment does not care about their reputation or their clients. Again, Tamara was fine but if this is the way they operate, I can find a therapist who is just as good and where I feel that they would not short-​change me.

In the last week of August 2011, my wife got a «Rub Club» membership (basically 2 massages a month for $ 80). Her credit card was billed the day after she got the membership (Aug. 22) and billed again on the 12^th day of Sept. She and I called the office several times to find out about their billing cycles, but the receptionists kept telling us that billing questions were not their area of expertise — that Dr. Stein could answer our questions. Over 10 calls were made trying to get a hold of Dr. Stein in just one day.
Also, I tried to set an appointment for myself using one of my wife’s «Rub Club» sessions, but I was rudely told by the receptionist that I was wrong to think that I could use one of my wife’s «Rub Club» sessions. This after I quoted the brochure verbatim «Massages are non-​transferable (Family may be an exception)». By the way, the day my wife signed up for the membership, one of the massage therapists mentioned that a spouse was allowed once in a while to use the significant other’s sessions.
Dr. Stein finally called the next day, but unfortunately due to bad timing, he was only able to leave a message on my wife’s cell. He said in the message that I could set up an appointment using my wife’s Rub Club membership. He did not address our primary billing question.
So due to the unknowledgeable and rude receptionists, and the evasive and unprofessional attitude towards paying customers, we highly DO NOT recommend this place,

Very disappointed with the Rub Club system and the disingenuous business nature in which Dr. Stein operates. I was told when I signed up that I could cancel anytime, which isn’t the case at all. I tried to cancel and was told I needed 14 days advance notice. The doctor promosed that I wouldn’t be charged the following month, but, low and behold, a deduction came out neverheless. I am so disappointed and feel taken advantage of. There’s much more, but not worth mentioning now. I just want my money back.

I got 2 coupons through livingsocial to try this place out as it was right in between my work and home and thought it would be a good place to stick with as it was a good location. The first time I went I had Tamara. I had the deep tissue massage and it was deep. I’ve had plenty of deep tissue massages, but this one left me sore for more than a couple of days. I also got a weird feeling, she didn’t talk much, she was sick so she kept coughing, and when she did talk she was complaining about how she hadn’t had a day off in a couple of weeks and they just kept her working working working. Afterward when I left the room I couldn’t find her. She was gone and there was nobody else in the office. I wandered toward the front and said «hello» a couple of times, but still nobody was there. Oddly enough I was trying to tip her, but figured since I couldn’t find her or anybody else, oh well.
For my second attempt I thought I’d try someone else, figuring I just didn’t mesh well with Tamara. I called and spoke with Bailey telling her I didn’t want Tamara as we didn’t mesh well so she booked me with Linda. When I got there it was Tamara. I told her I had an appointment with Linda and she said she was the only one there. I told her again that it was supposed to be with Linda, hoping she’d reschedule me or something. She then she asked if I’d ever been there before and that her name was Tamara. I told her yes, I had been there, and I knew who she was, but unfortunately, I had specifically requested to try someone new as she’d given me a massage before. Then she got defensive and kept asking what was wrong with the massage, was telling me that people tell her all the time that «she was the best they’ve ever had,» etc. Honestly, I didn’t want to get into it, I came here to relax, not have a confrontation. I told her it was a personality issue, to which she responded «Wow, what a b*tch you are. Well, you can just leave because I’m the only one here.» No joke. I left and got my money back.
They do offer a «Rub Club» which sounded like a good deal and was one of the only things Tamara did tell me about at my first massage with her. However, after dealing with this place twice, and the second time getting my massage therapists switched than being called a b*tch I’d rather pay more and go some place where I’m treated with a bit of respect.

The first time I arrived the receptionist called someone to let them know I was there and it took a little while for them to get me in a room. I arrived for another massage and no one was at the front desk. I called around for someone and no one was there. I sat down and waited for a little while and then the receptionist called someone to let them know I was there. The last time I went, the massage therapist was 20-​minutes late to my appointment.
First, I had a deep tissue massage with Tamara and it was extremely deep! She did a good job, but was very quiet and didn’t speak much. It was a bit weird that she barely said anything to me before or after the session other than to get undressed and lie down on the table. When I was done Dr. Stein came out and told me about the «Rub Club.» After he described it he was standing there staring at me and kept pushing me to buy. I wanted to think about it for a moment but he was really trying to rush me. I felt very pressured but decided to try it anyway since it was only $ 40/​month prepaid and you can cancel anytime.
The next massage I decided to try Sophia since the previous massage was too deep for me. She was very friendly and inviting and did a good job.
The last massage was with Sophia again and it was just okay this time. This is the one that started about 20 minutes late and then the massage felt a bit rushed.
All-​in-​all, this business is not a professional one, in my opinion. The overall set-​up is strange and the customer service is so-​so. The final straw was that they kept charging my credit card multiple times each month without authorization! For some reason I didn’t notice this right away and that’s my fault for not noticing. They had charged me 9 times in about a 2.5-month span! That is very unprofessional and I immediately cancelled my «Rub Club» and filed claims with my credit card company.
I was really bummed by all of this because I thought I had found the place to get cost-​effective, but quality massages, that I could do every month. It was a definite disappointment.

Not impressed with this place, in fact I had a rather bad and weird experience.
I got a coupon for an hour long herbal therapy massage on buywithme. When I got to the office, there was no one there and a weird phone system you were supposed to use to get in touch with someone. It was all kind of creepy and after waiting 20 minutes the therapist finally came out. She was running late into my appointment because she said her last client got there late. Since none of that was my fault I assumed she would just run late on my appointment as well. She got me on the table at 1:15. When she finished it was 1:50! She cheated me out of 25 minutes, and didn’t even say anything, just ran off like I wouldn’t notice. I know it was a coupon, but you should at least honor the time you are allowed.
If your therapist tries to cheat you, say something!
PS. I’d also like to add that I am a massage therapist myself, and have been for 6 years. I’ve given and received enough massages to know the difference between good and bad service, and after reading over some other reviews I know that my experience was not an isolated incident. This business should pay attention to how they’re customers are responding to their poor service.

I purchased a massage on screaming daily deal and I didn’t expect much as I get massages regularly and my expectation is high. Tamara did an awesome job and hit spots that have never been hit before! She’s awesome and gives a great deep tissue massage!!!

Tamara was awesome… she found spots that relaxed me so much. The people were very friendly and helpful.

Great deal, beautiful office, great staff & the ambiance… priceless. I absolutely had to join the rub club & got a monthly massage & adjustment. Dr. Stein understands real people’s needs & the importance to maintain a balanced lifestyle, ache free.
I love pampering myself, but doing so can become pricey. I’ve tried Thai massages (They offer no spa like experience), Burke Williams (hello, expensive!) & other forty dollar massage spots (I’ll never do that again). Trust me, you’ll love it here. I drive 45 minutes because its worth every mile and every cent spent.
