We help both buyers and sellers regarding single family and multifamily rental properties. Marsia has been an active Realtor since 1989 and Eugene joined her in 1999. Marsia is the legal-​eagle regarding contracts, disclosures and negotiating while Eugene shows properties to buyers around their schedules and handles the marketing of their listings. Marsia is a member of the Southland AOR while Eugene is a member of the CLAW MLS so we cast a wide net, covering from Malibu to Upland and from Santa Clarita Valley through Redondo Beach. We keep in contact with our clients via email and text while being cell phone close too. Our locally-​owned company has 5 locations.

History

Established in 1989.

Marsia started in the industry with Mike Glickman Realty, then with Prudential California Realty. Ten years following with Fred Sands Realtors, Five years with RE/​MAX Grand Central and then working with Pinnacle Estate Properties since August 2005.

Marsia and Eugene are a rarity in today’s business climate in that they believe in giving back to the community. They do this by being involved in both local community and business organizations. For 15 years Marsia ran a local polling place elections. She was a Real Estate Advisory Committee member for LAUSD/​WVOC for 22 years, and spent over 4 years on The Encino Neighborhood Council. The Powers Team was a major sponsor for Emelita School for many years.

The Powers Team sponsors Whedonopolis, Fandom Charities, California Browncoats and SoCalBrowncoats, organizations that raise money for charities through the power of the fandom global community.

All of this and it’s really only words on a screen. The proof is that by doing all of the above The Powers Team has a proven track record of success. They look forward to helping you the same way.

Eugene and Marsia are realtor rock stars! We didn’t know much of anything, really. about buying a home. We knew they were expensive and we knew we wanted 3BR, 2 BA and a great backyard. We didn’t know our price range, the right neighborhood or even which amenities were important to us. Rather than make us feel silly (or not take us seriously), this husband and wife team helped us figure it all out. They hooked us up with a great mortgage person who got us pre-​qualified for a set loan amount, they helped us realize which neighborhoods would have the vibe we were seeking and showed us as many houses and we were willing to see. (Eugene sent us MLS listing, which is the norm-​but he actually prescreened those for us, so the ones he sent were true matches-​not ones just based on the few filters MLS will allow). Marsia guided us through all the legal paper work-​explaining it to us each step of the way and making sure we were comfortable with the process. Now, several months after the sale has been complete-​they have not abandoned at all! In fact, much more the opposite, they have made it clear that we can come to them with anything home-​related: From the phony letters we get from hinky companies to suggestions for craftsman. It’s fantastic knowing we have people who clearly love their job and are so good at it on our side. (And if you’re a Sci-​fi fan you’ll have loads to talk about with too!)

Up our home went for sale. With a wild market these days of Cash buyers, Strict Banks and Squatters, you better have the right team selling your home. It’s not like the old days of puting up a little sign, a family comes along, makes an offer, and house is sold. And trust me, the new uncontrolled squatter issue in the US is no joke. Marcia can sniff out a bad deal before time is waisted, she recognizes a cash offer that is just trying to get your home for much less, and knows how to promte your house to bring in the people whom need a great home. We again sold another home they helped us buy. After tossing away the pesty decietful cash buyers, Marcia hit it hard promoting open houses which then created a bidding war of people whom wanted and deserved a place. Everyone got a good deal. Everything became easy. Everyone was happy. Thats because of an experienced realestate team.

This review is almost a year late. For that I am truly sorry. When everyone in the mortgage business told me end of 2013 I could not ‘refi’ or that the ‘refi’ was going to get me next to nothing, I called Marsia and Eugene and they hooked me up with a mortgage broker they use and within 6 weeks I refinanced my mortgage. So when I said that they told me they were my friends for life, I meant what I said. They told me this when I first purchased a condo from them February 1997, and again when I purchased a home July 2008, and each and every time I have needed their advice. They are not only experts in their field, they are thoughtful, caring people, who cherish their clients and treat us like family. I only wish I had a bunch of people to send to them right now.

They have still been there for us in panicky moments, been accessible with answering questions, and tirelessly worked through many options for us after the short sale of our home. This team is a real team. Marsia and Eugene powers are the best agents I have ever seen. I met Marsia first time in an open house after my arrogant agent stopped showing me more properties. After a while I sent her an email and asked if I could see some properties. In less than four hours Eugene showed 3 of 5 to us. Amazingly fast and professional. Ask anything technical from Eugene. He knows everything.
My current residence has bought by them. I can’t believe how many times I had requested to see the property and never heard NO from them. They both are super honest, reliable and helpful to the end. Even after you got your keys.
