My absolute favorite bakery. I come here no matter what the occasion(the weekend is a special occasion, right?) He makes the desserts from scratch and you can definitely tell. They feel«home-y» and I would recommend this place to anyone.

Pretty sure it’s an ethnic Persian bakery and not a French bakery, but they do have some French baked goods like eclairs. No croissants or loafs of bread or anything. Inaccurate store name aside, the eclairs and cream puffs are pretty good(not too sweet). Haven’t had anything else so far but I’m planning on trying some of their cakes at some point.

Parking is weird(when you get here you’ll see what I mean), but they do have their own lot, underground, which is easier than finding and paying for street parking. This is, literally, my only complaint… weird parking. Everything they make is delicious. Cookies, pastries, cakes… a trifecta of indulgence. The older guy there, who will likely take your order if you call on the phone, is the most easy going person I’ve ever met. You want a cake with whipped cream, strawberries and chocolate shavings and eclairs on top, to be picked up in a couple hours… sure, no problem. This is the go to place for special cakes. The quality is so damned high, it’s almost unfair to their competition. And the eclairs… for the love of God, if you don’t come here for any other item, just come here to try and éclair

Their bakery is delicious however make sure to ask how much items are before you place your order. At first the lady I believe she was afghan said it would be $ 24 then said its $ 32 because of the weight of the cream of the cream puffs although in the last $ 3 a piece. She said if you buy one or two then it’s at $ 3 a piece more than that it is by weight which makes no sense especially because I had other things not just the cream puffs. If I wasn’t in a rush I would have left and gone somewhere else!!! Total bait and switch, very disappointing !!!

The only place in the valley that I go to for good fresh fruit tarts. No one else in Ventura provides the quality that this cute little bakery does. They clearly don’t overproduce so nothing you have here will ever be stale but be warned sometimes they run out especially on weekends. The éclair’s are to die for and humongous as well and we always get some when we stop by. I should probably add that it’s not really an authentic French bakery so be warned. This is the Persian take on French baked goods and in all honesty I could care less when it’s so delicious!

Hidden gem! The parking situation looks odd, but I prefer to just park on the street. The delights are DELIGHTFUL. Fresh. WELLMADE. I buy the assortment of cookies all the time when I go to parties — it’s the perfect hostess gift. I’ve also gotten plenty of pies here for special events. Nice selection, fresh, the price is on par with the rest of this area. The woman who serves you makes everything look so nice in the box. They accept cards too. The shop is always clean and the pastry selection is incredible.

Biting into an éclair & the napoleon took me back to Paris w/the custard & cream flavors. So glad I found this location, hope to go back. BTW I was lucky to snag their last cake of the day which was delicious for my Abuelita’s party; light fluffy cake w/cream puff pastry on top and delicious cream filling throughout everyone was taking seconds at the party! Thanks again

This is the one of the best small bakeries in the valley and by far the best Persian bakery. No idea why they have the logo«French Bakery» above the door, but the large sign that displays all of the business names inside of the Encino Plaza complex actually says they are called«Shirini Sara Bakery» in Farsi. But no where in English do you see this Bakery’s proper name, «Shirini Sara». Anyways, there are more important aspects to a business than just the name. Every single pastry we have tried has been consistently fresh and they don’t overproduce and sell stale pastries. Although they have a wide variety of desserts, my favorite: The Cream Puffs, Roulette, and Fruit Tart are simply amazing. The prices here are very much comparable to the other dozen or so bakeries you will find around Ventura Blvd, but the friendly atmosphere and consistent quality make this place a winner.

Sorry but what is FRENCH at this bakery? I am from France myself and know very well about french bakeries and pastries. I was excited to go and I walked into a place with no baguettes, no croissants, no pains au chocolat, not ONE French pastry or bread. This is truly misleading and this should be called the Israeli/Jewish Bakery and nothing else. So please make everyone a favor and update your business name.

Clouds of cream puffs. If you are lucky, they will have just been baked. At their freshest, they just pipe in the whip cream, ahh, a mouthful of cloud heaven. They have these mini chocolate eclairs which I can’t stop at 1, they are the lightest, fluffiest most delectable dessert. Just the thought of these & my stomach rumble. Their texture of their cookies, which I would describe as exquisite shortbread like, melts away, while the slightly chewy fruit fillings remain. Their fruit tarts, beautiful & inexpensive. The owners are very gracious too. The son told me his dad learned how to create these pastries when they lived in Australia from a French pastry chef.

it’s a small no frills bakery with linzer & shortbread style cookies & also fruit tarts & pastries. I tried a cream puff with a delicious hard honey shell, chocolate covered strawberry & a touch of honey in the cream. I also got a fruit tart with a crumbly buttery nutty thick crust that came with a slice of pear, peach, apple, kiwi & mini grape. stuff comes 6.99 a lbs. so my sweets were very reasonably priced. delicious!

A bakery for lovers of cream puffs. They have an entire cake that tastes like a giant cream puff, and another one, where the décor is alternating cream puffs and chocolate dipped strawberries. They also have good fruit tarts.
