I am Ruben Preuss, a licensed Marriage and Family therapist who practices individual, couples, and family therapy in the San Fernando Valley.

I specialize in relationship problems, parenting issues, pre-​marital counseling, depression, anxiety, and other life stressors and challenges. I strive to assist clients in determining exactly how they would like their lives to change, and then help them get there using strengths and experiences they already have.

I believe that what is occurring in your relationships, work place and community has a great effect on your emotional well-​being. I will collaborate with you in exploring how to increase your life’s satisfaction and how to sustain it.

I am fluent in English and Spanish and specialize in individual, couples and family therapy. I maintain a private practice in Encino, California, and I am available from Mondays through Saturdays.

My therapeutic approach is to provide a safe environment, support, and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.

I am culturally sensitive and lived in South America and Europe before settling in Los Angeles. I spent my early professional career in the entertainment industry and I am experienced with the stress, anxiety, depression and the other collateral damage one can encounter throughout the pursuit of ones «dreams».

I have been married for thirty years and have three children.
