Mitra Mogharabi, DDS

I have been an extremely satisfied patient of Dr. Mogharabi for at least 5 years. I started seeing her on the recommendation of a friend who had dental work from her at UCLA where she teaches. She and her hygienist, Jennifer, are terrific. They are both first-​rate professionals – highly knowledgeable, skilled, thorough, gentle, warm, friendly and personable. I totally trust their judgment and expertise. If they say you need a procedure, then you do. I have never felt like they were trying to «sell me» on anything.
The office is modern and quite comfortable, in case you have to wait a few minutes. And a few minutes is all I have ever had to wait.
If you have any dental fears, go see Dr. Mogharabi and Jennifer. They will put you at ease. While I don’t have children, judging from how supportive and comfortable they make an adult feel, I would bet they are exactly the same with children. Trust me, neither you nor your kids could be in better hands.

In the short time I was here (unfortunately I was not a candidate for groupon) I was very VERY happy with the Dr and staff. To be quite honest she gave me more information within my short visit here than most dentist have! The office setting is very comfortable and over all she was very pleasant! Considering changing my insurance to come back here

I’ve had my teeth cleaned, whitened, x-​rayed, and was refereed to a phenomenal oral surgeon when I needed my wisdom teeth removed. Excellent experience all around.

Great Experience. Clean nice looking pace with friendly staff. Dr Mogharabi was very proffesional explaining to me every single detail of the treatment and the best thing is that their prices are very reasonable and did not feel pushed or pressured to buy any service. Great experience and will definately come back.

I usually don’t like to write bad reviews, but this incident just pissed me off. I had to give some type of a push back for taking ½ day off work and driving down to Encino. Dr. Mogarabi had a teeth cleaning promotion via Groupon. When I showed up for my GROUPON teeth whitening service, they made me filled out a «New Patient Information» form which at the time I didn’t think too much off (Indicated, already had a primary Dentist). After they looked at my new patient information form, they told me that «NO MORE APPOINTMENTS FOR TEETH WHITENING» today. They were only taking appointments for TEETH CLEANING ONLY THAT DAY and I had to re-​schedule for another appointment if I wanted to get the GROUPON teeth whitening. I NEVER HEAR SUCH CRAP!!! To Top it off, Dr. Mogarabli said that she was leaving town and couldn’t stay that day which was 2:00pm in the afternoon, and wouldn’t be coming back into town for another week. I felt like I was getting the run around since I wasn’t going to be her NEW regular patient, since the purpose of the GROUPON promotions were to introduce/​acquire NEW PATIENTS. After all, She not making ANY MONEY on GROUPON TEETH cleaning alone for $ 95. Dr. Mogarabi probably is good dentist, but using poor marketing tactics to acquire new patients… THIS IS JUST PLAIN WRONG!!!

Dr. Mogharabi is excellent. Very detailed, thorough, gentle, patient and pleasant. I had the best cleaning I have ever had in years. She took her time and the results were exceptional. I’m looking forward to my next visit to replace a crown which my previous dentist failed to recognize the need for. She goes beyond the basics and routine and explains the issues, reasons and options. It’s hard to find a great dentist and I’m grateful that I found her.

I hadn’t been to a dentist for years and years because of personal reasons… I only happened upon this because of a Groupon-​my expectations were extremely low, and I’m thrilled to say that the visit went sky-​high over & above my expectations from beginning to end-​I can’t recommend Dr. Mogharabi and her assistant Jen any higher…
A note to“Narineh” who complained about service-​the x-​rays ARE included in the Groupon deal, so it’s not very nice for you to accuse the staff of not understanding their own Groupon-it’s clearly you that does not understand. You should know your own teeth well enough to know if they need a cleaning that is likely to go far beyond what a Groupon deal will include, and it’s shoddy of you to say you got «ripped off»…Sapphire whitening ALONE is $ 500-​and so are x-rays-it’s not their fault if you have a horrible mouth and then stupidly pass up on expensive x-​rays. Anyhow…
Yes-​they are VERY distracted. This office clearly needs a receptionist. During my two hour treatment, both Dr. Mogharabi and Jen left my side at least two dozen times to answer the phone, book appointments and take messages. I understand they are only there a few days a week and are trying to economize, but this is not the way. You MUST have a receptionist!!!
However…I forgive them because of the spectacular service. From the moment I walked in they were both so welcoming, warm and kind, and put my fears to rest immediately. The office itself is large, clean and bright, and very professional.
I had a basic cleaning, digital x-​rays and the Sapphire whitening treatment. I’m stunned that I could get all of those expensive services for the price I did-​it was truly a steal. It’s well-​worth three times the value of the Groupon just to have the x-​rays and know how your teeth are doing-​when you don’t have insurance, this can be impossible. And then to add on the Sapphire, which I know costs about $ 500-​amazing.
The cleaning was a basic scaling with x-​rays, polishing and fluoride (I didn;t receive the fluoride because it interferes with the whitening treatment) and was as good or better as any cleaning you can expect to get in Beverly Hills or elsewhere-​thorough and efficient. The x-​rays are digital, which is fantastic, as they are up on the computer screen in front of you immediately, and Dr. Mogharabi goes over every little detail with you.
I had Zoom! before, in 2003, and it was one of the most painful experiences of my life-​and I can handle a lot of pain. I was sure that, while Sapphire gets excellent reviews for being gentle, that it was going to kill me. It didn’t. I virtually felt no sensitivity or pain AT ALL. This is partially due to the fact that they take the time to completely cover your gums with protectant so that not one drop of the bleach can seep into the gumline or any exposed dentin. So professional. I had the treatment done at noon, and around 8pm that evening I started to feel a few «zings» and some minor sensitivity all over, but it was well-​handled by ibuprofen. One thing they didn’t mention that I happen to know-​the pain of teeth bleaching is caused in large part by dehydration… so you would do well to stay as hydrated as you possibly can both before the treatment and the rest of the day.
Are my teeth as white as they were with Zoom? Not nearly. But they’re whiter than the very whitest shade on the dental chart, and I’ll trade that for being sensitivity and pain free-​and if I can say that, anyone can do it!
I wouldn’t expect Groupon prices forever-​at this rate, the Dr. is certainly losing money, though idiots like «Narineh» seem to think she owes them the world for $ 120…but if you have insurance, this is a wonderful dentist to switch to. Beyond being so incredibly caring and sweet, she actually knows what she’s doing, and won’t tell you you need something done if you don’t. As sweet and kind as my former Beverly Hills dentist was, I always suspected they charged me for a TON of restorative work that I didn’t actually need, and from 2001 – 2003 they insisted that I needed a (very expensive) root canal on my left side. Clearly that was a huge lie, as all these years later I never had any issues with that area, but back then I was trying to save thousands of dollars for the procedure when I was forced to put it off-​and thank goodness. This was Beverly Hills Dental Care on Wilshire, btw…

I went to this place because I had bought a groupon for $ 120 for teeth cleaning & whitening. When I went in the doctor Mitra seemed really distracted. Jennifer her assistant was very thorough and good.
Overall I had a sloppy experience. I don’t think my teeth got whiter even though they used the Sapphire machine for an hour. The teeth cleaning I totally got ripped off… the groupon doesn’t break down different types of cleaning but apparently I had bought a «simple» cleaning and I needed a «deep» one. I said ok but the number she just spewed out like she made it up. She said «$ 150» extra. So for $ 270 total I think I got totally ripped off. Mitra was going to give me X-​rays too and I told her I don’t have time and that that’s not even included in the groupon. She shrugged, clearly not knowing her own info. Anyway, try not to groupon things related to your teeth, my mistake!

She’s ok I guess, but didn’t seem very caring towards me.

I just came after a cleaning and whitening service. The results are amazing! I never expected to see such a serious difference. Affordable price. In my option on they are the best cosmetic dentist in our area. Thank you

This is my second time going to this dentist. I found her on a groupon deal and she did such a great job, I came back a second time. It just so happened I chipped a tooth two days before I came in and she gave me a great and very reasonable price to fix it. Also her teeth cleaning is a pretty standard price. I’d recomend her to anyone.

I booked an appointment with Dr. Mogharabi after finding a groupon with x-​rays, cleaning and whitening and I am so happy that I did! I just moved to LA and neither myself or my fiancé have a dentist here. The dentist did both of our cleanings, not just the exam and my teeth are whiter than even the lightest shade on the shade chart! A month ago I started having tooth pain and went into another LA dentist. They told me it would take $ 12,000 to get it fixed! Dr. Mogharabi examined my xrays and found a small crevasse in my tooth that was not a cavity that she said that she could cover over with a sealant that should keep the sensitivity at bay for 3 figures. I will definitely be back, full price, groupon, whatever! Lovely office staff as well.

had a very pleasant experience with Dr Mogharabi. She seems very nice and highly ethical unlike other dentists I’ve encountered who is only after your money. I will definitely be back next year. I need to change my HMO plan to PPO so I can start going to her clinic.

I got a deal from LifeBooker for teeth whitening, I have never done this before. I was pleasantly greeted by Jennifer at the front desk and she really made me feel at home. Dr Mogharabi came by later and did my cleaning, answered all my questions (on the phone and in person) and was really gentle and patience with me. Thank you for a great experience. I just found my new dentist.

I went to Dr. Mogharabi today for teeth whitening. She and her assistant were extremely pleasant and professional, and made the process as easy and comfortable as possible. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Mogharabi is a fabulous dentist… thorough and very pleasant. My children even go to her and love her — which is saying something because who really wants to go to the dentist. I could not recommend anyone more highly.

Will definitely come back!
A thorough cleaning and check up with Mitra resulted in the discovery of an old composite filling that had cracked and facilitated a cavity. I got a very reasonable offer for a new composite filling, compared to the price my old dentist quoted. I often have difficulty getting anesthetized properly, but the doctor was very knowledgeable and patient, and the work was well done!
Too bad that they are closed some days because she teaches at UCLA’s School of Dentistry, but I don’t mind waiting a day or two for quality dentistry without bogus prices.
Did I mention that they are genuinely friendly?!?

I recently went to Mitra’s office for some dental work that I needed and I have to say that she was just amazing. She welcomed me with a warm smile and positive attitude that made me feel really comfortable and calmed by nerves. She was professional and gentle and I had very minimal discomfort during the appointment. I could tell that she really loves what she does and puts 110% into her work. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great dentist.

Dr. Mogharabi is the best when it comes to oral health and dentistry. Not only has she had the best training, she is also detail oriented in her work, ethical and has a great personality. Her work is perfection. Her staff is wonderful. I highly recommend her!
