I recommend AVOIDING this legal office at all costs. They are uncouth, seem to lack cultural competency, and will literally argue with you about your own history and disease over the phone when they haven’t even met you! It is really weird. I am an advocate within the MS community and so I have worked with and spoken with a number of other attorneys and never experienced anything like this. I used to educate doctors, as well as employees at medical offices on how to work with MS patients and people with cognitive challenges. The woman I spoke with appeared to have zero knowledge of how to do any of this, even though they specialize in working with disabled people. She seemed more interested in proving how right she was… (even though I double-​checked the stuff she was saying about disability credits and she was actually wrong!)… than actually being helpful.
When I tried to quickly explain to her something about an application from 2010, she literally told me that she «didn’t care» about that application and it wasn’t said in a funny or playful way! I told her that if she wanted to work with me as a client then she would have to stop talking down to me like that. She had already cut me off and interrupted me several times. Then she literally told me to have a nice day and hung up on me! I am shocked that a law practice specializing in disability law would be so flipping rude. I am going to make sure the MS Society and all other relevant people in the area know about this. If she were my employee, she would be fired immediately. She has no business working with or for people with disabilities. If she takes issue when someone ASKS FOR ACCOMMODATION then maybe she should go represent employers fighting employees with discrimination claims. That seems like a better fit for her, nasty woman that she was. Sheesh! I cannot believe this firm has someone on their staff. Just know that you have been warned.
With so many other disability firms out there that can treat you well, it seems ludicrous to go to one that is going to beat you up. Life with a disability is hard enough, you don’t need someone who is going to treat you like sh*t!

Entonces ella, literalmente, me dijo que tuviera un buen día y me colgó! Estoy sorprendido de que un despacho de abogados especializado en derecho de discapacidad sería tan voltear grosero. Voy a asegurarse de que la Sociedad de EM y todas las demás personas relevantes en el área sé sobre esto. Si ella fuera mi empleada, ella sería despedido inmediatamente. Ella no tiene nada que trabajan con o para las personas con discapacidad. Si ella está en desacuerdo cuando alguien pide ALOJAMIENTO entonces tal vez debería ir representan empleadores luchan empleados con demandas por discriminación. Con tantas otras empresas de discapacidad por ahí que puede tratarlo así, parece absurdo ir a uno que va a darte una paliza. La vida con una discapacidad es bastante difícil, usted no necesita a alguien que va a tratarte como sh * t!

i would be hesitant to recommend this guy. i had a «phone consultation» but fred was really an ambulance chaser looking for an easy win crash. he didn’t listen to how my life and work had changed since my disability, he didn’t ask how long, he didn’t want medical records or more information about my limitations or tell me how he usually works. he didn’t ask about my medical team and told me that i can find work in telemarketing unless my doctor told me otherwise. he should be ashamed of who he became when he is talking to the people he originally wanted to help when his goal was to help people. .continue searching.
