Dr. Lake is the best. I first saw him years ago to quickly and accurately diagnosis and treat a condition previous doctors completely missed after numerous examinations, tests, and invasive procedures and biopsies. I was beginning to think it was all in my head after previous doctors could find nothing wrong. Dr. Lake was the 3^rd doctor I had seen for the same problem, and the only one to properly diagnose and treat it (in fact, he was able to diagnose me accurately during the first few minutes talking with him, and just confirmed that diagnosis with a physical exam). After being in terrible pain for many months, it was a godsend to have found Dr. Lake.
Dr. Lake has a great sense of humor (I guess the Seinfeld episode about proctologists having the best sense of humor was right!) and always makes me feel at ease. His staff is great too, and I can’t recommend him highly enough. Thanks, Dr. Lake!

Okay — so no one wants to openly admit that they’ve been to a Proctologist because it’s embarrassing to admit that there are some problems «down there.» I get it. But that said, I can’t help but acknowledge the great quality of care that’s at Valley Colorectal Surgeons, specifically Dr. Jeff Lake. Not only is Dr. Lake is incredibly gifted, but very affable and made me feel so comfortable through the process, from diagnosis to surgery. He was never pushy, was open to conservative treatment, and also recommended more aggressive options through surgery. I would recommend my close friends and family to see Dr. Lake if they had a sore bum. Thanks again Dr. Lake!

Dr. Gingold made what would have otherwise been a very embarrassing and awkward experience into a positive one. His attitude as a person and a physician couldn’t have been better. A great mix of professionalism and humor. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him and this practice to other friends and family.

This review is for Doctor Lake — I came to him seeking help after seeing many other doctors. He really seems to care about his patients and makes the akward situation feel not awkward at all. He is comforting, humorous yet professional. He gives you options and check in with you to see where you are at never forcing any decision on you. I have an anal fissure and we are starting with conservative treatment to see if it will work compared to jumping straight into surgery like other doctors push. I’m still under the car of Dr. Lake and I think I finally found the doctor who can make my miserable pain disappear very soon. He’s a family man.

I’ve seen Dr. Gingold (in Dr. Lake’s office) a number of times recently. Just a great guy doing a very awkward job. He made the whole, uhum, experience painless.

Unhappy and shocked how dr Gingold was so tacky and having patient wanting to get minor procedure at his office, I didn’t think $ 20 outstanding balance will prevent patient to get treatment.

Just had my first colonoscopy. It’s like a bar mitzvah for 50 year olds! A right of passage if you will. I, having grown up «over the hill» thought all the best doctors were in Beverly Hills. Being a valley guy now, sometimes it’s just too much effort to get over there. After much research, I decided on meeting Dr. lake and I’m so glad I did. He proved that there is major medical talent in the valley! Professional, courteous and you get the feeling right away when you meet him, he knows his S.H. I. T. ime to move on. No pun intended. Well maybe. Going to see a Dr. Of his speciality for the first time can be embarrassing and a bit scary. Let’s face it. He’s going farther and deeper into the unknown than any Man has gone before! Ok, I like to joke a bit, and yes, I did ask the nurse to pull my finger after the procedure. And yes, I’m a 50 year old father of three, and yes, my wife is the luckiest woman in the world! One more, and yes, I am a man child! All the being said. If your still reading this! Dr Lake is a very nice guy who makes you feel comfortable. He explains the procedure completely. The Surgery center he uses is top notch! The whole experience was top notch. Do yourself a favor. Get screened! Have peace of mind or possibly save your life with early detection. It’s scary, it’s uncomfortable and if you need to do it, see Dr Lake. You’ll be glad you did! Thanks Doc, it was great meeting you!

I was a bit nervous for my first visit to this office. Dr. Lake was referred to me so I trusted the referral and made my appointment. I could not have been more pleased with my experience with Dr. Lake. He made me feel comfortable and was very thorough in our consultation. He explains everything in great detail and gives many options and possible solutions. His demeanor is professional, yet friendly and has great bed side manners. The front office is also very pleasant. I would definitely recommend Dr. Lake to future patients!

My review is for Dr. Gingold; I seriously want to recommend him to anyone who needs a proctologist. My experience as his patient was very good. I was honestly very nervous before my appointment but Dr. Gingold made me feel very comfortable, he was very gentle and friendly. When he gave his diagnostic, he took time to clear my doubts and concerns.

After my fathers heart attack 3 years ago, he developed an anal fissure. He said it was the most painful thing he had ever experienced. Having just had a heart attack, I figured it was serious. We were recommended to Dr Lake where my dad was quickly treated & was back together in no time.
Just a few short months after that I myself developed a fissure. The MOST painful thing ever. It was embarrassing to bring up and made my life miserable. Dr Lake made me feel comfortable, and at ease. He makes the best of a crappy situation with his humor. Don’t get me wrong, he is absolutely professional, polite & well spoken. He was very delicate and told me step by step what he was doing. I was, and still am very happy I was reffered to Dr Lake. I would recommend him to anyone with colorectal issues.

This is my first review on Unilocal,and I am so happy to use it for Dr. Lake. I have suffered with a medical issue in a sensitive area for 25 years and Dr. Lake is the first doctor to successfully help me to the point of complete healing. He knew exactly what to do fix my problem and I am healed after only 5 weeks. I so wish that I had come to Dr. Lake earlier.

This review is for Dr. Gingold, whom I saw today for an exam. Dr. Lake was busy with surgeries all day, so I made an appointment with his associate Dr. Gingold. I called his office in the late morning and was able get an appointment for the afternoon. The receptionist was absolutely warm and friendly. I felt comfortable calling in as a new patient and asking for an appointment that day.
I walked into the office about 30 minutes early and did paperwork. I was called in about 10 minutes later. I spoke with Dr. Gingold about my problem and he was very nice and understanding. He knew exactly what I was going through and walked me through what was going to happen. He also explained possible causes. He was very helpful and understanding and listened to all my questions. Thank you Dr. Gingold!

Nice front office, and Dr Lake was fantastic. Great bedside manner, I felt very comfortable during what would normally be an uncomfortable exam situation.

My experience with Jeffrey Lake was one of embarrassment and insult. I have been to several similar specialists in and around Los Angeles and never have I felt so uncomfortable and disrespected.
Dr. Lake was completely insensitive when examining me. He was forceful, rude, and he cracked jokes throughout the entire visit. I am sure there are people out there who can appreciate levity during an examination — however, Dr. Lake failed to interpret how uncomfortable I was.
This is not a compassionate person. This is a person that has absolutely no ability to listen and therefore can only respond with more pressure, more wisecracks, and a bill at the end that was over the top.
Worst of all, Dr. Lake did not «let up» when I was practically crying out in pain. I left his office feeling abused and in more pain that when I came in.
My suggestion is to stay away.
