Go Green Hydroponics

Wonderful gardening shop– I don’t think such a store could be more comprehensive in terms of technical supplies and knowledge base. The service I received today was spot on!
I told this young man that I was attempting gardening for pretty much the first time, specifically a sapling tomato plant which I had great dreams for but for which I was largely humble about my ability to care. He instructed me to go to Home Depot for a tomato cage and promptly led me to the back of the store for some soil. He threw a pack of soil, ~10 gallons worth, over his shoulder like he was the Santa Clause of do-​it yourself gardening. This is how he gleamed in my eyes anyways. He rung me up and kindly explained that my high hopes for this late tomato plant were likely a bit grandeos but did not dare sink my spirits.
He offered to carry my large bag of soil out to my car– not sure if it was because I’m a lady — I appreciate chivalry plus I was wearing pumps and a nice dress. I told him I had parked behind the wrong building like a putz and was quite far away and in no way expected him to pursue such an adventure with me. He did not so much as blink and my santa clause swung the soil over his shoulder again and led the way out of the store, around the block, and through the next parking lot to my car. I’ll never forget this experience!
Way to go Hydro.

We have always had a great experience with the guys at goGreen. They are the most helpful people we have worked with in this industry. They have gone way beyond the call of duty to help us with our projects. Their prices cannot be beat and the service is amazing.

I’m glad I wandered into Go Green, their prices can’t be beat. Extremely knowledgeable staff will answer any question you might have about any products and the best part is that they OPEN and CLOSE at posted times, no more wasting time driving to a shop that closed because they didn’t feel like working. This place rocks.

I came into this store a few months ago when I needed an item that my hydroponics store didn’t have. The size of the store is deceiving from the outside. I was surprised by the amount of inventory this store had. They have a back entrance which makes it easy to load up. The staff was very informative and helpful when I had questions. Even though it was my first time walking in, the gentleman in the front gave me a bigger discount than the hydroponics store I had been shopping at for years EVER gave me. Considering that this store is right around the corner from where I live, I have become a regular here. I highly recommend you give Go Green a try!

Rudest, most unprofessional business I have had the displeasure of doing business with. I will never recommend this place to anyone. Didn’t have what I was looking for and was way over priced. Save your time and shop online.

I have shopped at many hydroponic stores over the past few years. Recently I began shopping at Go Green. They are professional, have an extensive inventory with virtually anything one might want or need. Most importantly, their pricing is the lowest that I have found and trust me, I have shopped around. Whether you are a novice grower just getting started or an experienced grower, Go Green can cater to your needs and provide you with what you need as well as walk you through any issues, problems or questions you might have.

Deep stock & vast selection! Cool dudes who know their business. See them at least once a month and they have never let me down. Easy parking, check ‘e, out.

I hate to have to do this, but sometimes the truth just needs to be told. Go Green, the store that Unilocalers before me have harped on as A-​Ok and even swell, is not all that it is cracked up to be. Upon first learning of this store’s existence, I too was duped into its spell of awe, and for months now, I have tried to pretend that I like it. However, each visit I have made to this hydroponic wonderland has left me with an overall feeling of dissatisfaction and frankly, a bad taste in my mouth.
Please allow me to paint a picture for those of you who have never visited here. Upon first entering Go Green, one can be swept into awe at all of the possibilities laid before them, and in fact, this store does have a lot of inventory. Upon closer inspection, however, one finds that the shelves are often only stocked with one or two brands and may not even encompass your basic needs. To put it bluntly (no pun intended), for the commercial grower anyway, Go Green most likely isn’t going to have exactly what you are looking for, nor are they going to offer it at a price you want to pay.
Also, don’t expect much in the way of respect, or a frequent customer discount (especially if you have a vagina). The employees of this place are rude and demeaning. In the past, I have asked questions about products, only to receive short answers followed by «is that all?» Several times I have tried to purchase things at this store only to have smaller sizes/beginner’s items offered to me. I have never once indicated that I am a novice, inexperienced, or lacking in knowledge. I’m just trying to buy the things I need in an effective manner. I know this may seem very defensive and angry, but when you have a degree in plant science, a lot of experience, and have devoted most of the hours of your daily life to operating a healthy system, comments and reactions like these can be very hurtful. I have shopped at this store about once a week for the past four months and have yet to gain any respect from these people. I never get a discount either.
(However, when I send one of my employees to get supplies for me –even when they are only 20 – 40 $- he always gets respect and money off at the register). I’m not a big fem-nazi…i just want to be treated as an equal… it is important to remember that most of your idolized fruit bearing plants are FEMALE after all.
It is true that the workers here will load all of your items into your car for free after you purchase them, however, when you are spending way too much on a lot of heavy grow equipment… what do you expect? I don’t know of a place that wouldn’t help you load these items… and if one didn’t I don’t know that I would ever go back.
All this being said, the owner of Go Green is pretty nice and can be very helpful should he feel up to it. He can often be found chillaxing in the little office next to the big door in the back. He has been this place’s only saving grace for me until today, and I’m sure he will be helpful to anyone who calls on him in the future.
He is a swell guy, but his actions alone are just not enough to keep this place alive in my heart.
I feel it is time to bring this excessive rant to a close, and simply hope that the information provided can serve useful to someone in the future. In short, Go Green is good for a quick fix. If you need an emergency item, a nutrient restock, or an uninvolved shopping experience this is your place to go. If you have a small thing going at your house and don’t have much in the way of demands, this place just might fulfill your needs and budget requirements. And, if you have a vagina and fit most men’s preconceived notions of a women’s brain capacity and growing ability, this might also be a place you could find solace. However, if you are seeking a down home friendly neighborhood grow store that treats you with respect and friendship, that doesn’t judge you for asking questions, and always gives you that loyal customer discount, I would suggest you look elsewhere. I know that is what I will be doing.

Talk about feeling at home when you shop. These dudes give you service like no other. I only know of one other place that I think this highly of, normally I walk out of hydro stores feeling like I just bought a computer from a shoe sales man. Not here though, they are very knowledgable about their products, and if they don’t know about it, they tell you so. They have just about everything you need and will special order anything that they don’t have. It usually gets delivered by 2−3pm the next day as long as you place the order before 1pm. They treat regulars very well and have competitive pricing, especially for the area.
They can help you figure out how to maximize your crops whether you’re growing tomatoes, lettuce or peppers. It’s nice to eat your own homegrown produce… and much healthier.
They aren’t lazy either, they load everything into your vehicle for you and won’t except tips to do so… trust me, I have tried. I am a firm believer that great customer service deserves to be recognized and who can’t use an extra couple of bucks right?

Great group of employees who know their stuff! I have had a faulty bulb and ballast each replaced without question and have received amazing customer service every visit. Prices are also typically cheaper than any of their competition in LA, making this store a no-​brainer.
