This review is for the customer service only, I’ve never used this businesses services.
I’m really offended by my first interaction with this company. The woman who answered the phone asked me inappropriate questions about who is on the title of my home, my martial status and if I got ‘permission’ from my husband to authorize work. I just called for a bid. I wasn’t authorizing work and I certainly don’t need permission from ANYBODY to make improvements to MY house. So sexist and unprofessional. I realize that this industry is male dominated but each and every customer should be treated with respect. I’m not even married and I live alone with the title of my house in my name. And YES if you must know, my partner and I discuss all plans for construction. Which is after I draw up the plans and itemize the expenses for him to review WAY before I start calling around for bids. I don’t owe a stranger an explanation to as how I live my life but now you have your answers and not my business.

Called Ron Darmon in for an estimate for an extensive job involving a shower remodeling, tiling from front door to the kitchen, refinishing cabinets and other work. He evaluated the scene, gave an estimate, along with start and end dates on his very first visit. We signed a contract wherein he identified the progress payment dates and amounts. He did not miss a date! He has outstanding people working for him and they seem to take pride in their work, like Ron. He would visit not infrequently to make everything was proper, on target, exchange pleasantries and move on. A few minor issues which popped up were fixed to our complete satisfaction.
It has been over three months since the completion of the project and we don’t have a single complaint. In fact, we are grateful that everything went as well as it it — thanks to Ron’s quiet drive to provide quality work. Next time we ‘ll just call Ron without inviting bid from others.

We just got our kitchen remodeled by CID and me and my husband are very impress with the work done and final results. We are very happy to have chosen CID for this project. I am so pleased with the way CID does business. I dealt with Ron, he made the process so easy. He showed me examples, gave me suggestions that went well together, went over payment plans and the guy just seemed genuine when he spoke about the quality of his company’s work. He made me feel assured that I was getting more than what I was paying to have my bathroom remodeled.
During the job there were a few complications and Ron actually came over to the house to oversee that they were taken care of the right way. That really blew me away, it’s so hard to find someone you trust to do good work. I’m so pleased that I found Ron and CID builders.

Going with CID Builders was a great decision
My wife and I recently underwent a huge kitchen transformation. The job entailed walls being knocked down, ceilings being reshaped, new plumbing etc…
Lets start with the interview process. I feel we interviewed a good amount of contractors in our area, 5 i think… We decided to talk to a variety from independent builder/​owners, design firms, large corporate firms etc… Calling each was a trip within itself. Sometimes we talked to a receptionist that continued to mispronounce our names and even got dates for meetings wrong. When we called Ron with CID he (the owner) answered… FIRST PLUS. Most of the contractors, or assistants, that came to our house to give us a bid would either agree to all of our requests saying, «NO PROBLEM» yes we can knock down this wall and not worry about support. And some of them kept telling me how they wanted to model our kitchen, not listening to our dream… Ron was a very NO BULLSHIT kind of guy. He told us we could knock down walls but be prepared that there may be support beams we would have to leave. It was his realistic expectations mixed with him willing to work with our vision in a very realistic budget was the reason we chose to work with him.
The first day we talked through the design and financing portion. Since this was our first time on such a big project, we had no idea how much it would cost. We had saved an amount we thought would be more than enough and presented with a budget we weren’t expecting. This was the case with all of the bids we received, not just CID’s. They were all within a thousand or 2 of each other. We almost had to push the project another 6 – 9 months, but Ron worked closely with the bank to get us approved in terms that worked for us. This was the 2^nd reason we chose to work with him.
Demolition was very quick and clean. His expert team all were very nice and we got to know a lot of them on a first name basis. They made sure to drape plastic every day, sweep up at the end of every day and made sure our house was livable despite not having kitchen services. We ran into some of those support beam issues we mentioned above. Ron came up with a solution, we redesigned the look while working with Ron came up with a suitable layout that worked for both of us last minute. This change actually now is the focal more interesting part of our kitchen and are THOROUGHLY pleased with this change.
The only issue we really ran into was it took a couple of days for us and CID to come up with a routine and a rhythm with communication and scheduling. But once we established that we were off to the races. And if I were to have changed the process in anyway is to find a way not to choose paint colors without having tile /​backsplash /​counter samples to look at against. It all turned out beautifully in the end, but I would have chosen differently if we had samples to compare against.
The project took a little longer than I expected but was within the time frame that Ron promised us. We could’ve had it done quicker but we wanted to take our times with it and make sure both us and CID were comfortable and not rushed. The final product really reflects this. There was much love and craftsmanship put into the finishing details.
Ron was on site almost every day. If it wasn’t him, then his foreman Feli was. He was equally as professional and committed as Ron was. Ron saw every step all the way through and ensured no detail was over looked. There was even a few details we asked for at the beginning of the project that we failed to remind him of that made its way into the final product. We were really happy to see this.
There were a couple of small issues and things that needed to be addressed after the project ended, but Ron was there. He popped in to make sure all was still good. He does this because the house needs a chance to settle in a bit. He addressed them no problem.
OVERALL EXCEPTIONAL JOB by Ron and his team at CID builders. We will definitely be working with him again!!!

Oren and his team were amazing! My mother remodeled her home after 40 years and Oren made sure to go over every little detail with her to get the house exactly how she wanted it. He asked her all of the right questions to get a total picture of her style and to help her nail down exactly what she wanted. He was also great at being clear about what was not possible within her budget or what was not possible structurally, so he helped her stay on track with her vision.
Oren also made sure to not go over her budget. If there was something that she wanted that was not in the budget, he made sure she was clear on how much more that would cost, and how much longer that would take *before* adding in anything different. His team was professional, on time and polite each time they showed up. And, they managed to finish the project early! Mom was moved back in in no time.
Oren also dealt with me calling him from SF to check in on the job. What contractor allows an over protective daughter to call and ask questions? He handled all of my questions and concerns every time, and he is fantastic and a joy to work with.
I have never met another contractor who took such great care of a client, and while I have had the pleasure of working with some really good contractors, Oren and CID took their work and profession to another level. Between their clear communication, staying on budget, maintaining reasonable expectations and the with the level of professionalism Oren and his team brings, you will not find a better contractor. They are the BEST, and I am so thankful that they took such amazing care of my mom. Thank you Oren and the CID Team!!!

Oren has done 3 jobs for me over the years totalling around $ 100K and I couldn’t be more happy with him. Great quality work and the price has always been very competitive. He’s very easy to work with and offers ideas while still delivering what you want. I highly recommend him.

Ron and his team were great. Very fast from start to finish. Fily was on the on-​sight manager and he made sure everything was completed exactly how we wanted it. On time. Professional. Great work and good people. Our neighbors even commented on how great they cleaned up after they completed the job. I would definitely recommend CID, Ron and Fily to friends, family and anyone looking for a great construction team.

We had repair work in our wall due to damage that was left for years from a leaky roof. The damage was above the entryway between the living room and the dining room. There was rotted, water-​damaged wood, including a support beam. Ron came out on time for the estimate and explained in a very professional way what needed to be done. My wife and I were impressed and signed a contract right away.
On the morning of the day of the work, Ron’s crew came on time and they did an amazing job. They replaced the damaged wood with new Douglas fir preserving the original design of the archway. They drywalled and patched, ready for me to paint. Wall looks like a new house.
We’re so happy that we chose this company.

Could not be more thrilled with our new bathroom!!! Ron/​CID was referred to us by a family member who has had a number of jobs completed by them on her house. We received 3 quotes for the job and chose CID based on the fact that they were both competitive (beat our other top contender by ~20%!) and highly recommended.
I was so impressed with the quality of work and craftsmanship. The CID team was professional, capable and completed the bathroom of our dreams ON TIME and on budget! We had stressed to Ron that we had company coming in from out of town and he made sure the bathroom was done and passed inspection prior to their arrival.
I showed Ron an inspiration board I had put together and CID nailed it (pun intended). The day we signed the contract, he had his carpenter over at our house measuring for the custom work needed and we had a rendering to approve that night.
Highly recommend CID and will definitely look to them again for future projects!

Ron and his team of CID employees/​contractors were great from beginning to end for my ROOFING project!
Ron took the time to visit me multiple times in different cities to explain procedures, show me samples, and offer payment options. He always visited the job site, was courteous, explained things, and even stopped the project to solve an unexpected problem we encountered.
Even after the job was done and he was paid in full, i noticed something that was aesthetically unacceptable, and upon notifying him, he immediately sent a person to address the issue and fix it to my liking.
His prices were great, considering he is not only a licensed GC, but had a roofing license too. The peace of mind was worth paying the premium, even though his prices were very competitive to begin with.
Overall, it was a great experience and it is rare to find a good contractor to work with. Thanks Ron for everything!!!

I have recently done a bathroom job with Ron. I am glad to say that he has done an excellent job. His employees were politle and efficient. The whole process went very smoothly. He even came back a week after the projoct was done to finish installing a custom door we had ordered. He also let’s you customize to your liking which was awesome. I would recommend him to friends and would also work with him again.

Great company. Did my kitchen remodel and installed central A/​C. Will use them again for any other upgrades. Super fair pricing and great quality work!

We’re very happy with the pool that CID Builders built for us last summer. They gave a good price compared to the other builders we got quotes from, and started the work in a matter of weeks.
The crew was very polite and worked very hard and efficient — during Valley summer heat. They did a great job and even put in an extra brick wall (/“flowerbed” — which looks very nice) w/​drains between the property fence and pool, in order to avoid drainage from higher neighbor property into pool. Although not part of project, it was basically a couple days worth of work at no extra cost to us.
Oren was great to work with as project manager; often on-​site and checking the work, and always available to stop by to answer questions etc. They handle all the paperwork/​permits and work with city inspectors re. questions.
We’ve had the pool for 4 months now and only had a minor issue; pieces of the grout between tiles and decking started coming off as the pool settled in the ground. CID builders re-​did the grout using proper materials the week after Oren came by to check it — at no cost and no need to argue.
Great customer service & work!

CID builders did a great job on my shower. They weren’t the cheapest (and not the most expensive), but they definitely gave us a good value. Ron took care of all the permits and set up all the appointments with the inspector. Upon our request, they even had some tiles fabricated through a 3^rd party vendor and Ron never tried to charge us any extra. He was always reachable by phone and answered every question that came up. I am very impressed with their work and would definitely recommend them!

We had a great experience with CID! Our backyard went from a barren all concrete wasteland with a pool, to a lush backyard with a beautiful redwood deck. Sam our point man was helpful, always available, never «nickel and dimed» us, and gave great suggestions. There were always workers on the job, and they made good on every promise. Even after the job was done they are available to answer any questions that may arise. I will absolutely use them again!

Pool was the only thing we didn’t have in our backyard. Well; at least we thought so. After CID started our project building a brand new modern pool, it was so cozy and contemporary looking that we decided to precede and remodel the rest of of our backyard. It’s amazing. :-)
They promised 2 month for the job completion and It was done in 45 days.
