Cho Cho San

Service is way too slow, waited 22 min for 2 rolls of sushi. Management doesn’t really care about their customers, just all about making money as i can see.

Came with my girlfriend first time to this place .
First thing they are busy. Very crowded.
The service is bad. We waited a long time till the waiter arrived .
As for the food, it is really really good. I tried the Galaxy and Island. So good .
I will probably come again but only when they are not too busy

Loving come here to fill my sushi cravings. Their fish and rolls are always on point and just seem to just melt in my mouth. I love their whipped salmon hand rolls! Most amazing creation ever. Would definitely recommend this place to friends and family!

Most amazing sushi place. Go here all the time with my family and their service is impeccable! Sushi is always fresh and on point and the servers and chefs are so friendly! Highly recommended :) try it and you won’t regret it

I have been coming to this place for few years. The service is getting worse and the quality of the food has gone down. What a shame!!!

I’m very disappointed … Cho cho San used to be my favorite… but their attitude and customer service just keeps getting worse and worse… If I go here 5 times a week and order the same thing on the menu they will make it different ⁴⁄₅ and one time they make me something else saying oh I’m sorry I thought this is what you wanted. But I’ve made this other thing on the menu anyways (and me being nice I say it’s ok I’ll eat that since I don’t want to waste it or be mean) (and get charged for the second thing) funny I mean how do u get the same scallop dynamite on the order wrong or different every single time … But my main issue is with delivery and pick up orders… I can understand if things sometimes get messed up in delivery … But picking up? Every single time they make a mistake on the order. Be aware… Last night i ordered a bunch of things and my fiancé went to pick them up and they got the entire order wrong … I ordered rolls with soy paper they gave me seaweed handrolls I asked for side of lemon they gave me side of eel sauce? I asked him to double check my order with them when he gets there since they always make mistakes he asks the person who handed him everything and she told him everything is there and she has checked. He gets home I see everything I call and she said at the bottom of the bag there is a note that we are not responsible for your order being wrong when you take it out of the restaurant … Then why do they give us a closed bag with the note all the way at the bottom and not say anything? Be aware people … If u have to do pick up go over everything one by one as they put it … Next time no matter how busy they are I will make them sit me down on a table open every bag go over a checklist and give them hell with extra everything … I guess doing a pick up should be like that nowadays …

This is our favorite spot in the valley for sushi. They make their own sweet vinegar sauce, which is so good! And the décor is very pretty and clean. Love all the staff, too!

The service is excellent. The waiters are smiling all the time, I feel like a part of a family .
The food arrive very fast like a VIP costumer.
The parking lot is big I always have parking .
The kitchen is very clean, all ingredients are fresh .
I specially like the sea weed salad and salmon egg sushi !!! I can take four orders from this dish :-)

I frequent Dunkin Donuts next door & every time I come here this spot is always packed so I bookmarked it. Finally came w/​some co-​workers to try it out. Got there a little before the rest of my party to get a table. I was seated almost immediately with my perfect & impeccable timing as there was a wait for everyone else that came after me. We had:
poke salad — this was really, really good. It came in a martini glass but I could have easily eaten a cereal bowl full of it.
Halloween roll, yottsu roll & firefly roll — all of the rolls were very good. The Halloween may have been my fav out of all of them. The yottsu roll was cold, crisp & fresh, the firefly was also very good & a bit spicy for my tastebuds but I ate that bad boy anyway!
A nice FULL glass of Chardonnay washed it all down (glass was filled to the tippy top).
There is a huge variety of rolls, sashimi, ramen and other plates to try & our service was great… will def be back!

Good food, cool employees, terrible management.
Our server was real busy and took a bit to get our drinks to the table, I asked an Asian woman for our drinks and she fucking shushed me and walked away. I got up and asked her again and she looked at me like I was really annoying her. She finally brought our drinks and slammed them on our table, getting pink lemonade on my phone’s mic. Thanks for ruining my damn phone woman. Never coming back here ever again. Our waitress apologized profusely while that manager kept looking at our us as if we were a throw on her side.
Not my fault you barely speak English and serve sushi for a living!

I love this place. I live across the street. Every time I walk in, there is always an open table or seats at the bar — never a wait. I will also call in and order for pick up. They are usually exact with ready time. The menu has a great selection and the items are not over priced. I think the prices are just right.
My favs are sashimi combination, spicy tuna crunch and red hot rod roll.
Now go try it.

The Tarzana location is way better. I don’t know if they are understaffed here or what but it took forever to have someone take our order, then another long wait for the food to arrive, then another long wait for the check, and wait for someone to take the check before I just walked up the register myself and handed the card to the first person I saw. Ridiculous.
One of the waitresses disappeared for awhile, leaving one to handle the entire restaurant.
The half rolls are more than half the cost of the whole roll. $ 8 for half roll versus $ 12 for the whole.
The 911 roll was bland and the Red Hot Rod is even worse. There was just no flavor.
Now I see why so many poor reviews for this place. I would pick another location for Cho Cho San next time or just another sushi restaurant that are of abundance on Ventura Blvd. This place just doesn’t measure up.

This place never disappoints me.
This place has a great variety of fancy sushi rolls on the menu and the quality never fails; always fresh and delicious.
Cho cho San is an excellent place to dine any time of the day with friends, family or by yourself. When they are super busy I rather sit by the bar to get fast service.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone and will continue to come here to enjoy high quality of food and great service.

Definitely a pleasant experience.
We were a group of 10 hungry people. I couldn’t keep track of what everyone had… But everything I tasted was on point and well done.
Ozeki Nigori– my favorite unfiltered Sake. Four of us finished 2 bottles with joy.
Black peppered edamame– this was deliciously roasted with garlic and a signature appetizer here. Loved it.
Uni with qual eggs– very fresh and supple.
Spider roll– crunchy and flavorful.
Also consumed with pleasure– yellowtail, spicy tuna, and a bunch of pretty rolls I simply couldn’t remember what they were called (shame! That should never happen with an elite!). I blame it on The Nigori!
Prices are fair. Service staff is friendly. Parking lot is sizable. This place deserves a 4 star.

I loved coming In here on the weekends and today I decided to get some take out instead of dining in and that was a HUGE MISTAKE, they where so stingy on the sushi rolls compared to the ones you get when you dine in I normally can’t eat both my usual roll’s (Marilyn Mon roll, Spicy tuna tempura) in one sitting but I was left with an appetite after eating these «snacks» I shall never come back to this establishment just because I don’t have the time to dine in doesn’t mean I should get less bang for my buck

My husband and my FAVORITE sushi joint! If you want a beautiful experience — decent prices — awesome ambiance — and of course, a wonderful meal — come here!!! The best!
I love their udon soup — salmon slam — green tea — even their salmon is delicious!

The food is good but the workers suck. When you order for pick-​up, dont ask how long itll take, cuz its all a lie. LIARSSSS! LIARSSSSSSSS! I hate LIARSSSSSSSSSS. Im gna type as much as i can till they make my food. It was supposed to take them 35 mins, im now told it will take an additional 20 mins. Are the chefs making the sushi blindfolded with one hand?
Im done! Typing for 20 minutes would be a nice essay.
In short, they lie. Should change their name to Cho Cho LIARSSSSSS!

This is my go to Sushi restaurant every time I’m in L.A. Great atmosphere, attentive service and delicious food.
Appetizer:I recommend trying the Spicy Salmon over a rice cracker. Refreshing and filling!
Sushi: My favorite sushi roll so far has been the Chef’s Albacore. My sister ordered the Marilyn Monroll and it was tasty but a little heavy on the sauces.

I always enjoy my time eating here and being here. Everyone here is accommodating and very well organized.
The sushi is fresh and has an amazing taste. I ordered so many new sushi’s that i never had before and they all tasted great.
I wasn’t much of a fan for raw clams. It hurt my tummy in the end. Other than that, i will still come back because this happens to be one of my fav sushi spots in the west valley.
