Noise in my inbox! Their reps use disposable gmail accounts. How low can you go?

I’ve been using Callbox for the past 10 years and they have consistently provided marketing leads for my design agency. They have a great software tool that keeps them efficient and targeting the right type of clients for my services. Rom Agustin the owner is always coming up with innovative ways to keep up with the quickly changing times through technology. Their team is knowledgeable and always warm and friendly! Writing another review because this company has started email spamming me. Hire these guys if you want a company to generate leads for you by breaking CAN-​SPAM & telemarketing laws. You’ll probably get sued yourself.
You know if they do it for themselves they’re going to do it to you.

We’ve used Callbox for a few years now. I rate them a ⁴⁄₅ for quality of appointments set; however, their consistency and frequency of appointment setting deserves ²⁄₅ as their output has reduced over the past 18 months.

Made the mistake of contacting this guys. They send a lot of spam emails from various aliases. I received the hard sell and made the mistake of giving them my email address for more info. Within a week I was bombarded by spam emails from several Callbox related sources, all offering lead generation.

Callbox is a fraudulent company who is refusing to issue a refund for unused services. I made the mistake of outsourcing my telemarketing efforts to Callbox only to learn afterwards that they are a fraudulent company. Their representative never made the minimum number of calls promised per day. I ended the relationship when I learned completed tasks were falsified within my Salesforce CRM. The result: It cost me $ 10k plus my time to train someone who utterly failed to complete the tasks as contractually obligated. I prepaid for three months service, canceling after the first month. Callbox refused to issue a prorated refund for the remaining two months of unused services.

These assholes will not stop emailing me and I’ve asked MANY TIMES to be removed from their list. These little bastards will even rotate GMail addresses so they can continue to make it past your spam filters after you block them. Very dirty company — I would NEVER trust these guys to call on leads for me.

I wish I could give them a zero. The sales rep who called me, Gary at (888) 658‑4179 was unbelievably rude. As soon as he found out I wasn’t interested in the service, he asks me, «Is that it? Are you done — because I have another important call I have to take from an important customer.» I’ve seen tons of negative reviews of them online, and I almost canceled my appointment based on that, but decided to approach it with an open mind. It’s clear they run a strictly numbers based boiler room operation, and I would be horrified if they called potential customers on my behalf with their horrible attitudes and customer service.
I was originally contacted on LinkedIn by someone named Gladys from one of their subsidiaries, DMA Solutions. I’d been considering lead generation, so I agreed to take the meeting with some conditions. I told her that my tight was tight this week, and that I would take the meeting if she could promise me that whoever contacted me from their company came prepared to answer 5 very specific questions. I gave them to her in the email that you see below, and she promised me that they would have the notes from our call and come prepared. When the phone rang today, I picked up the call and Gary LAUNCHES into a sale. Asks me nothing about me or my business, just basically tells me that for $ 2700/​mo they can make 160 calls per day and schedule X amount of appointments, having no clue what my industry is and what my niche is, hasn’t asked me one question. After listening to him wax on for about 90 seconds, I politely interrupted and said, «May I ask you a question?» He says sure, so I asked him what sales rep referred this meeting to him, and what notes he had on me as a customer. He said that one of their affiliates, Gladys referred him, and he had zero notes on me. At that time, I told him that I was not interested, and took about 90 seconds to explain that I can already see that Callbox representatives make promises just to get a meeting scheduled that they will not fulfill on based on the fact that I told Gladys my time was very time and she gave me a promise, and there are no notes passed along to you. I shared that if this is how they treat customers in their internal prospecting process for their own business, there’s no way I can expect better for how they would treat my customers and they have no investment in my company. As I was finishing up, Gary interrupts and asks me if I’m done, informing me that he has other calls to take with important customers, then hangs up.
I never write Unilocal reviews, I just don’t like taking the time to do it and am not compelled to generally publicly rag on a company after a bad experience. But as a business owner, I just felt compelled to let other business owners know that if you’re considering giving this company your hard earned money — DON’T. It was unbelievable that in a company that is built to create high value leads via telephone, their telephone service and rapport was so negative and so rude. I’ve taken time that I don’t really have this afternoon to write this review, but I just had to do something. Unbelievable.
The email I shared with Gladys is below.
«My time is pretty tight this week Gladys, and I’m looking for some pretty specific things with regard to lead generation. Whoever will be contacting me, please make sure they come prepared to answer the following specific questions:
1)Examples of specific start-​up technology companies like mine who you have worked with that were focused on Hospitality industry, and metrics around what your team produced for them and how they’ve grown since that time. (i.e.- If you say that they were pleased with the result, I would like at least 3 companies you can put me in contact with like mine who have used your service and will vouch for you.)
2)Metrics on how long the average company like mine uses your service, and what results you produce on average for them, and what results they on average produce from the leads you deliver.
3)What process you use to qualify your leads (simply setting up meetings vs setting up meetings with people who have signing authority at the prospect company)
4)What specific results your company can promise, and what happens in your contract if you don’t deliver.
5)Price point, minimum engagement, etc.
I look forward to the meeting, and I am looking for track record plus objective facts and figures about your service. I’ll have about 15 – 20 minutes available. Thanks again.»

Telemarketer at its worst. Hangs up on you if you try to have your number removed., then blocks calls to the number that appears on caller ID (951) 729‑8628. If you have received calls from this company and your number is on the Do Not Call Registry, most likely your number was obtained by them illegally. Any company that refuses transparency and feels it must operate in an anonymous and clandestine manner should not be trusted with your valuable business.
