Absolutely the best. Consistently good, great menu, healthy, fairly priced.

Horrible service. I came in ordered to half salads togo. Waited over 28 minutes for it. when I asked to speak to the manager and expressed my frustration, she claimed she doesn’t know why they are running back. She did not offer a cup of water or anything for the long wait.
I have never seen a salad take more than 28 minutes to prepare. the place wasn’t even full!
I will never go back there and I will definitely not recommend this place to anyone I know. Manager needs to take customer service course!

The broccoli soup the mashed potatoes and the Chinese chicken salad are my go to foods at this place! The prices are a little high but you also get fresh quality food so it’s worth the price for what you get. It’s a hit or miss with food timing, sometimes it can take 5 minutes to get ready and sometimes I’ve waited 25 to 30 minutes so it depends on the times you go because the place does get busy!

service is ridiculous here. I phone in my order ahead for take out and they say it would only take 25 – 30 mins. Got there and still waited a total of 1 hour, only for two wraps and a side order. Food is good here but this place needs more employees, sometimes they are out of chicken as well! Everyone looked so overwhelmed every time I stop by here for take out orders.

WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH THIS PLACE? Now goes through my mind as I sit and wait and have a CLEAR view as workers are scrambling at 6pm to put together orders.
Me, just wanted a salad and mash pot… Ohh no potato, ok how about regular potato, ok.
I sit. I wait. And wait. And wait. Finally someone comes over and whispers they have no potato and can I wait 3 minutes? Sure. I WAIT.
And I observe. No one is getting potato. It is chaos. People are going crazy as its DINNER TIME and there is not one potato to be had.
WHY IS NO ONE WEARING GLOVES FOR FOOD PREP.
Girl comes back over. We have no regular potato, would you like mash? HUH???
Eye roll — just give me whatever you have because I have been sitting here for .30 minutes watching this chaos.
And WHY is there just crusty ass old bottles of bbq and condiments??? So nasty.

First off, I did not know that they had been remodeled. We actually drove past it because the sign was unrecognizable. The inside is quite modern and cute. I like the idea of their décor. They even replaced their dishes and bowls. It was interesting to see the change.
The food is good as always. My friend’s food came out first and a few minutes later a guy, hose name I didn’t catch, informed me that my broccoli soup would bw taking a little bit of time. He had «training» on his apron. He offered to bring me my wrap first because we ordered to go but were eating there. As I ate my wrap, he brought a container of broccoli soup and as an apology for the wait he gave me a pint instead. Great customer service!

Used to be great but now they NEVER pick up the phone for call in orders ;(. Hopefully the management will look into this so they can do better.

There is an emmense violation of food safety codes. Not one employee that is preparing food is wearing gloves. There is also one female employee who’s hair is not contained in a hat or pulled away and is swinging around. Nice new renovations do not hide the safety of food in this location. The food is good, I can’t believe this has gone unnoticed for so long by me. They have a line that goes out of the door. My only complaint is the sanitary requirements. Fix this problem!

I love this place, they have the most delicious rolls and cookies that are homemade. I come here about twice a month and always order the same. I typically order the caesar wrap with some mashed potatoes with a cookie (some tea). My total for that comes about to 12 dollars and some cents.
I come here for lunch only, Ive never been here earlier than 11 AM or later than 6 PM so i would say this is a place for lunch.

Ok so first off I have to say that I LOVE CCC’s food. Delicious, healthy and fresh. But the problem here is the carelessness.
In the past I have ordered salads specifically without certain veggies only to find most of the others missing as well. Who wants to pay 10 $ for a salad that only has lettuce and tomatoes! What about the carrots, avocado and croutons?! I have also been given a moldy pita! Ugh!!!
So tonight I ordered the primavera wrap. I asked for no chicken, mayo or anything else that wasn’t vegan. I even double checked to make sure we had it right and they understood I wanted totally vegan ingredients. But to my dismay, when I arrived at home starving I come to find they put ranch dressing in my wrap! It says right on the website that the ranch is not vegan so why would they put it in a wrap that was supposed to be vegan??? Ughhhh and keep in mind that all of these instances are ordered on the phone so I don’t actually see the food until I’m across the valley in my Burbank home!
The food is delicious CCC, but educate your employees on nutrition and customer service. Especially in the food industry.

I forgot about this place. I used to come here every week. Chicken dishes are very good. I had a 411 salad this time. It was huge and delicious. I will start coming back here. I really like the food and is super healthy.

The salads here are amazing. I had the chicken caeser salad. The salad was plentiful. Lots of chicken, and enough dressing. To much to eat in one sitting. Great service.

Healthy and satisfying! I love their Chinese chicken salad and side order of squash. I honestly eat here once a week. Quality, delicious, healthy and filling food! Their chicken is so juicy and flavorful! Love their new renovation too. The staff is always so friendly but the parking at the back is always so full! During lunch it gets busy that it’s a good idea to call in your order and just pick up.

I stopped in to California Chicken Café in Encino recently and they completely redesigned the restaurant. The food was the same quality and great tasting. The meal was inexpensive and the chicken is always juicy and good. This is a great place to eat with a group of friends family or even solo. I usually call ahead to place my order and walk past the line to pick it up. Parking is a premium here so that’s the only downside.

What’s not to love about CCC? Great chicken served up a variety of ways. I’m a big fan of their caesar wrap on wheat. I love their chicken pasta salad too! The Chinese chicken salad isn’t bad either. Love it here!

TL/​DR It’s basically a fancier version of Boston Market if you are into that.
I’ve been to a couple of CCC but this location is closer to my area.
Can’t complain, it delivers on what it offers, which is delicious rotisserie style chicken. As a transplant to LA I am surprised how many rotisserie chicken places are out as an option for casual dining to fast food. Rotisserie chicken although possible, just never seemed like the most convenient thing to eat on the go to me.
But of course with places ranging from El Pollo Loco, a number of Peruvian places, Zankou, and of course CCC it’s nice to have an alternative to casual dining/​fast food.
And with CCC you get that with the benefit of being a bit more healthy. It’s fairly competitive in price with say a Zankou but where it differs in my opinion is it’s taste and presentation. They all basically offer the same thing in terms of food but CCC just presents it more like homemade American style.
Neither better or worse than the aforementioned chicken joints in terms of taste, this offers to me a more distinct American homemade type of style. Like the type of food you would see in a Norman Rockwell painting. It mixes it up a bit with pita bread, variety of sauces, etc. but to me this place is like a fresher Boston Market. I could totally be wrong on this, but that’s just how it tastes to me and how the restaurants vibe feels to me. It’s more a casual dining place than say the fast food aspect of an El Pollo Loco or Pollo Campero. It really pushes the café aspect in its moniker.
Personally I prefer the more Mediterranean styles of say a Zankou or Peruvian place with the green, yellow, and white sauces, but this place is a nice departure if you want something a bit simpler.
The roast chicken is fresh, juicy, and well seasoned. The side dishes like their mashed potatoes tasted pretty fresh and like what you might get on Thanksgiving.
Not a bad choice for chicken.

Am I in the right place? What the fuck happened in here? I knew they were re-​modeling but really?
I’ve been going to CCC for a long while, the food is good and it’s a healthy option. It has a fairly simple wait in line, order, sit down, we’ll bring you the food style. Before the remodel this used to be open and airy, now with the addition of a divider wall you feel more as if you are cattle being lead to the slaughter, and or waiting to get in to an 80s mall arcade with those grates and cheeseball neon details.
I make my order and reluctantly head to the soda machines, wait, there’s ONLY ONE now there used to be two, what gives? its a serious cluster trying to get to it — No more condiment dispensers, no… now you just have to deal with the disgustingly crusty bottles. I saw one customer open the new kitchen style cabinets looking for a clean bottle of ketchup. Just make yourself at home.
Ok, lets go sit down, looks like the comfy half booths are taken — so we sit on a wooden box, a chair that has been painted white so that you can see every skid mark on it — or how about a stool with a top seemingly made out of a sewer cover. or a ridiculous tall padded bench where your feet dangle down like a child. was it really that bad before? did you feel the need to cut down the occupancy? Is there anyone on earth that would actually like to sit on a wooden box? are you kidding me?
The outside walls and parking lot graffiti look like a print on a pair of pants i had as a child in the 80s. there are half hammocks hanging on the wall and really non descriptive photos that look as if they have been taken by a 14 year old girl with her first camera. what? WHAT?! I can’t hear you over this stupid loud music — I don’t need to be serenaded by bad music to enjoy my chicken wrap. It makes it that much harder to talk to the rest of your party. my favorite touch was that there were a few small succulent plants in pots screwed to the wall, how is this hip? I sincerely hope you didn’t pay this designer that much money.
Speaking of design, why would you waste money printing cups if you cant even see the logo? maybe yellow looked good on the screen of your macbook pro, but in practice maybe… not so much
It was crowded that night, but not as crowded as it has been, our food got delivered in parts spaced just far enough out to be considered a meal course. wrap, 20 minutes later, potatoes, 35 minutes later pasta salad. I heard numerous patrons complaining as well as an employee. our friends who ordered before us didn’t even get their SALAD until after our second «course arrived.
In closing, why mess with a good thing? this place was a solid 4 – 5 star place in my opinion, the food is good, healthy and it fills you up. I’m not giving this place a 1 star because the food is still great! BUT! — whoever was the designer on this project should think about switching careers because its honestly a mess in there. Let your food and service do the taking, the food still talks but I honestly think I’d do take out only from now on.

This places makes excellent rotisserie chicken. Everything is made fresh in-​house. And it’s a pretty good value: 2 piece chicken with a side of salad and broccoli soup (which comes with fresh pita bread too), all for around $ 10! My wallet says thanks! Chicken: juicy and delicious. Broccoli soup: fresh tasting but a little bland for my palette (but I’m assuming because it’s healthy, it supposed to be that way, hehe). Pita: warm and fluffy. Overall 3 stars. Good bite when you’re in a pinch, but nothing I would go out of my way for. PS: Salads are available here too, but they looked like any ordinary salad, nothing special so I passed.

Ok let me explain. California Chicken Café is very good but the only reason why I’m giving it 3 Afros is because it’s very basic. My fiancé loves this place and we go here about twice a week. The only reason why I continue to go is because I would rather pick this up than cook. I do like that this is a healthier option than McDonald’s or Taco Bell but just like those restaurants, you wouldn’t give them a great score either but you continue to go out of convenience.
Usually when we go I get the half chicken, the broccoli pasta and the side salad. A very basic meal but yet a healthy option. The chicken taste like chicken. No special seasoning or anything but maybe just a little salt. The side salad is extremely basic and as normal as can be. The broccoli pasta actually very good! That might of been my favorite item. That was the only thing that made me say, «wow! What sauce did they use» but as for everything else, I could definitely duplicate it at home and we have.
When we’re not having California Chicken Café, I’m picking up cherry tomatoes, a bag of mixed greens, dressing, a precooked chicken and quinoa from Von’s and that’s our version of California Chicken Café at home that takes 10 mins to make and it taste the same lol. Very simple to do at home yet when I don’t want to quickly do that, I’ll spend my 10 mins on social media waiting for CCC to do it for me.
Overall, it’s good but basic and you can easily do it yourself. So I would only recommend as a healthy fast food option.

I can’t believe I have not reviewed this location because I have been coming here for years. They recently remodeled the restaurant and I stopped by today for lunch. The new décor is black and white hipster silver lake look but not bad. On a rainy day those small tiles are very slippery. The food is great and consistent as it always is. ¼ chicken white with vegetable soup and wheat pita… so good. They made the beverage area much smaller with only one machine. I’m sure they have a reason but this place gets busy and there will be a line to get drinks.
I don’t care how they decorate I will continue to come here for the tasty chicken, wraps, soups, potatoes and squash.
