Great place! Simon, the owner, is a dog owner and lover and my Golden always comes back looking fluffy, smelling awesome and a little extra pep in his step. Prices are competitive. The only downside is that there is apparently a different person who cuts the dog hair, and she/​he usually needs a few days advance notice, maybe even a week. Otherwise, I have never had a problem booking a time for Buddy.

So kind and gentle with my elderly dog. Walked right in. Highly recommend this wonderful place.

Wow I brought my dog here and i love it they really care about my dog they washed her sooo clean nails clipped teeth fresh and clean and even the anal area to i would recommend this place to everyone

My two dogs looked great and didn’t seem traumatized as they sometimes can be at the groomer. Prices seem a little high, but I’m new to the neighborhood so maybe that’s just the market. They were nice and threw in the teeth cleaning because we were first time customers.

This is our second time using Bubbles. I have two «hard to handle» shih tzu kiddos. Both times, the dogs have looked great! You guys do a fabulous job and in under 2 hours! I love that my dogs don’t have to spend the entire day in a cage… keep up the good work! We will be back for sure! Freddy and Hoss Cartwright look like the little angels that they are… not! Ha!

Had the most amazing experience at Bubbles! The receptionist was super nice and one groomer does one dog at a time– so you know they are getting the attention they deserve! I brought our 3 schnauzers in for full baths and grooms. Drop off at noon, ready by 1:30. Best hair cuts of their lives! $ 60 each but worth it. Open grooming area so you can see what’s going on. Will definitely be back. Only suggestion I would make is have each groomer talk with pet owners first instead of just one asking what I wanted with the cuts and not taking notes. Great job tho!

I thought I’d written this place a review before, but don’t see it, so maybe I just thought I had! Anyway, Bubbles has been great. We have a high needs dog — he has a bad back and lots of anxiety. Bubbles is always so nice and accommodating to us, and makes him look great, too! So happy to have them in the neighborhood, and it’s convenient that Coffee Bean in right next door. I got some work done while our pup had a spa day.

I took my Chocolate Lab here to give him a self wash. The employees were very friendly. I explained I had not ever taken my dog to a self wash and the employee showed me where the towel and shampoo were and how to operate the wash. As we were speaking, she suddenly picked up my 70 lb dog and put him in the tub which was about 3 feet off the floor. Both my dog and I were caught by surprise. He tried to wiggle out of her arms as she lifted him. It happened so quickly, I could not stop her. I gave him his bath and left. Over the next few weeks, I noticed he was not himself, drinking less water and sometimes not wanting to eat (he is a lab, so this is really concerning). Finally about 2 weeks later, he appeared to be in pain while eating.
I took him to the vet. The vet recommended doing blood work and a urinalysis. As he was doing the physical exam, he discovered my dog was experiencing back pain. I told the vet about the incident at the dog wash. He recommended x-​rays and gave my dog pain medication. My dog began to act more like himself after starting to take the pain medication. Total cost was almost $ 500. His blood work and urinalysis were normal. The x-​ray showed an issue with his back. It has taken almost a month for him to feel better and I cannot be sure without an MRI if permanent damage was done.
I called the manager at Bubbles, Simon, to discuss this with him. He said he would talk to his employees and call me back. He never called me back. After over a week, I called him. He said I should have told the employee not to pick up my dog and it was a self wash, I should not have asked for help. I explained I did not ask for help with my dog and if I had thought she would try to pick up my dog, I absolutely would have told her not to. She should have asked permission to pick up my dog. Who would expect a stranger to try to lift a 70 lb dog? I told him I felt he should file a claim with his insurance to pay for the injury his employee caused to my dog. He said he would not use his insurance for this. He kept repeating that I should not have let her lift my dog. He did not care. It is very surprising for a business owner to not accept accountability when an employee makes such a huge mistake which leads to an injury to a customer’s pet.

Took my golden retriever here for a bath and to have his hair cut. I’ve brought my dog here a few times before, mainly for baths, but I normally take my dog to another doggie spa for his regular grooming. My dog had the standard golden retriever cut that makes him look like a noble golden, but it was growing a little on the longer side. I had a brief chat with the owner, I told him I wanted his hair cut a little shorter than it was. He asked me if I wanted it cut the same as they had done before, which I remember was a little on the short side, but seemed appropriate for the heat, so I said yes. Nothing would have prepared me for what happened. He was completely shaved, except for the head and tail area which was cut poorly, and he cried for hours afterward.
I paid before seeing my dog. When I finally saw him he was completely shaved as short as possible (shorter than a pitbull), except for his head and tail area. He looked as though he had just been shaved for surgery and was only missing the cone of shame. It looked horrible, as golden retrievers should never be shaved like this. It was obviously apparent that this was not what I had requested from the look on my face, I was in such total shock. If someone were requesting to go from a classic breed style cut, to something dramatically shorter, I would think as the owner that you would clarify with certainty the expected results. Obviously this was not done.
The owner asked if this was not what I wanted and I told him I didn’t know they were going to completely shave him. There was nothing they could do really to fix it, but the owner made no attempt to try to rectify the situation as I had already paid before seeing him. In the car ride home my dog was crying, and continued to cry even after we got home, which he never does. I even gave him a treat to try to cheer him up but he still cried loudly as though he was in pain. I examined his body and his joints for any injuries, but only found a couple very minor nicks from being shaved with the razor that I didn’t think would still be causing him pain. I called the owner and told him my dog was crying, and you could hear his loud cries through the phone. I asked if anything had happened but the owner insisted that he was fine. I also spoke with the groomer who cut his hair to see if anything happened, but she also insisted nothing happened. I almost took my dog to the vet to have him examined, but the owner advised me to wait and eventually my dog stopped crying after a couple of hours. I also noticed later after my initial shock that the parts of my dogs hair around his face and tail that were trimmed were cut bluntly straight across instead of at an angle, so it appeared as though they used a razor instead of scissors.
I never had problems the few times before when I came here, and I’m not sure if this was just a new groomer, but needless to say I won’t be coming back ever. Not only was the cut not what I requested, and totally breed inappropriate, but my dog was clearly traumatized, and the cut was done poorly and sloppily.

This place is VERY busy and hard to get an appointment. That being said, after calling for a second time on a different day, they were able to squeeze my Siberian Husky in same day.
It only took about an hour and a half and Thunder cam out looking great and very happy!
The staff seemed friendly, it was very convenient especially as a new customer to quickly drop off and pickup, and the price was very reasonable. I got a courtesy call 10 min before Thunder was ready.

I love this place! They left my dog looking amazing. They even put some cute little bows and a bandana. The way they handled her was great she looked so happy and the service was very fast too! I also noticed that they carry a few brands of premium pet food like orijen which is pretty cool. Definitely will be coming here again with Daisy.

My family and I have been using Bubbles for a few years and this review is long over due! First and foremost this place is incredibly clean and that’s the first thing I look for especially since they are bathing your furry loved ones. Simon (the owner) and each of his staff are very kind and they care for each pet brought into their store. We have grown close to Masumi as she gives the best haircuts to our dogs. She requires appointments so be sure to check her out. The great part of this place is they accept walk-​ins or if you put in a call and they will try their best to fit you in. They will call you as soon as your pooch or feline are ready and they have the cutest accessories to compliment your wash or groom from a scarf, bow or sometimes a colored feather to match my pomeranian! Added bonus! We have never left Bubbles disappointed and have referred all of our family and friends here! My fiancés family drives 40+ miles just to get their dog groomed! Thank you for the great work you provide to our little friends!

Leaving your pet at a grooming shop is stressful. No matter how nice and professional the shop seems, you never really know what goes on when you walk away. At Bubbles (Encino), it is blatantly obvious, your pet is in good hands. Simon, the owner, is always welcoming and attentive. They have a bather named Maria who is far more knowledgeable about skincare and pet behavior than any bather I’ve worked with before. Two of their groomers are from Japan and both turn out dogs that look as if they’re gracing the cover of a grooming magazine — poodles scissored to perfection. I have no fear leaving my pets in the care of Bubbles Pet Spa (Encino). My pets never appear excessively stressed, nor fearful. Definitely give this shop a try… you’ll be very pleased.

The best pet spa ever! This is a hidden gem in Encino. I always make the drive to come here because I know they take extra care of my boxer. They are moderately priced and they are extremely hospitable and friendly! I trust no other groomers with my dog. Also every time I pick up my dog she looks and smells wonderful and her spirit is happy! Thanks bubbles!

This is an amazing pet spa. We have been going here for years and brought all of our dogs here. We currently have Foxy, Pudgy, Frankie, Coco, and Milo. And their cousin Casey who’s my sister’s dog.
Simon is the owner and has taken care of us for years. He is very caring, gentle to our pups, loving, and provides the best customer service. He remembers our names AND our dogs names!
We bring our dogs here for baths often and the staff really knows how to handle them we gentle care. We have never had a problem and never have complaints of the results.
We also bring them for hair cuts, specially our Pomeranians and Lhasa apso. Our favorite groomer is Masumi and she always does a great job. We give specific instructions for the grooming of our pups and she always follows them. An example is our Lhasa apso has very beautiful and long eye lashes, Masumi has always taken care of them and she never cuts them. When we brought our Lhasa in a different grooming place her lashes were cut and we will never again go anywhere else! Lesson learned.
The cleanliness of the establishment is excellent. They are always clean. It is very impressive and we appreciate that.
Long story short, bubbles pet spa is the best and I highly recommend you bring your pups here. We all love our dogs and want what’s best for them, you cannot go wrong with Simon and his staff.

Brought my Yorkies here a month ago and they looked sooooooo cute a little on the pricy side for two liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiittttle dogs though… Omg the nicest owner and so efficient. They did cut the hair on one of my Yorkies too short on her ears that I didn’t like but it’s my bfs fault because I guess he had played it with him when he dropped them off … We will def be back again soon … Like maybe tomorrow haha

I recently moved to the area from NYC and I passed by Bubbles Pet Spa and loved the name. It looked friendly. I called the next day and scheduled an appointment.
The owner was very hands on, polite and genuine. The groomers were very pleasant and there were awesome dogs of all sizes having their «day at the spa».
I would highly recommend Bubbles. There always seems to be a metered spot available in front to drop off and pick up your pooch quickly.

We’ve been taking our fur-​babies to Bubbles for over 2 years and we couldn’t be happier.
Masumi is brilliant, she sculpts my precious Pomeranians into perfection with just a pair of shears.
Isaiah is so sweet, he knew that my sister’s pom needed comforting during his blow dry so he held and hugged the soaking wet dog to his chest (even though it drenched his shirt)!
You know they’re doing great work and loving your pets because you can watch EVERYTHING while they work. Nothing is done behind closed doors.
No, for $ 55 (+tip), this isn’t the least expensive grooming option available BUT it’s definitely worth it. I’ll never trust another groomer that takes the dogs behind closed doors.

It was our first time at Bubbles. Simon was very friendly when I called to make an appointment, and especially friendly when I called a few hours later to reschedule to a later time that day as I was taking my corgi there for a bath and trim during lunch. The appointment was an hour long and I was told they would call when Jax was ready to get picked up. The call was prompt and we checked out without any delay. Wasn’t aware that you could stay to watch the whole process! I would probably do that next time just because. The store is fully stocked with yummies and cute toys! They cleaned him very well and made him look so handsome! A $ 35 well spent. :)

I drive all the way from Orange County to Encino just to take my dog to Bubbles every two months. I must be crazy right? Wrong! Bubbles is worth the drive, horrible LA traffic and gas. Trust me.
Masumi is the BEST! I started taking my dog, Casey, to Bubbles before Masumi even started working at Bubbles. The groomers I had before her were also good, but Masumi is simply the best groomer I’ve ever had for Casey. She is so talented with the way she cuts Casey’s hair and she is an incredibly sweet lady! She loves Casey and Casey loves her back, which is amazing because Casey usually hates it when she is held by other people besides her family members. Never have I seen Casey so calm with a groomer until Masumi started grooming her.
Casey is a Lhasa Apso and has A LOT of fur! She needs a haircut every two months because it grows so fast. Masumi gives her a teddy bear cut and it always comes out great. I have never picked up Casey disappointed with the cut. Also, Masumi never forgets to add bows, a feather, or a bandana! :)
The place itself is very clean and does not smell bad, like other grooming places do. They have self-​wash stations where you can wash your own dog, if you’d like. They have the front desk area which is right next to a big display of treats, toys and misc. items to purchase for your dog. I love their vast selection of dog collars and leashes available, too.
I definitely recommend this grooming salon for your pet, especially if you are trying to find someone to give your hairy pooch a nice cut. Masumi never fails to make Casey adorable!
