I used to come to Bocca all the time and it was always absolutely delicious! I always looked forward to the avocado egg rolls, the Moroccan cigars, and the trays and trays of amazing meat! Tonight, however, was a different story… We took my mother and my grandmother to Bocca for Mother’s Day hoping to get the wonderful«Meal for four»(for six), but upon arriving, we discovered that they have an entirely new menu with very few options. We asked about the«Meal for four» and we were told that they recently hired a new chef and so they are not offering the same items as they had before. Disappointed, we struggled to find something on the menu that we wanted to eat. We each ordered something different, and forty-five minutes later we actually had an opportunity to taste it and… it was really disappointing. The steaks were cold and unseasoned, the pesto chicken was cold and lackluster, and the pasta pomodoro had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. Not only did the food not taste good, but the portions were incredibly small(which I guess was a good thing considering the quality). My family has been coming to this restaurant for so many years, and it is such a shame that after tonight, I don’t think we’ll be going back anytime soon. The servers were really welcoming and apologetic and did the best they could under the circumstances, but as long as the new chef continues to make flavorless food served in an untimely manner, they have lost me and my family as customers.

We chose BOCCA for my father’s 90th birthday party. We had such a wonderful time. My foodie friends loved the food and the staff was very pleasant and fun!

Service is really bad. Extremely bad. Food is decent. Just don’t go here. Try to avoid it at all costs because not only is it a rip off but the staff is just too unprofessional. I’m very disappointed.

This place doesn’t even deserve 1 star. By the attitude over the phone, and the comments there is on the Unilocal this tells me its a horrible place, who ever is answering the phone is horrible and disgusting rude.

The WORST service ever in my whole entire lifetime! Firstly, they call themselves a steakhouse, but they don’t know how to cook steak. I ordered a medium rare and they brought me a medium well. I returned the steak, and they brought a steak that was way too rare-a cold, bloody rare slab of meat that was charred only from the outside. I returned it AGAIN. Third steak comes out being completely well done. The cook literally recooked the rare slab of cold meat. I returned it AGAIN. But guess what, it gets better, the manager comes over and threatens me that this will be the last time they will redo my steak, and when I started to get loud because I was so upset, he literally shushed me! This place doesn’t even deserve me wasting my time, but BADFOODANDBADMANAGEMENT= DISASTER.

Had dinner at Bocca in Encino last night. We had checked out the menu online, which failed to highlight their romance and family dinner specials. Once we saw these, we knew exactly what to order. Appetizers: hummus, moroccan cigars, and avocado egg rolls(super yummy cilantro sauce) Main course: rib eye steak, chicken milanese, kabob, rice, veggies, and potatoes Dessert: assortment varies according to our waiter, but our platter included sorbet, chocolate mousse, fruit cocktail, and apple crisp. Small portions, but enough for each of us to taste.(Note this is a Kosher meat restaurant, so all desserts are non-dairy.) Cost: $ 65 for two or $ 116 for four. Portions may not seem huge at first glance, but there was plenty for the four of us and they split the leftovers so both couples had some to take home. Highly recommend giving Bocca a try.

First off there is a few things that must be a dressed. 1. The manager is very rude I was smoking a cigarette in the back and he just closed the door on me and locked it Instead of telling me that he is about to lock me out. l; I had to walk around to re enter the resultant … how rude. As far as the food we got our steak warm not hot like a real stake should be and the pita bread was soooooooo bad and not fresh. It’s a shame that a kosher place can’t keep their game up like a simple resutant.

Bocca prepared the food for my daughter’s Bat Mitzva on October 13, 2015 which was held at a different venue. The food was excellent, the staff and service was perfect. Yossi went above and beyond to make sure some issues at the venue were resolved, Moti the cook did a great job with the food and Haim made sure everything was operating on schedule. Everything was amazing and my guests have praised the food and service throughout the event. Thank you guys for making my event so successful.

Eh, not so good. The food didn’t seem fresh and the ribs, which were recommended to me by our waiter, were dry and overcooked. The dessert was pretty terrible too. We ordered the Neapolitan. The cake was obviously left out and then refrigerated again and again for what tasted like months. The mousse also tasted like it had been made weeks ago and was just chilling in those little cups they served it in. Overall, this place needs work. They have potential to be awesome. Kosher steakhouse? That sounds amazing, so stop skimping on the basics and deliver some better quality food and atmosphere.

The good: The main course — ribs — was good. The bad. The main course — ribs — was a very small portion. Very poor service. The person serving us obviously was not meant to be a waiter. Very slow. We were there for 1 ¾ hours. They give you a little bit of bread but they don’t have a parve spread for it. The desserts were average at best. I’ll stick with Pat’s, even if it is a longer commute.

The food is really delicious from the appetizers to the main course. The service was excellent as well. I highly recommend coming here. I am a repeat customer and each time I try something different and have always been very satisfied with the flavor of each dish. My family loves it here too!!!

If I could give negative 5 stars I would. Things were going fine until a member of our group asked for a to go box. The waiter told her that they don’t give to go boxes because people take advantage of the all you can eat food. She said she understood but just wanted to take what was on her plate. The manager told her that they RE-SERVETHEFOODTHATPEOPLELEAVE. When this was brought up as a health department violation the manager started yelling at our group. I went over to a friend who was also dining there separately to mention the horrible service. The waiter came over and told me that I couldn’t talk to her. I said this is friend and I will talk to her if I want. He shouted that he was done with me and made the motion of wiping your hands clean, at me. If I can give this place a zero stars, I would. My cousin had her bridal shower here and rented the entire place out for 150 – 200 people. One of the event coordinators asked for my phone to put on a playlist and we walked over to where the adapters were and Haim, who apparently is the owners son, yelled at her with such disrespect, snatched MY phone out of her hand and kicked her out of the booth while telling her«don’t you ever come into this booth again». The end of the party is what really threw me for loop. My GRANDMOTHER who has a bad back and walks with a limp walked over to one of the servers, Yossi, and said«hey I think these seat covers are ours too, would you help me take them off», because she can’t bend over” and he said«um, that’s not my job» and walked away. I was appalled at his behavior towards an elderly woman. I don’t care what your specific job is, if an elderly lady asks for help, you help her. Or get help for her. And it IS your job. We paid thousands and thousands of dollars to get this party together, we paid well over the suggested gratuity for these servers who worked this party. And we didn’t even ask for their help, we had 10 ladies packing boxes when we left and had no help from men. We didn’t even ask for it. I will never recommend this place to anyone. I’m Israeli and I know many people who go here, I’ll be sure to tell them to steer clear of booking parties here.

What a horrible place. A restaurant that charge $ 50 for a Steak, and consider them self as a Classic restaurant, should give you top service, not a burned steak when u ask for Medium, they clean the food before we finished, in the middle of the dinner they folded the tables aggressively when it was only 9pm, they had an event so they were out of most of the deserts, they are telling you that they are out of items but than you see it on different table(30 min after we ordered). The appetizer was not bad that’s why I gave them one more Star, but seriously you need to learn how to provide service for people who decide that tonight they will spend $ 300 for a dinner. Oh and by the way the Vale is like a mile away, you better park at the front.
