A Plus Child Day Care

When it was time for me to return to work I was beyond stressed because I had never left my baby with anyone but family. I called A Plus and met with Germin the next day and she made me feel more at ease with the decision to put my girl in daycare. My daughter Started at A Plus Child Day Care when she was just 16 months old. I cam elated with how much she has learned and how excited she is to go to «school». I was excited to learn that they teach sign language because I knew that they would continue with what we had started to teach our daughter at home.
Germin in a gem. The staff is so great with the kids. They show so much love for the children. There are many days when my daughter doesn’t even want to leave day care. She absolutely loves it. And so do I!

Finding A Plus Child Day Care has been a blessing in our lives. After countless hours of research, phone calls, and interviews with other day cares … I almost gave up. Nothing stood up to my expectations. I was referred to A Plus Child Day Care from a dear friend.
I am not kidding, after 5 minutes of walking into this immaculate space and seeing how the day care was set up, I knew this was the place for my daughter. «Where do we sign up?» was my first question.
Germin is an angel. Her staff is amazing. Germin understands the needs and wants of infants and toddlers. She is so patient, kind, nurturing and educated.
My daughter is very advanced for her age. I believe this is because of Germin. She has new lessons and activities for the children everyday. Every time «I pop in «the children are happy, learning something new, dancing or just playing like children do.
A Plus Child Day Care is not over crowded. They have enough staff to give the attention the children need. The food is organic and prepared fresh everyday. The facility is clean and set up in different sections — classroom, playground, potty training, nap area, infants etc.
The look on my daughters face the minute she walks into A Plus Child Day Care is priceless. She is so happy and that is the best feeling a mom can have.
I am eternally grateful for Germin and her staff. They are our family !!!

I started my 3 month old baby with Germin a month ago. Although when i first met Germin, and fell in love with her personality, family values and ideas regarding raising children, i was still nervous to hand off my baby (as any mom would) to someone else to look after.
Germin suggested we do a trial week before i went back to work. My baby stayed with her later and later every day, until she could go a full day without me getting her early. Germin kept me up to date on everything that was happening, including sending me photos during the day of what my baby was up to.
On wednesday my baby started waking up much earlier at night than usual. I was scared that it was stress, but told Germin of what was happening and to keep an eye out. Germin texted me saying that she might be going through a growth spurt, since she was crying after every bottle. She suggested i give her more milk every feeding. The next day, after taking her advice, baby’s sleep pattern went back to normal and everything was great.
I see how much my baby enjoys having Germin as her teacher. She smiles at her and «talks» to her all the time. Germine and I continue to have open communication about her development to make sure we are always on the same team.

I just want to say that finding A Plus was a blessing at such a stressful time. My husband was starting a new job and would be commuting back and forth between LA and Vegas. Previously my dad was watching him, and my husband was the one dropping our son off and picking him up everyday, since I work all the way in Santa Monica and it’s difficult for me to get back to the valley at a decent hour. I came across A Plus Daycare while searching on Unilocal for daycares in Encino. Since most of my family live or work near the area and I would be relying on them to help me with picking my son up, I thought the location was perfect. I also saw that she spoke Arabic which was perfect because since the day my son was born my family has been speaking to him in Arabic so I wanted to keep that going.
I called and made an appointment with Germine to go see the daycare. I brought my dad, step-​mom and sister-​in-​law to see the place with me. We all loved what we saw and got so much comfort. Previously I never imagined putting my son in daycare. I had so much help between my husband and my family that I never really had to, but meeting Germine and seeing the daycare made me feel so much better about the whole situation.
My son started at the end of September (when he was 15^th months old) and for the first week we did part time just to give him a chance to adapt. I thought it was going to be a nightmare the first day I dropped him off, but he immediately adapted and loves Germine and the other girls. Now as soon as we pull up to the house he gets a big grin on his face. Oh and when Germine opens the gate to greet him, the smile on his face shows me how much he loves it there. He has only been there about a month and I already see how attached he is to Germine. There are days where he doesn’t want to go home. It gives me such peace of mind while I’m at work. I know he’s happy playing with his friends there, I know he’s fed and changed and I know he’s taken his nap and most of all I know he’s loved. My only regret is not finding Germine and A Plus Daycare sooner!

My little man LOVES this place. He jumps from our arms every morning to meet his teacher at the door. He learns and interacts in a nice, clean, educational, and social environment. A+ for A Plus Daycare!

My son who is now 2 ½ has been going to A Plus Child Day Care for over a year and he LOVES it. It is really hard to even get him to come home with Me. I have to hang out for at least 15 minutes and bribe him to leave to go home. He has developed a great friendship with Germin, her staff and the other kids who all seem so Happy there. Germin is very nurturing and she is there all the time to make sure the kids are well taken care of.

Everything in life is a lesson and this place certainly taught me a huge lesson.
First of all I found this place on Unilocal and the wonderful reviews made me excited to find out more information about this day care. So three months before I would need my little one to begin day care, I made an appointment with the owner, Germin, and visited her day care which she advertised as infant care as well as day care. The facility at the time was clean and neat and situated in a little bungalow behind her house in her backyard. I was thrilled and I thought I could trust that this place would be a good fit for my family’s needs, so I paid her the required two week deposit.
Three months later, when my child had to begin daycare, we decided mutually to give my little one a week to get acclimated to daycare. She would need to get used to being in someone else’s care since she had been only cared for by my hubby and I at home and exclusively breastfed.
The week started off well but by Thursday germin called me two hours after we dropped her off and stated she was unsure what was wrong with my baby and she would not stop crying. Frantic and thinking perhaps it was a result of the doctor’s appointment that she had had that morning just before we took her to daycare, I wrote it off as a bad day and seemingly so did Germin. We got our child and took her home. All our little one needed was a nap and then all was okay. Luckily my hub was home and able to take care of her all day.
The next day, Friday, my husband dropped her off again and again two hours later Germin called me frantic stating my baby could not stop crying. We immediately go and find my baby strapped in a chair wailing. Germin then shows us that my baby would stop crying only if she sat near her but started up crying when she would walk away and leave her strapped in the chair. She then proceeded to tell me I should leave her in a room alone so she can get used to being alone because she has other children to tend to and my baby’s cries were disturbing the others.
She also suggested I give my exclusively breast fed baby formula so she would be less clingy and difficult for her to manage. Wow! She told me no one would be able to care for her. She was incorrigible. There was nothing anyone could do and that I should bring her back when she is older.
My child just needed to be held or even to be near someone how could help her acclimate to daycare. Germin was unable, or unwilling, to even try to help my child adapt to daycare. She just would leave her in a chair crying her eyes out and deemed her unmanageable. Well my child is perfectly fine and most babies take two maybe even three weeks to adjust to daycare; Germin had neither the patience nor the compassion to understand that.
Through the tears I asked her my deposit back, grabbed my baby, collected my baby’s things, and left. My poor baby had a hoarse voice afterward from crying her eyes out for over an hour in her care. How could someone be so heartless and cruel to a baby who just wanted to be held, touched, acknowledged, played with rather than being strapped to a chair with a pacifier while she goes about her day.
By the way if I didn’t emphasize, all this happened on a Friday afternoon and I had to scramble and find another day care that day so my baby could start daycare the following Monday without the opportunity to test out a new daycare. So stressful. Germin definitely threw our family for a loop.
I would say to anyone if you have an infant take your little one to someone who will care and give your child individualized attention. I also saw that another infant younger than my baby would always be strapped inside a bassinet and never even acknowledged while she was in her care.
Lesson learned. No love lost. My baby is wonderful. And to those parents looking to go to this place for their child care needs, really do your homework and watch them and how they interact with your children.

By the way, don’t be swayed by the five star reviews. Do your homework before trusting your child to anyone.

We are fairly new (just under four months) to the A Plus Child Day Care program with Germin, hence the four stars instead of five. However, we thrilled with the care and service Germin and her staff provides for our 19-​month old son. There is a loving atmosphere at A Plus with high standards in terms of education. My son learns new words in English, Arabic and Spanish every day. Germin is great about communicating the needs of our child, as well as those of the day care, which makes things so much easier for us as working parents.
In the few months we’ve been enrolled at A Plus, I’ve been so pleased with the developments and continual improvements that have taken place at the day care. Germin runs a tight ship and has an obvious commitment to excellence, which we like.
«The proof is in the pudding», I always say, so I look to my son for his response. He is always happy to see Germin and her caring staff, and at times, he is even reluctant to come home at the end of the day :).
Thank you Germin for creating such a stimulating, loving and educational environment for our most precious and important little people!

When we moved here from the Midwest and I was looking for a daycare it was a long process to find the right fit. We visited several places. My daughter and I were immediately comforted by Germin and her staff. My daughter who is 3 is excited every morning to go to «school» and is doing very well. We have been there for 8 months now and I always feel secure that my daughter is being taken care of. She is loved and gets lots of hugs n kisses which is very important to me. They have become our second family. I would recommend this daycare to anyone looking for a genuine place to bring your children.

Germin is the best! My son absolutely LOVES going to her day care (and he thinks of it as more of a «school» than a «day care»). Germin seems to genuinely care about my son and that is a very big deal. When you’re leaving your little one in the care of someone, you need to TRUST that person. And Germin has really earned the trust of me, my wife, and my little boy.

Germin watched my son for a year and he grew to love her very much! She was very sweet and gentle with him. I was relaxed knowing he was being watched by someone who truly cared about him.

My son has been in Germin’s daycare for over six months now and he loves it. My son loves feeling special and having fun like all toddlers, and he runs to the door of this daycare when I drop him off. He was the kind of little one who was fussy in the beginning, so for him to want to go to daycare so enthusiastically is really important. He loves the art projects and general bonding with other kids. I appreciate being able to leave my son somewhere that I trust. I would totally recommend A Plus Daycare to any mom.

Germin has taken care of my son since he was 4 months old. She is really good with all the kids and they get lots of time to play outside in the yard with lots of toys. He’s 19 months now and she has taught him so many things — I’m surprised every day! They do lots of crafts and he comes home covered in marker, but I love that. I was really happy with how well he slept here when he was really little. We switched from another daycare because he was so overstimulated that he would only nap for 20 – 45 minutes the entire day. As soon as we started here he was sleeping like a 4 month old should because the cribs are separate from the rest of the play area. I’m happy to have him in a place where I feel he is being loved and nurtured.

This day care is awesome. I have a 2 ½ years old son and he is not patty trained. I work full time. I really needed to find a great day care that i can trust to keep my son in all day long. My friend highly recommended A plus day care. i went to visit the place and met Germin the owner, she is really friendly and caring. she is very nice and gentle with kids, she knows how to deal with them. she taught my son how to use the bathroom all by himself. my son is always happy when he goes there he never wants to go back home. I LOVE THIS PLACE.
