I am extremely happy with my new system. I went in there and told Max what I was hoping to accomplish and what my budget was. After going over everything several times, we agreed that to get what I really wanted, I would need to increase my budget. I must say that I had very lofty expectations because of the increase in budget. They exceeded my expectations. My system hits SUPER hard with superb clarity.
As far as pricing is concerned, they charged right around the same price as the box stores. The two main differences are that you will get truly expert advice and the very best quality installation.

The service level at SoCal Customs is excellent. Spencer and staff were very knowledgeable about what would help me get the sound I was looking for, and he didn’t try to oversell me. I enjoyed the whole experience working with Spencer, and will return with future needs.

Didn’t receive any service. Stood there and Spencer, the beard man, never acknowledged me until I asked for help. Said he was closed Saturday’s but told me to wait 10 minutes, I left after 30 while he was chopping it up with what looked like friends. Could have told me to come back another time or acknowledged my wait time like a professional, horrendous customer service.

I waited 30 minutes just to speak to Spencer. He needed to check on a part. He said he would call back but he never did. I called 3 times. He never followed up or even called back. I had been to this shop in the past and they were good. That is why I came back. I’ll take my business elsewhere from now on.

I said it once, and I’ll say it again. Spencer and his crew brought my vw bus back to life. All my wiring was put back together wrong when I had it painted it mexico. They fixed the wiring and put in a really elaborate custom alarm system. He even fixed my messed up doors. Five stars for sure.

Great package pricing! Extremely knowledgeable and professional installed navigation unit that a chain or big box store said wouldn’t work. I could have purchase the same system at Best Buy for less money, but I would not have received the Customer Service and Care I got from Spencer.
He want out of his way explaining the system to my wife and myself with patience and kindness. He does want he says.

Went and saw Spencer today after reading his stellar reviews on Unilocal and was not disappointed. Fantastic service, honest pricing, and a great chat later I am a very happy customer. I will not only recommend him on Unilocal but to friends and anyone else I hear in need of a Stereo Guru. Money and time well spent in my opinion.

I have been going to SoCal Customs for 6 years. Spencer and his crew provide impeccable service. I have an extremely elaborate install with many custom built pieces and I am more then pleased with the money I spent. There are a lot of hack jobs out there that will do it for less, but SoCal actually guarantees there work and puts that extra love into it. I will continue using SoCal with all of my cars.

I brought my girlfriends 2013 Jeep patriot to have a navigation stereo and backup camera installed and they were very helpful and informative in helping us choose the right equipment. Once installed we had trouble with the GPS but SoCal quickly got our Problem resolved and now we are very happy. SoCal provided excellent service and support when we needed it. A 5 out of 5. I had a GPS/​iPod/​Bluetooth system (Alpine) installed in my VW EOS — Brent worked on it until I was happy with some of the steering wheel features. 4 months later, I had my car in for its 40k miles revision, and they disconnected the battery, causing some short on my new system. I called SoCal, they saw me that same day, reset a few things, and got it all working again. Would not even charge me, saying it was part of the warranty.
I highly recommend them.

I love these guys. They added a complete GPS, XM, iPod, am/​fm, Bluetooth system with a backup camera to me Ford Expedition. All was great until my battery kept dying. Two calls to AAA to give me a jump start. The AAA guys said that my battery was good and the problem was my new system. Spencer spent a lot of time trouble shooting the problem and even loaned me a battery to help determine the problem. Long story short, AAA was wrong! The battery was defective and they ended up giving me a new one. Thanks SoCal Audio for a job well done!

BETTER THAN GEEKSQUAD!!!
We had a relatively simple stereo installation (that by trying to do it ourselves-​made it more complicated) and we took it to Spencer. He was extremely gracious, fun to be around and incredibly knowledgeable. The stereo was installed in under an hour and he showed us some tricks. The system now works like a dream :)

I just had an iPod jack installed, and my rear subwoofer repaired. What a great experience. I dealt with Brent. He was friendly and professional, he assured me that he would do everything I needed and would keep the cost as low as he could. He even fixed a rattle in my trunk whilst he was at it. He showed me how to use the system and was patient when I never showed up for my appointment on time. I would definitely recommend this company for any car audio.

I took my Corvette in last week (would have written sooner but have I have been «sicker than a dog.») because I was having a issue with my Kenwood. I made an appointment, took the car over and left it. I was told it should take about an hour to see what the problem was or to fix it. I got a call about 40 minutes later… it was all done! When I got back to the shop, the individual (I am assuming the owner) said «this is your lucky day… I cannot charge you for hitting the reset button.»
What a standup guy! You do not often find these kinds of honest businnesses. I will reccomend them to everyone I know that is having auto audio issues and any more issues I have, (or for new systems) I will go to SoCal Custom for help!
