I have been going to Java for my shellac/​gelish nails for over 4 years now and she is the best at nails! I come to her every 2 – 3 weeks and she never fails to make my nails look chic and trendy! She is so sweet and always makes me laugh. I always get compliments on my nails and gladly recommend Java! She really takes the time to make sure my nails are the perfect shape and will help me find the exact color I want. Also her hand massage that she gives with your manicure is so relaxing. I love to do fun colors with glitter and foil designs before holidays and big events and she never fails to amaze!
If you want amazing nails for an event or even to get your nails done on a regular basis, Java is your nail lady!

Java does such a good job. Shellac lasts two weeks or more and my nails always look perfect when she’s done.

I absolutely do not recommend this place for service! I had an appointment scheduled for 2 PM I arrived on time and the girl at the front desk said that she had someone with her. She then came out and asked what my name was walked away with complete attitude and said is just not my day today. Came back out and said it’s going to be about another 15 minutes I told her that I couldn’t wait. She said well I’m sorry that’s just what happens and walked away. She offered me no alternative time did not apologize for being late and had no consideration or respect for my time. The front desk girl said «she gets like that when she’s stressed out».
So I guess it’s OK for her to be rude to her customers and have no respect for their time. Do not recommend she was also late for my very first appointment!

I just had my nails done by Java. Wow! Great service, excellent work. Highly recommend! It was wonderful to be able to communicate each step of the way and to have the nails turn out exactly as you like. I’m glad I found Shellac By The Sea.

Java gives beautiful manicures that last. They stay shiny and I can keep them for 3 weeks. She has a great personality and is very fun and easy to talk to. I found her through Groupon and I will now be a regular. You can schedule your appointment via text and she’s very efficient too.

Java did an amazing job on my nails !! I got a very pretty gel manicure w some glitter, which I normally don’t do but she made them look super cute and fun! She is located inside of deep tan and spa at the lofts !!! I like that she has a private studio instead of being out in the open at a nail shop !! Highly recommend ! Thank you Java !

I bought a groupon for a shellac manicure and was extremely impressed by the service I received from Java. She’s very friendly, happy and easy to talk to. My nails looked so great that I went back the next day and got a pedicure. I’ll definitely be back. Thanks Java!!!

I came in to get a fill and have her correct my terrible oval French full set. She not only changed the shape of the nail from oval to square which looks much better, but she also evened out the crooked and unevenness of the acrylic. We also added a shimmer to the French tip. They now look perfect and gorgeous! See for yourself! Java is the best and provides excellent customer service!

I don’t recommend because very bad customer service and Java is very rude. I had to call so many times to schedule an appointment, and they never return calls. I got deal through Living Social, but services is so bad. I got fooled by Unilocal reviews; it looks like Java and her friends wrote bogus (fake) review about their services. I don’t recommend to anyone even if she offers it for free.

I came in a few days before my first wedding anniversary to get a gel mani — Shellac by the Sea is located in Deep Tan & Spa. I walked in and Java came to greet me — she is the cutest, sweetest person! She is the sole nail tech at Shellac by the Sea, so you won’t get anyone else. We talked the entire time she did my nails — she is just super real and fun to be around. I came in with a picture of exactly what I wanted and she hit it dead on — my nails look so cute! She has a ton of colors and different glitters and genuinely likes what she does. I prepaid for my next manicure and got a sweet discount — she has some really good deals (and a $ 10 student discount!) that make her prices some of the best in Encinitas. She also explained the difference between gelish and shellac polish which no one had ever done for me. I’ll definitely be coming back.
Tip– Java doesn’t do acrylics, only natural nails, in case fake nails are your thing!

Java is such an amazing artist/​manicurist! I always leave feeling very satisfied, and she gives an awesome student discount. She has her own room so you are not inhaling all of those yucky chemicals. I highly recommend booking an appointment with Java, you WON’T be disappointed!

She takes time and care and my hands and feet always look so pretty when she’s done with them! After seeing her, no other manicure could compete! She gives student discounts and her shellac lasts forever. So my student shiillac pedi is $ 30 and stays perfect for a month!!!
