History
Established in 1985.
The Seaside Bazaar is a European style open-air market. Situated along scenic Highway 101 in Old Downtown Encinitas, the Bazaar has offered a unique alternative for locals and tourists since 1985. Offering an array imports from around the world to handcrafted treasures by local artists. There’s always something new to view as the selection of vendors changes from week to week.
We are descended from the old Leucadia Flea Market, which ended in 1983. In years past, the lot was formerly home to a lumberyard and an A&W Rootbeer drive-in. We are just steps from our most historic local landmark, the La Paloma Theater, which hosted many movie and live performance openings dating back to the 1920’s.
With our ideal weather, we are visited continually by travelers and tourists from around the country, along with many Europeans and internationals. We remain the only ongoing craft and import bazaar in San Diego.
