History

Established in 1944.

Seacrest Village Retirement Communities were originally called the «San Diego Hebrew Homes» as they are a Jewish community run non profit. In 1989 they changed the name to Seacrest Village Retirement Communities but still maintain a strong Jewish tradition in serving Kosher foods, having a 24 hour on-staff Rabbi, and an on campus Synagogue. A few other amenities include 2 indoor pools, on-site putting green, fitness center, spa, massage parlor, fire pits, coy pond, movie theater, and transportation to local city.

Meet the Manager

Pam F.

Manager

President and Chief Executive Officer of Seacrest Village Retirement Communities, I first joined the Seacrest Village family in 1989 at the San Diego Hebrew Homes located on 54th Street. I have been involved with the growth of the organization, which has included the initial development and expansion of Seacrest Village’s 10-acre campus in Encinitas, the opening of its skilled nursing, assisted living and memory support centers, the sale of its original home, and acquisition of a second site. I hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work from San Diego State University with an emphasis on Gerontology, and am also a Licensed Nursing Home and Assisted Living Administrator. I served on the San Diego board of the California Association of Healthcare Facilities, chaired national conferences on aging and am currently on the board of the National Association of Jewish Aging Services. I am passionate about senior care and look to instill that feeling into those around me.
