Seacoast Community Church

My wife and I were on a staycation in Encinitas and were led to Seacoast church and were very impressed. We felt the presence of GOD during the worship and we were challenged with the teaching. We look forward to fellowship with our brothers and sisters there the next time we are in the area. If I lived in the area that would be my home church.

I have been «church shopping» for a while. This is, thankfully, not a mega church but it isn’t tiny, either. The exterior of the church may look plain (compared to cathedral-​type churches), but the inside of the chapel is a very nice and comfortable. This church offers several small groups, and many of the members are active in such. I always felt very welcome and found it to be a great community. Everyone I encountered was genuine, I did not feel any thing was forced/​scripted or that people were posing to rope in new members. I was also very pleased with the Sunday School teachings for the children.
Pastor Dale is simply incredible. He preaches straight Bible and his sermons are intelligent, thought-​provoking, and engrossing. The church does put quite a bit of effort into their media/​tech — this is quite the professional organization in that aspect. I loved that.
The reason that I did not stick with this church is that it is very contemporary/​charismatic with its music. And the music is loud. There is a full band (and they are awesome). Most everyone stands up and sings along with the lyrics displayed on the screens above the band. There is nothing wrong with this — its just not my thing (give me old-​time hymns & a pipe organ, LOL). I did try to get into it but after several months there was no denying that this one aspect made me extremely uncomfortable. I do not go to church to rock out; it does not jive with the sacred experience I’m seeking or accustomed to. This is my personal preference and is absolutely not a negative about the church. Many people find this professional-​level musical presentation an integral part of their worship and a massive benefit.
If you are looking for a solid non-​denom, you should definitely check this church out. I was sad to leave it.

I grew up at Seacoast, went away to college and didn’t think I’d be back. Yet, a year or so after graduating, on a whim my husband (then fiancé) and I visited a Sunday morning. I was floored. We were greeted by real, kind Jesus-​loving people. We were immediately welcomed and made to feel like we belonged. It was obvious we needed to stay. After only a few months in we were invited to join a young married’s life group. We went as soon as we returned from our honeymoon and haven’t left the group since! Through this small group and the family-​like community of Seacoast we have drawn closer to our Lord Jesus and grown as followers. Our marriage would not be what it is today without this community! We are so grateful. If you’re looking for a personal, warm and welcoming community that loves Jesus, this is it! Josh and I can’t wait to meet you! :)

We love Seacoast. It is such a friendly place and has something for everyone — singles, marrieds, kids, seniors, etc. My husband and I have been at this church for 20 years — it’s solid, and effuses a love for God, Truth, and community.

I love this church! I live in Oceanside, but feel like this is home so much so that I am more than willing to drive that 45 minutes to get here on Sundays and during the week for small group and other activities. The people are friendly and genuine. The staff is an excellent team. It has been wonderful to be a part of this church this past year.

My wife and I have been Christians for over 35 years and have attended many churches in the North Coast area. After years of our traveling to Vista for expository preaching that had no practical application to our lives, we decided 18 months ago to try a Seacoast which is 7 – 8 minutes from our home in Solana Beach. We were immediately impressed by two things which should be very important to all Christians: 1) A body of believers that greeted us and have loved us through these months in fellowship, prayer, and teaching from God’s precious and holy Word, and 2) solid verse by verse expository teaching with real life applications by Pastor Dale from the Holy Scriptures. I have also been a part of a men’s group meeting weekly which has taken these two areas and made them even more relevant to my spiritual life and growth. Any true believer looking for the fellowship of like minded Christians, the worship of God, and the spiritual growth through application expository teaching from God’s Word will be richly rewarded with this wonderful church which my wife and I now call our home church. Please come and join us for a Sunday service and see what I mean!

Our family has been attending Seacoast since 2006-​ish, when we moved to the area from OC. We have kids who are now 10, 13 & 16, but were obviously younger back then, so we needed a church that also had a strong kids program.
We looked at 3 – 4 churches in the area, but they weren’t a good fit for our family (too large, too ‘modern,’ kid’s program were too much about playing/​entertainment, etc.). What we liked about Seacoast was the size and personal connection.
When we first started going, we arrived a little late and left right after the service. That’s probably pretty common with a lot of folks. But soon, we began to actually know people in the church, and get involved in extra classes/​studies and small groups, and volunteering and doing that «churchie» thing we avoided for so long. But it doesn’t feel forced… we’re involved at the level we feel comfortable with, and feel joyful.
So…if you’re not afraid of connecting with people like us who are ordinary, everyday folks who have put their faith in Jesus, then try Seacoast for a few weeks.

We have been attending for 11 years and have really been blessed to connect with and grow with this community of Christ followers. Our newest experience is with Rooted! The participants meet over a ten week period and we are challenged and encouraged to examine our personal walk with Jesus and how we are connecting in the life of the church. It’s a great way for both people new to being a Christ follower or have been a long time follower to reexamine what we believe and our spiritual habits/​disciplines. Yes … Rooted is good for both new people to Seacoast or people who have attended for many years. Pastor Ryan and his wife Sara lead it. This is an excellent first step to see what Seacoast is all about and to tap into the life-​changing power of God in your life!

The Children’s Ministry here is what we are most impressed with. We have a preschooler, elementary student and a Junior high student — each one is plugged in and has leaders who take an active interest in their lives and spiritual health. There is support for the parents and lots of opportunities given for our kids to live out their faith such as volunteering at a local mission, building a well in Africa and working at an orphanage in Mexico. Not only that, but the church as a whole is filled with Christ-​centered strong families and people who serve as examples to our kids and are friends to my husband and me. We are grateful to be a part of such an authentic and fun and Bible-​centered church!

Being a pastor’s kid, I’ve been to a lot of churches in my 28 years of life. Seacoast is hands down one of my favorites. The people are authentic, the pastors & leaders follow through when they commit to something, the worship is incredible, & Pastor Dale preaches the word in a way that always hits home for me. I also feel like the church is really effective at providing resources for accountability & growth. I love how I’m consistently stretched & challenged to be more like Christ. My husband and I have made lifelong friends here, & we feel so incredibly loved by this church. I can’t wait for my kids to grow up in this sweet community of believers.

After church «hunting» for quite awhile, we realized that something kept drawing us back to Seacoast Community Church. It’s simple, really. it’s an authentic community of people, who believe in Jesus Christ. People who love well, want to serve to better our community (and world), and people who want to be transformed by God. (No one claiming to be perfect, as we are all works-​in-​progress!) The message is always Biblical and always applicable to life, where you walk away every Sunday feeling like you have really learned something. Even if you are «seeking» and you aren’t sure what you believe, this is a safe place to explore without judgement. Seacoast is now our church home and it has been a blessing to us!

My husband and I started going to this church about 6 – 7 years ago because we heard that there was a ping pong tournament there one night. We met some of the nicest people there and have been going to Seacoast ever since! Pastor Dale is a great leader and bible teacher. His sermons are practical, honest, humble, and I really feel God is using him to speak to my heart on how to live for Jesus and live a better everyday life. Our family has found this church to be an excellent support network of people who really do care about each other. I invite you to come and check it out, you may never leave, just like us!

The Friday Men’s «!st Appointment» is an excellent men’s group for men in the workplace. There is a wide spectrum of men who own or operate large corporations to small entrepreneurial businesses.
If you are looking to connect with people to be accountable to and to be challenged then this is a great place to find those relationships.
