My husband and I decided that Encinitas was home in 1999 during a surf vacation we took down the coast of California. We fell in love with North County during our stay at Cardiff State Beach Campground. We decided to plant our roots and I began my first practice in Solana Beach in 2000. San Diego offers so much raw beauty and is such a great community to call home. It’s a joy to practice chiropractic and provide our community with a wellness center that also offers highly skilled and quality acupuncture, massage, and pilates services. My mission is to prevent needless suffering by providing natural options for people to improve their health.

This review is for Sahn Lee (acupuncturist). I’ve seen acupuncturists in the past for various ailments, but this is the first time I felt like it made a noticeable difference. Sahn treated me for anxiety and stress. She has great bedside manner — she made sure I was comfortable before she inserted the needles. She was gentle with the actual insertion of the needles and double checked and asked how I was feeling before she left me to rest. At the end of my treatment, the removal of the needles was quick and painless. I was amazed at how different I felt — super relaxed compared to how I was going in. I was literally a different person at the end of my treatment. I am thankful to have found Sahn. She is an amazing healer, who is both extremely knowledgeable and compassionate, and obviously loves what she does.

I’ve never been to a chiropractor before, but after a recent weird running injury that developed I decided I would start here to get some relief. I found Dr. Sage after searching for Aetna covered chiropractors (NOTE: they no longer accept Aetna, but they are willing to work with you on some options so call them). During my first appointment I was greeted and assisted by the asst chiropractor Jennifer. She was knowledgeable and respectful and made me feel really comfortable. Then was my assessment with Dr. Sage, again she was knowledgeable and explained each step of the process and answered all my questions. The adjustment was fantastic. I instantly felt like my back was getting some long overdue relief. Dr. Sage actually personally followed up with me a couple days later (knowing that I was a new patient and concerned about the coverage from my insurance) and wanted to make sure I was doing well which I really appreciated.
I feel like she genuinely cared about my experience and I absolutely will be returning for more treatments.

great treatment overall very happy with service however the customer service/​receptionist was way rude none inviting when i arrived i wanted to walk out the door and when treatment was over and i was paying the receptionist was gossiping with another lady and didn’t make eye contact once!!! i think in this business eye contact and communication is essential just saying

Dr. Sage is a gem. She’s honest, cool, and a great listener. I had a mid-​grade back injury from lifting which I was mildly successful in treating with exercise for numerous years. Halfway thru my pregnancy, I realized my back wouldn’t hold the weight. I started receiving treatment from Dr. Sage three times a week and every adjustment relieved the chronic pain + increased my mobility. Nine months post-​birth, I’m on monthly maintenance with Dr. Sage and truly feel like I’m on my way to a healthier back.

This review is for Aimee Holdwick (acupuncturist) I have been seeing her for a little 3 months /​1x per week and have seen some amazing results. My severe dermatitis /​eczema on my legs and arms has completely gone away. Knee pain that I’ve been suffering from since I tore my PCL 4 years ago is totally gone!!! I have scoliosis that she has helped take my pain level from a constant 7 to a 2. I am so grateful to of found her.

I LOVE Sage Health! Dr. Sage and her staff are amazing. I’ve dealt with neck and shoulder issues most of my adult life due to several car accidents and years of an active lifestyle. For the longest time (even after seeing other chiropractors) my neck issue persisted. I would wake up with a stiff neck on most days that made it painful to get out of bed. Since seeing Dr. Sage this issue has subsided. I go in when I need to for here and there adjustments if I throw it out of whack, but for the most part I’m good to go and only go in when I need to for maintenance.
Dr. Sage and her staff have always gone above and beyond for me with any treatment I’ve sought and I couldn’t be more grateful to them.

I can’t say enough about Dr Sage and people at Sage Health. They have a fantastic and well rounded offering including a great plan to pre-​purchase adjustments, massage, etc as well as a super convenient online appointment scheduling tool which makes it easier to schedule my adjustments. The service goes above and beyond — for example, I was in a lot of pain and getting ready to go on a cross country trip and Dr Sage came back to the office (with her kids) after already leaving for the day to give me a quick adjustment. It saved my trip and I’m pain free (for now).

I was referred to Dr. Sage from coworkers, and I couldn’t be happier! I do yoga, and I got a kink in my back that was very painful, and constant. After my first visit to Dr. Sage, the pain was lower. By the second visit, it was fixed! She is so knowledgeable… she has studied very hard in different areas of health. Her staff is so kind, and the office is clean, neat and comfortable. I’ve recommended her to two different people already, and they both love her!

I found Dr. Sage on Unilocal because of all the excellent reviews of Sage Health and it turns out they are in network with my Cigna PPO, a dream come true! I went to Dr. Sage with a list of complaints and she acknowledged each and every one. She took her time and did a thorough exam before and after my adjustment. She was very sweet and caring and you can tell she is in this business because she truly wants to help. The office staff is very friendly and helpful here. I’m excited to see how I feel after a month of adjustments.

I love this place, I love everything about this place. From the time I walk through the front doors at Sage Health and I’m greeted warmly by Loran till the time I leave after an adjustment. Sage Health just makes you feel better, period.
I have been going to Dr Sage for over a year now and she has helped me with several issues. From back pain to forearm pain. She is gentle yet is able to make the correct adjustments in the right areas. She has also treated my wife, who has RA and has been able to help her though many of her issues.
Even when not in pain I love being able to go to Sage for a quick «tune-​up». I walk out of their office feeling as though I’ve been given a new body.

I really enjoy the services and environment at Dr. Sage’s office. Dr. Sage is methodical and caring, and understands sports-​related challenges. She’s friendly and fun too. In addition to adjustments, I’ve gone to Rebecca for massages a couple of times, and she listens to feedback and is very effective and fun as well. The office staff, including Laura and Arianna, are helpful, positive and warm, so my total experience there is always wonderful.

Dr. Sage is gentle, caring, and is very knowledgable about her work.
I have been going since my first pregnancy. She adjusted me throughout all trimesters of my pregnancy, helped relieve my back pain, and at one point in time, my sciatica due to pregnancy, and even adjusted my newborn a couple times. I still go to her for an occasional «tune-​up».
The front desk and support staff are also very kind. Lauren is always so cordial and friendly.
I can’t recommend Dr. Sage enough for the work that she does. I recommend her to everyone.

Dr. Sage is great! She isn’t the first chiropractor I’ve been to in Encinitas since I have a hard time acting my age. Note to self, back flips and overhead waves are better left to people in their 20s or Kelly Slater. Nonetheless, I still charge out there knowing that Dr. Sage has the answers and skills to get me back on my feet. Not only does she crack a hell of a back, she has a whole quiver of skills to remedy all kinds of ailments. Once I was over served the night before my appointment and had a headache. Acupressure: check!
Other local spine whisperers make you feel like cattle being pushed through a corral, but Sage Health is professional, relaxing, and the staff is super sweet. I believe one of them is looking for a good man, for all you single dudes out there. She prefers Midwestern manly men, so don’t pedal up on your fixed gear with skinny jeans.
Also, they take Kaiser, which is nice. The last place I went to down the road didn’t, and I stopped going when the person in front of me was paying $ 10 less for the same thing I was getting. Outrageous!!! Maybe not outrageous, but certainly mildly annoying.

Dr. Sage is amazing. She has so many ways to approach any ailment and uses her entire arsenal. I love getting the heat treatment or using the massage table when waiting for Dr. Sage. I’ve had numerous issues, from back, knees, hip, elbow and fingers, that she helped with. If an adjustment can’t do the trick, she has successfully suggested homeopathic techniques and exercises that did do the trick.
Appointments are very prompt, you rarely if ever have to wait. I’ve even came in on the wrong day and her team was able to squeeze me in with a minimal wait. Everyone in the office is super nice. I have recommended Sage Health to many people. That reminds me I need to make an appointment!

Dr. Sage is so knowledgeable and works with a variety of techniques to give you the pesonal care you need! She is professional, very personable, and interested in you and the care you personally need. I just love’er.
I came in at my worst. Damaged disk, could barely walk and she worked with me very carefully. I made a strong recovery and was able to get back to my daily life. Her staff is wonderful and has a very comfortable office setting so you can relax.

Dr. Sage is the best chiropractor I’ve had and her staff is professional and nice to boot. They are very accommodating and always share insightful advice on how to be healthy and stay that way. It is a very relaxing and comfortable place to be. There are no overbearing sales pitches just sessions to get you back to 100%!

Dr. Kirsten Sage is a phenomenal chiropractor and her office staff are very nice. When I first started going to Dr. Sage, I had to be on a lot of medication for chronic headaches. Now, I am only taking herbal supplements. Her techniques are gentle, but she is very talented and knows just where to adjust for maximum effect. The first visit was a long consultation and she ordered x-​rays, so she really knew where to help me out.
Within the first 3 sessions, she helped me sit with good posture. I have had a sloped neck for a long time, and she really helped that one — right away!
I really enjoy going to Sage Health, because not only do I get a chiropractic adjustment, I also get a complimentary massage before or after the session. It helps relax the muscles before getting work done.
I would recommend taking a walk or a bath or resting after her adjustments. I feel that helps mine set in very well.
If you are struggling from health problems, go to Dr. Sage. She would also be very good for conditions such as arthritis or chronic pain because she is gentle.
She takes AETNA and other insurance plans. Go for it!

I have used several DC’s in Encinitas and I like this place the best. Nice combination of services offered, expertise and a no pushy sales approach to care. At this office you get a short massage before the adjustment which I really like.
Then you see Dr. Sage who is like a shinny sun of happiness (I want what she’s having). Went in for headaches and got relief from that, plus another problem I that I was trying to resolve with my MD but getting nowhere with that approach.
Like her, like her office, like that I don’t have to wait 20 minutes after my scheduled time to see her and love that they don’t try to get me to book 5 more sessions before I leave the office. Highly recommend this place.
