As always my visit with Raelyn was amazing. She is always very professional. Her ability to read my body and find the areas that need focus is impeccable! As a mom, I seem to get used to walking around with tight, achy muscles. Raelyn is able to work her magic and relieve the tension I carry around.

I feel amazing after my 90 minute session, and Raelyn’s professionalism is top notch. With so many ‘discount’ massages out there (heck even the mall has those center-​court chairs), it’s refreshing to find a true practitioner of healing massage therapy.
I have been resistance training in the gym and had built up a lot of tension, so I decided it was time to get some body work done. I turned to Unilocal and found Raelyn had very sincerely positive reviews so I emailed her and set up my appointment. When I got there she went over any injuries or concerns I had, then asked what benefits I was hoping to achieve from the session. She mixed different techniques and seemed very apt at reading my body and delivering exactly the right amount of pressure. Like I said, a true professional! On top of all that she was even nice enough to wait for me outside since it was my first time to her office.
If you are looking for a really positive, relaxing atmosphere and a skilled therapist’s touch, you can’t do any better!

I made this Unilocal account to keep a journal of all the restaurants I’ll visit on my road trip this summer, but my first review is for Massage Therapy with Raelyn. That should tell you something right there.
A little about my background: I have had 4 herniated discs since age 11. I’ve had 2 surgeries and many hospitalizations. I was supposed to have a 3^rd surgery 2 years ago but refused, instead opting to go to a month long rehabilitation program. I have taken everything from Ibuprofen to morphine and steroid packs. So, when I say I know my body, what feels good and is healing, and isn’t, I know what I’m talking about.
Raelyn helped save my life. A month before my big road trip I had the biggest flair up of radiating leg pain since 2004. I made an appointment with her the next day and well, I’m leaving for my trip at the end of the month!!!
Key points:
–Her biggest asset is the personal connection she established with me instantly. She asked questions and gave feedback easily. She summed up what I told her my issues were in order to make sure we were on the same page. It wasn’t just ‘hello now get on the table’. And when I left, I left feeling like she truly cares what would happen to me after.
–The massage room. Even though I have had to undress countless times because of my condition, there was something very comforting about how dark her room is. I mean, it is dark! The music is light, that new agey instrumental kind, and it filled the silence nicely. And best of all, NO STRONG SMELLS. I know everyone is different, and for me because I have such a keen sense of smell, strong odors (pleasant or not) can make me sick. There was no overpowering smell of oil, candles, incense, anything. Just crisp, clean smell of sheets and a light scent of flowers from potted plants.
–She is very quiet during the massage, even whispering when she does speak. Even though I wasn’t going to her to simply relax, that added a relaxation element to that was greatly appreciated as I was in so much pain.
–It felt like she read my body like a book. Every single spot that was in pain, sore, tender, tight, she manipulated in one way or another without me having to say a word. And she also wasn’t afraid to use some non-​traditional massage techniques such as stretching, which turned out to be my favorite part. I haven’t had that kind of help and guidance since I was at the Rehab Institute in Chicago.
–She gave me amazing tips for after the massage. Most people will say ‘drink a lot of water’ and that’s it. Of course she said this, but also gave me a tip on a homeopathic medicine that I picked up and has worked wonders, and to take Epsom salt baths. I’ve read many times about the benefits of Epsom salts, but sometimes it just takes that 20^th time from the right person to hear it and get it, you know?
Long review is long, but she deserves it. As she is someone who I know can help me take care of my self for the long term, I will definitely be going back as a regular and I suggestion you make an appointment to see her as soon as you can! If she can help me this much while I’m in pain, I can’t imagine what it must be like to see her just to chill out and de-​stress! Something akin to heaven, I suppose. Thank you Raelyn!!!

I really enjoyed Raelyn’s calm presence, positive attitude, and attention in her massage.
She is very knowledgable about a lot of things and this shows up in her work. For example, i had some shoulder issues that cropped up recently. She was able to give me some advice on how I could change my yoga practice to not stretch as far, and focus on strengthening and resistance. I have already incorporated this into my practice, and noticed a shift in how I feel.
I booked another session at the end of the massage, very cool.

I have tried many massage therapists and by far Raelyn offers what many others lack, understanding of the human body and how it’s connected to your senses since she knows every tension releasing trigger point, Unlike when she used to work at Massage Envy, she now has the time to be more flexible and cater to each customer’s needs.
I always come in feeling beaten down by life’s stress, but feel like a new person when I leave. High end Spa Treatment with individualized customer service. I highly recommend Raelyn.

I love my every other week massages with Raelyn. I used to go to Massage Envy to see Raelyn there and had to wait for at least a month to book an appointment with her. She was by far the most popular masseuse there with a loyal following. She is so good that she is frequently sought to teach others her unique style.
Now that she’s operating her own business, her consistently wonderful massages are available to me with more flexibility and at near the same prices as I was paying (including tip) at massage envy.
My favorite are her massages that combine deep tissue therapy with hawaiian lomi massage for something that is the most enjoyable relaxation I have ever experienced. I’m addicted!
