Pro Trees Arborist is dedicated to the proper care of trees. Correct and careful Pruning Planting and Tree Preservation is what we do. We specialize in correct, careful tree trimming, pruning and tree health. We also handle large and hazardous tree removal. In addition to our tree service in Encinitas and San Diego, we offer Arborist consulting. We try to stay local and we use Biofuels in our equipment. We are motivated to remain an environmentally conscious company. Our goal is to create a positive impact on our community.

Very fast! I reached out in the morning, and by early afternoon they’d stopped by to assess and haul away my stuff for recycling. Eco-​friendly and efficient!

I called Theron on a Thursday. He said he would be in my neighborhood on Friday morning and said he would come by at 10:30. A few hours later I realized I had another appointment on Friday that conflicted. I left a message for Theron on Thursday afternoon, asking if we could move the appointment. When I did not hear back from him by 10:00 on Friday morning, I called again, told him I was headed to my house and that I would be there. I arrived home at 10:20 am. And then I waited and waited and waited. He never showed up. He never called back. Keep in mind he picked the original day & time to meet AND he had two voicemail messages from me. Unless he had a medical or family emergency, I can’t imagine why he didn’t call back. It’s a poor way to run a business. I’ll be contacting another arborist who wants my project.

Theron and his team did a great job. Estimate was reasonable. Scheduling was timely. The work was carried out well. Our yard looks great and our trees are healthy. The team cleaned up and kept our yard in good order. Friendly good professional service. So glad we used the services of an arborist.

They were there as scheduled, professional, kept everything very neat and were very helpful and creative on working out the best way to access the area in my yard to remove these old trees. Theron was great on his communication too. I would highly recommend them!!!

I stopped and chatted with the crew at a job site and they seem pretty good and knowledgeable but new to the company. Theron answered on my first call and set a tentative appointment for an estimate for the same day. Two days before Christmas. He made it thru traffic and looked at two properties and we talked until it was too dark to see. Work is scheduled for today and lets see how it goes. We looked at six or seven different types of trees and each one has a specific need. Estimate is fair and reasonable and looking forward to getting this done before year end.

I used Pro Tress to trim queen palms. Had somewhat of a difficult time pinning them down on a specific date and time for the work. After a few false starts we were able to schedule a mutual date. Once the crew arrived, they did a good job on the trees — they were on time, did nice work and cleaned up well before they left.
If it weren’t for the scheduling difficulty, I would have issued 5 stars instead of 4.

Theron and crew came by and trimmed 7 – 8 of our tall eucalyptus trees, and made sure they were healthy. I definitely recommend them.

After glowing reviews of this business, I tried for FIVE weeks to get my trees trimmed with them. The first two calls I made were never returned. When I finally reached Theron, we set an appointment for him to come out to give me an estimate. He never showed up. He called later that evening to apologize. He then came over unannounced the next day! Fortunately, I was home. His estimate seemed fair and we agreed to the tree trimming. He told me he’d call me within the week to put me on the schedule. Two weeks later, no call. Finally after waiting three weeks, he called to say we’d be scheduled for «next» week. Well it is Friday of next week, I have decided to use a different service. Hope you have better luck!

We have used Theron and his crew many times since we moved to Encinitas — they are THE best in the business. We cannot say enough good things about them; the entire staff is professional, knowledgable, and all have a keen eye for balance. We’re amazed that they can «see» the tree while on a branch with a pole and saw! When they leave, there is no evidence they were here except beautifully trimmed trees. They are not «tree trimmers» — they are arborists and there is definitely a difference… Thanks, Theron!
