Plaza Cleaners

It pains me to have to update reviews to something lower than they once were, but it is what it is. Gotta be fair across the board.
In the last 6 – 9 months I have noticed the quality of our dry cleaning go down. Often, our shirts will still have spots, pants will have weird marks, etc.
Then there was the incident with the pants with holes in them a couple weeks ago. When I went to pick up my dry cleaning, they gave me back a pit of pants, unlaundered, with a green paper stapled to them next to some holes. They said they came in like that, so they never sent them out. But no phone call me to right after I dropped them off? I honesty didn’t inspect the clothes before I dropped them off, and we do have scissors and children in our house, so it is fathomable that they might have had holes in them when I dropped them, but my kids have never cut anything else, besides paper, before or after, so I don’t know…
My husband had the final straw when he was getting ready for work last week and put on yet another pair of dirty pants. «Time to find a new dry cleaner!»
So that’s where I’m at now. Sigh.

Plaza Cleaners is
.cleaners.I.have.ever.found! They do an outstanding job of cleaning my clothes — in my opinion, better than the famous (and very expensive) Margaret’s of Rancho Santa Fe and La Jolla — and their prices are very reasonable. The owner is not talkative, but he is very efficient and runs a great business. He gets a broad smile on his face when I compliment him on their service, and his wife is gregarious, smart and an excellent seamstress. I love this place and will never go anywhere else. Further, I don’t carry cash and they have always taken checks without comment. I do not believe they have a cash-​only policy. I can’t say enough good things about this place! ANOTHER reason to love Encinitas!!!

I bet everyone that is writing a bad review on this place is probably racist. oh sure they don’t speak English very well. And it says that there not responsible for any damage or lost buttons put if you ask them nicely and there not that busy then they might have your laundry done by the next day.

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE BY OWNER. He actually refused to talk to me about my shirt that was ruined by his company. He actually left to avoid responsibility. What a cowardly unprofessional thing to do. He lost a pair of my pants already and I let it slide, but to blow me off twice is unacceptable. Time to move on…

I’m reluctant to tell you about Plaza Cleaners, as I am afraid they will get too busy. They have by far the best prices around and they do a great job. The husband and wife that own it are very pleasant people and appreciate my business. I wholeheartedly recommend Plaza Cleaners. Skip

The main reason I went here was because they offered same day service. Today was the third time I went in and I was told they aren’t doing it today. If it says on the door in by «10 out by 5» then that;s what it should be. It has never been the most convenient location for me so I will have to start looking for somewhere closer to my work.

I’ve had great service from Plaza Cleaners. Service is fast and good, and you can pay cash or by check. Their best job was pressing my daughter’s wedding dress before the wedding, then cleaning and pressing it afterwards. They got all the grass and dirt stains out of the train, and it cost Half the price of other local dry cleaners. Very satisfied!

The people there are really nice. Haven’t had a problem with service. Prices are reasonable.

I found a drycleaner in the Carlsbad /​Encinitas area that cleans suits for $ 2.75 a piece and does everything on site — Plaza Cleaners and Alteration !!! The lady working the counter was amazingly nice– she asked open ended questions and I truley felt that she cared. This is a small operation, but I am happy I found it.
It is open 7a-​7p during the week and 8a-​5p on Sat. Prepay with cash only.

Great one day service. In before 10am you can pick up after 5pm. Is this the best dry cleaning service I have ever had? No. But reasonable prices and the same day service really appeal to me. Best customer service? No. But they do remember you when come in so no need to bring back that silly claim check.
My clothes have always come out nicely however the husband says the press on his dress shirts, not so great.
